I ordered a designer velvet card case on gold chain/micro clutch from BG. When it arrived in pristine condition I decided it was just too small. Yes, it was a beautiful piece, but I had the right to change my mind.
The item came with a return FedEx label. I packaged everything up nicely and still in pristine condition with tags and original packaging. (Oddly the item was shipped in a huge box even though it is the size of a business card holder).
After sending it off with Fedex almost a month later I had not received my refund. Suddenly, one day this week I see a package from BG. I was surprised because I did not place any recent orders. I open the box and inside is a letter stating my return can not be accepted due to the item being worn, tags removed, etc. I removed the packaging and there underneath was the velvet card case!
I was so shocked that the item had been returned to me. I looked at it further and the box looked tampered with and the beautiful gold chain was also missing! I immediately called BG and they said I had worn the item and they cannot refund me. I complained and asked for an investigation because I sent it back in pristine condition unused. After two or three days they followed up to say they could not refund me and the returns dept states the item was used and the chain is missing!
It did not matter that I gave them my word and told them I packaged everything exactly as received. What they sent me back was poorly packaged and with a missing chain for the velvet card case. Now I will not receive a full refund and I have a useless micro bag!
They are scamming consumers! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Had an issue from the BG and it was a big one. Bought a few things back in march. Decided to return some of the items. And got an email that they received the return package but one of the return item is incorrect. Waited another week. Expect to have another email of my other item that was missing from their email. Weeks later, still nothing. How can you mistake a $300 bottle of lamer with a $20 eye brush? Sent out lots of email and phone calls to let them know they make a mistake. The Phone guy act like he understands my problem and issue me another shipping label for the lamer that I already sent back to them. If you understands the mistake that you guys make, why send me another shipping label? Sent another email after the phone call, the person reply the email says the phone guy already sent the shipping label, told me to just wait. I repeat many many times on the phone and on email that the bottle of lamer concentrate was sent back with the other eye cream. They make a mistake of refund me a $20 eye brush instead of the more than $300 lamer concentrate. I gave up, so I sent the $20 eye brush back to them as a return too. Weeks after I sent it and still hear anything from them. Called again, phone guy try to blame it on fedex. Try to hang up on me and have me call fedex. I have to tell him again that they make a mistake at the first place and I should have my refund of the lamer concentrate already since they received long ago. The one in the second package now they say is still in transit with FedEx is the eye brush. He ended up put me on hold for a long time to talk to his supervisor. Supervisor finally send out email to the return department about they make a mistake of the switch items. Very bad experience with BG, from now on, I will take pictures of what's inside the package before I send them back. And BG's phone guys don't seem like they know what they are doing and they don't respond when you ask them and have to say hello many times. And when put you on hold they don't inform you. I don't see any good customer service here. I repeat that they make the mistake many time, doesn't seem like anyone listen or read. Remember! Take pictures of what's inside the package before you return it! They know what they did, all the phone guy or email people never send me a survey email, the only one who did was the guy from a text message that I only say hello and bye and didn't need his help at the end.
Berdorf Goodman is as good and expensive as it gets. My wife only gets to shop here once a year because that is all I can afford!

Item i ordered still "in process" a week after i ordered... wtf... cancelled order... very disappointing
I ordered my favorite perfume in a set. It came and I immediately noticed the color was OFF. I called right away and the first rep helped me kindly but emailed me a return label before actually listening to my problem. I know for a fact this Twilly perfume was not the real deal or it was VERY old so I don't want someone else to re-buy it. As I was on the phone with her, I sprayed it to check and I could tell it wasn't the first spray. There was no sticker sealing anything inside the set or the box itself so I bet my life that someone has sprayed that bottle before me. It didn't smell right either. I had my legit Twilly perfume next to it to compare color and smell. No doubt it was a returned item and possibly a fake fragrance inside. The rep then tells me SORRY we can't return this item so I asked for a supervisor. This is where bad to worse got to be the worst! Amakari, the supervisor, either hung up on me or we got disconnected. I called back and asked if we do lose connection again, please call me back and she said no cuz she might get on another call. BS! She then argued with me hardcore and rude about how I opened it so it's now non returnable. Not listening to me explain that this should not ever be sold to someone because it is not the true product. Probably someone else returned it for the same reason. Interestingly I could go online and create a return label YET a supervisor on the phone is telling a customer NO NO NO over the simple fact that I opened it. I politely asked for someone else to hear me out, after being put on hold, she came back and said they're issuing a refund. I could put that crap perfume in the trash. Amakari is not someone that should be helping people on the phone; she was obstinate and condescending and did everything in her power to be UN-helpful!
I order from here because they don't charge tax. Only downside is they take forever to ship.

Answer: I didn't get the right item shipped to me. It went out of stock. And they did nothing but offer an insincere apology and forced me to go through all the effort of managing the return.
