I don't know if I just had a bad experience or what, but I didn't much care for the Sungevity sales guy I spoke with. I ended up going with Solar City but the main reason was the quality of that initial interaction.

Berdorf Goodman is as good and expensive as it gets. My wife only gets to shop here once a year because that is all I can afford!

Wealth Front is an easy way to manage personal investments with lower fees than a traditional wealth management or brokerage firm. I like to do a lot of my own investing so it suited me just fine. I don't know how it compares to Vanguard and other low-cost providers but I've been impressed by Wealth Front so far.

Flywheel is a taxi cab hailing app. It's better than calling a cab because it taps into all the cab networks and also lets you see where you cab is on a GPS map. But the app is a little buggy and sometimes it breaks or freezes. But it's still better than calling a taxi if that is your only other option. I've also had my taxi take much longer than the time the app says as an estimate. But I've also had that happen when calling a cab so I guess it's not that different.

Lyft is a neat new ride sharing service that works like a taxi but an ordinary person drives you around. I tried it for the first time last week and it was a lot of fun and a good deal. It's a little bit cheaper than a taxi. The slightly odd part is that you're not supposed to sit in the back seat instead you sit in the front seat and talk to the driver just like it were your friend. My driver was cool so I didn't mind but I could imagine it could be weird with a bad driver. Anyhow it's a nice service and worth trying!

I used Solar City to put panels on my home. It wasn't too much of a hassle. Their customer service and staff are all pretty friendly and helpful. So far I've been saving money and have enjoyed the process. My only concern is that if I decide to sell my home one day, I'm not entirely clear on what happens with the solar panels if the new buyers don't want to take on my contract. I think you have to buy out the contract which would be expensive or pay to have the panels moved (assuming that's even possible?). But for now I'm not moving so have been happy with Solar City.

Group Golfer is like a daily deals site but for golf, which in my humble opinion is a pretty good idea. The deals are legit--mostly decent courses and decent discounts. There are some restrictions on the deals about when you can play, but for the most part, I haven't had a problem with tee times, etc. In a way, I like it better than GolfNow because the deals here are better. But the downside is you don't have as much choice about which course you can play and when.

Instacart gives you awesome and cheap grocery delivery from major supermarkets. I don't have a car so picking up heavy things like olive oil and bags of potatoes can be a real pain. But with Instacart, if you spend over $35 it's only $3.99 for delivery in under two hours during regular store business hours. And you can get it even faster for more money (I've never done this though). I don't think it's available in every city yet, but if it's available in your city, I'd definitely give it a try.
