The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding installation services, product returns, and customer support. Many reviews highlight issues with rushed installations and poor communication, leading to repeated service calls. Customers frequently encounter difficulties with returns and refunds, often citing long wait times and inadequate support from customer service representatives. While the company offers a wide selection of products and some positive experiences with online orders, the overarching sentiment suggests a need for substantial improvements in service reliability and customer care to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Do Not shop in the Westminster Store. Do Not trust their geek squad. I was unable to accompany my grandmother to the store when her 18 month old HP All in One computer stopped working. In the span of an afternoon the sales team and Geek Squad looked at her computer and convinced her it was dead and way too expensive to fix. They charged her for programs and virus protection she already had and convinced her to buy an ASUS brand and told her HP is going down hill so it was a better buy. They also charged her to transfer her data for an additional $60. I talked to her after all of this was done and told her and my aunt to make sure and get her old unit back when they picked up the new one. I had contacted HP and they were willing to repair it for free because it was only 18 months old. When my Grandmother went to get it she was told they had to rip the old one apart and it was useless so they recycled it. Not only did they sell an inferior product to my grandmother who has a hard time hearing and understanding they destroyed and recycled a computer that potentially could have been fixed. I am disgusted with Best Buy. The sales team and geek squad are thieves. I understand they are in business to make money but really do they have a conscious? I will never shop at any best buy store again. I encourage others to boycott and if you do have to interact with them please help your elderly relatives when dealing with these money hungry criminals.
That's about all I can say about Best Buy... their middle of the road for customer service, prices, and shipping.
I ordered a new projector from them for my brothers bday. It arrived faster than expected and was in perfect condition. I hope he loves it!
Best Buy is a place that you aleays keep just in case you need to get something at last minute that you couldnt find cheaper somewhere else. Rarely do I ever shop here. I prefer better prices.
Not a fan of their Geek squad service since many of their techs are very beginner type. I wouldn't buy their plan considering you would be spending almost double of what you originally paid for.
I have purchased a car stereo that needed to be installed to find out that the sales person was incorrect in promise time (offered a time when service was not even available) I did not even receive an apology from the manager who was quick to tell me that even though the time had been written on my paperwork by the clerk, I was wrong to think that they would be there at that time...
Why would anyone shop at BestBuy when many other online vendor offer must better price. OH forget about their price match Guarantee, their idea of the price match is take the final sale price of other vendor and then add tax on top of it for a higher final price. Contact their customer service and they will direct you to pages and pages of mumble jumble policy for enjoyment. No wonder why they are losing business to the other vendor.
Best Buy is a far cry from what its name implies, but on occasion they have good deals on computer parts and other electronics. Worth a look occasionally if you use sites like Pcpartpicker.com.
Where I shop for almost every occasion! Always a good find.
I bought some computer accessories, stationery and a camera. Great deals
We've ordered from Best Buy online twice and picked up in store. It was easy and flawless.
As the title says, it is no more "BEST"
Technicians are poorly trained. Customer service is worst. Unless you have more time to hold, you can call them. When you are at their mercy, you know the pain. They keep transferring phones from one to another. Everyone is a supervisor. That is what they call themselves. My refrigerator took 2 months to fix (still broken). Finally, they approved to get a replacement. My elite plus status was downgraded without any notification.
For repairs, they send A&E company. This company will try to experiment your device/appliance. They come one week to check, order parts and then come next week to fix. Even before your device is working, they might have gone away. You have to repeat the same cycle again and again.
I received a tv that wasn't working properly on arrival. I gave them a call and fixed the problem fast and efficiently. The have great customer service!
I visited today to expressly use a $5, and $10 certificate. Unfortunately I had not recognized that Outlook prevented download of pictures and the bar code for both certificates were not visible (I'll own that). I was able to find the $10. Email with the bar code. The register attendant got annoyed when I could not find the $5 coupon email. It looks to me if you see a $10 certificate is valid, why would the $5 not be, and simply do an over-ride. He told me if I found the email to come back within 2 weeks and it would be credited.
1. It's not worth my time to go back to the store (20 mins away) for a $5 discount. I consider it a lost cause at this point.
2. This young man has no inkling of negotiating with a customer, even when one certificate (larger at that) was found.
3. There is an OfficeMax which is located 2 stores down, which will serve well to purchased ink cartridges.
Today, BestBuy lost a very valuable purchaser over a trivial matter.
I always find great deals at Best Buy and the online order and pickup at store is very handy.
They seem to know what they are doing and can take you right to what you need.
I bought two items from the best buy online and the time from ordering to receiving via mail was short of amazing. I'm very pleased with best buy.
Their site has almost the same as their store, to tell the truth there is other online stores weree the same products are cheaper
Answer: I am sure there is a catch-like a 2 year contract. No one gives you a phone for $1
Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
Answer: Great question. Let us know if you were able to get reimbursed.
Answer: I chose Best Buy tech support because they seemed to offer a good deal on support and I bought my products there. I'll go elsewhere now.
