Item shipped to wrong address. Spent four phone calls and one email attempting to speak to customer service. Never received a response. Item price was about $2000. It is now two weeks since purchase.
Eventually I asked credit card to hold payment. Been shopping at Bergdorfs for nearly 60 years but I don't see how I can continue
I ordered a handbag from Bergdorf Goodman and it arrived in a badly packaged box - torn at the top.
All of the handle's hardware were abrasive looking and scratched. The leather was scraped on one side.
In my opinion, it was used and returned / put back on the shelf for sale.
Very dissapointing from BG. I don't think I can trust their website/online shopping anymore.
They kept telling me my order was shipped but I'd get an email stating it was cancelled. Called customer service, and they hung up on my twice and the third time put me on hold for 23 minutes so I hung up. Never gonna deal with them again, and going to never recommend this website to family and friends.
I had to call in to purchase a bag that was 50% off which was a really great deal for this type of bag and brand. They said it was available and I was able to purchase it and took money from my credit card. In the process of ordering it, I had to repeat myself so many times. It's like their workers are not competent at all.
I got the confirmed email. Couple of days later, I got another email that it was ready to ship. Then a day later, I got another email that said my bag is no longer available.
I was pretty upset. I contacted customer service and told them what happened. All they wrote was, "it was cancelled." I did not cancel anything! The customer service didn't even bother to help. I bet you their own people kept it for themselves.
Never buy from this company ever again. Waste of my time shopping with them.
I placed an order and paid for 2 day shipping. It has been over a week and the items still have not even shipped. They told me they do not offer expedited shipping, yet they charge for 2 day or even overnight.
I purchased my mom's Christmas present from BG online and paid $25 for expedited shipping. I had even called to verify the shipping date and was assured it would be delivered timely. Now day 3 and I called customer service and was told IT HAD NOT EVEN BEEN SHIPPED OUT YET. He muttered something about high volume...ok then do not advertise 1-2 shipping and charge $25 for it. I don't care about the $25 but what I DO care about is that if this retailer had not misreprented that it would have the perfume here in 1-2 days, I could have purchased elsewhere and my mom's Christmas would not be ruined. Customer service was pitiful as well, nothing but false promises. Stick with Saks, I have never had an issue with them. Their online chat even ghosted me when I tried to let them know there was a problem. Just stay away. Their merchandise is pricey. If you buy something expensive, you should trust that it is going to be shipped. Not sit in a warehouse because the "volume is high right now."
Bergdorf offers "same day delivery". So, instead of ordering from any other company, i chose BG. They reconfirmed "same day delivery"
They did not delivery same day.
They did not communicate that it would not be same day.
They just dropped the ball.

I ordered online Creme De La Mer but never got a confirmation order number in the email. When I called them for the order number, they told me someone else was using my card! It upset me to think someone hacked my charge account. However, I was charged for it. They told me to dispute it with my bank to get my credit back but a few days later, there was a box on my doorstep! They shipped it anyway after making me feel I was crazy. I had gone and ordered it again with Saks so I called Bergdorf and told them I was returning the creams and they REFUSED to take them back! They are clearly insane
I ordered a $1200 bag on October 17 under the expectation it would have to be here by Nov 5. For a birthday present. Today is now November 3 and it hasn't even shipped. Furthermore, the "delivery" date keeps being delayed with no notice that it will be delayed until the date has passed. I've contacted Customer service multiple times and all they tell me there is an expected delivery date but no more. The "expected delivery date" is just a cop out for not being able to ship. If they were unable to ship I would rather be told then waiting around because now I am out a gift for someone and scrambling at the last minute to find something. Highly disappointed and never ordering from Bergdorf again.
Received an item with a makeup stain and did not even check since tried it on and did not fit. Requested refund the same day and returned next day and it was returned back to me saying I had worn it. I am stock with someone else's product because they send out without checking and they do not accept back. Horrible for this type of store.
BG posts items for sale that you don't really have! This happened to me recently with two separate purchases I made! BG collected my money and they have not returned it to me yet.
Anyone who shops on gift card event should be prepared that BG could scam you out with the promotion. I placed an order over two months ago and so far I still haven't received a gift card. I called in a couple times asking what was going on and even the customer service manager had no idea when they would issue the gift card after I asked them to give me an estimated time. I spent $2000 to get that answer. What a joke! Very disappointed at the way the so-called high end store's CS works. They should have learned from Saks when it comes to gift card events which BG doesn't do often.
Great customer service. I was there last month and they never disappoint. A little bit pricey but genuine. The staff is so professional and always ready to help and guide you. I love the window display! Definitely one of the most beautiful store I have ever visited.
We purchased some cosmetics online and when they arrived were not what my wife expected. BG did provide a mailing label to return the product for a refund. The problem is that we paid $167.80 for the product and after 2 weeks waiting for the refund, they only refunded $125.85. A call to them to find out why, was a complete waste of time. The person had now idea and pretty much said that's the way it is. We would not recommend you trust this seller or site.
You can always count on Bergdorf's to have something when you are looking for a fashionable outfit that'll make a statement even if it is last minute - at least this is my experience. They are one of my absolute favorite department stores!
I ordered a $2500 handbag which turned out to defective when I received it. They didn't accept the return and they claimed it had been used. Don't ever ever buy anything from this store again
I waited for half year to get the beauty event which can take you 200 off when you spend 1000. I placed my order through phone call. Then the sales sent me the wrong items and I asked for exchange, but she told me all the options I want were out of stock. I waited for two weeks, then sent wrong items back. They decreased my event gift card because I returned the wrong items. However, I checked with both online chat and phone service, both of them told me I should get back the exact money I paid for everything with the discount price. The Bergdorf Goodman New York store does not follow their rules which other service told me should be the same as stores saying they have different rules. Plus there is no documents and any instructions to prove the different rule she told me. Have no idea what I did wrong? Because I sent back the wrong items? Worst shopping experience ever have.
I returned an item and it arrived about a month ago. No one seems to know the item's whereabout and I am just getting redirected. Refund process hasn't even started yet. Every customer service agent is telling me different things and none of what they have said to me actually happened.
I would be extremely aware of their policies. The company, a high end brand is totally rigid and inconsiderate to their customers issues. The answers I received to my emails are simple templates adapted in a hurry. None of the customer service employees I ended up emailing with even bother to personalize their response.
You would definitely expect more emphaty during these unfortunate times but Bergdorf Goodman seems to simply not care. In an era when companies' main goal is to retain their customers this retailers makes no effort whatsoever.
Ordered a handbag during their last promotion of gift card bonus w/purchase, in Oct.
The wrong handbag came(wrong colored hardware). I immediately contacted and got a return label, shipped return straight away. Instead of simply fill the order correctly, they have now charged my debit card again for the same purchase $$$, no REFUND showing!
3 weeks later, they have now 2 transactions for the handbag and I still do not even have the purse.
It should have been expedited to me, and don't understand why a second charge, as the style number has not changed.?
Plus this was done on promo, so I even get by bonus gift card. Literally the only reason I bought from Bergdoorfs...
Now I have to call and attempt to sort this out.
This may be the last time I order online w/ Bergdorf's. Your company is supposed to be better at customer service, this is turned into a headache.
Answer: I didn't get the right item shipped to me. It went out of stock. And they did nothing but offer an insincere apology and forced me to go through all the effort of managing the return.
