BELK IS THE WORST I ordered several items from them online since there was a good deal and also doorbusters. They send part of my order and Then part of my order was automatically canceled without any notification. I called customer service, and They promise to fulfill the rest of my order at the price I ordered it, they even send me an email stating they will honor the price, but do not believe them, when you call they will try to sell you at the original price with 15% off REALLY! I AM STILL WAITING ON THEM TO CALL ME BACK, WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY. OH, CUSTOMER SERVICE OR SHOULD I SAY NO SERVICE a waste of time, and don't bother calling corporate it sends you right back to a regular customer, I will return that part of the order they sent, I will Never shop a Belks again. DO NOT SHOP AT BELK, Not recommended to anyone at all. I would give ZERO if it was an option.
My sister and I went to Belks in Baton Rouge, La. My sister was standing in line waiting to check out. When it became her turn the check out woman walked away and pretend she was busy hanging up clothes. (This was a Caucasian lady) so my sister stayed in line until the other lady waited on me and went to her as soon as my sister went to the other cashier she asked a Caucasian lady 'may I help you) my sister said to her 'you walked away when I was in line and now you are asking this lady if you can help her." The other blacks behind was in shock. My sister said to the other cashier she wasn't going to make the purchased and walked away. I was still standing there. She then started talking to the other cashier but she didn't respond to her. I said you owe her an apology. She said I don't, I didn't do anything wrong. OMG. I reported it to Corp and they had the supervisor he said he was going to talk to the cashier. He said will your sister continue to shop with Belks I said I don't know. He should have offered her an incentive to continue shopping there. So obvious! 0 rating
My first time ordering:
1. They put a "hold" on my debit card for the entire amount of my order, $247. Then, they charged me again as the items left the warehouse in multiple shipments. I currently have DOUBLE the amount of my order ($494) pending in my bank account! This means I HAVE NO ACCESS TO THESE FUNDS.
When I called Belk, their very rude customer service manager blamed my bank for not releasing the "hold" fast enough. He didn't seem to think that this practice (of charging a customer the full amount; and then charging the customer the full amount again) was abnormal. He even argued with me about it! He said he'd email me the contact information to their corporate office but I never received an email. I called back and another customer service person said she'd email me. Still no email. It's been several days and the money, $494 is still pending in my account. I only spent $247 with Belk! This is unheard of! What kind of a company does this?
2. I received an item that was not as pictured or described on their website. I checked the sku # and it was listed correctly but the item's manufacturer tags were for a different pant with a different name. It turns out that Belk mislabeled the item in their warehouse, in the online photos, and online description!
3. I ordered a size XSmall sweater and received a size Large.
4. I entered my email in the website for a $10 coupon for a first time order and the coupon didn't work.
I will NEVER ORDER FROM BELK AGAIN. And to read so many similar reviews is disturbing! I NEVER authorized them to charge me twice! What they are doing is NOT legal.
Customer service is the worst no register in major departments home childrens or mens. No employee helped just kept doing inventory. Lost big sales probably around 6 or 7 hundred dollars. What a shame. Left stuff in floor and went to home goods and ultra beauty. Customers should be number one sales at the end of night should be important. Cindy Katherine should be running store. Bring ANGIE BETH who knew their Customers by name. No one T make up counter somone in shoes and jewelry called over to say they would help when they were busy with other customers. They knew nothing about clinique products. Why is jewelry running over to do cosmetic departments. Our time is valuable had other appointments. Lost another sales went to ultra and spent 260 in products. Will not a customer in a store were manager cared more about inventory than making a sale. Though you quys were there to make sales and the store a profit. You lost a older loyal customer get Angie Mallory and BETH HARRIS. WHEN CUSTOMERS WERE IMPORTANT. WITH OUT CUSTOMERS YOU DONT HAVE A JOB Get rid of smart mouth managers who careless with customers and the service we deserve. Bring back a team who knows their customers by name. Your former loyal customer who now will shop somewhere who think we deserve respect and good customer service. Give Cindy and Katherine who are the only ones who knows and speaks to us we are not a nuisance we are your job. Start looking soon I can see now while you had to file bankruptcy. Why does Belk charge a $9.50 delivery fee for one item being shipped standardly? This is a little high compared to most other sites.

I ordered a bottle of Armani on December 2nd and received confirmation it was in stock. This was the only item my son asked for Christmas and I live approximately 80 miles from a department store. I called Belk customer service on Monday December 20th because it had not been delivered nor did I receive any sort of communication on the status. I was transferred to a customer service "specialist" who told me he would take care of this and I would receive the Armani by Christmas. I called today, December 23rd and was told they did not know what happened to my order and would report this to Belk "Marketplace" but would not know anything for 3-5 days! I asked to speak to a supervisor who could have cared less of my situation and said she could not help me. I thanked her for nothing and hung up. I called the Belk department store in Pensacola to ask if I could pay for a bottle over the phone so my daughter could pick it up and she told me Belk no longer carries Armani. I have been a Belk customer and card holder for many, many years but no longer will I shop there. Worst customer service I've had with the exception of a order I placed with a horrible company in China!
This order was the first time I have used your company. Let me explain the situation:
1 - I placed the order online at between 7-8 am est on Wednesday 12/17.
2 - The order on Thursday was still showing as in process, so I called. I was informed at that time, don't worry, you will get a shipment notice by Friday morning.
3 - Friday morning came, I called, and informed them I still didn't have a shipment notice. They said not to worry, it would get shipped out by 1pm on Saturday and still arrive in time for Christmas.
4 - On Saturday morning, I checked, still in process. Saw the customer service wasn't open until 9am so waited.
5 - At almost 10am on Saturday, I was sent an email that my order was canceled because it was out of stock. This is over 3 day's (72 hours) after I placed the order. I did everything I think I could have possibly done, and the fact that I wasn't given any clue this item may be canceled is ridiculous. After the order was canceled, I checked the site and the item was still shown as in stock. They offered me 15% off next time I ordered, how insulting.
This one place I will not go back to the customer service was ughhh they was looking like we wasn't supposed to be there I wanted to purchase a $300 bag they act like I was broke before I made a seen I left n purchase the same bag at Dillard's this store is in Rockwall Texas I wouldn't step a foot back in there if I could rate it a zero I would

I work at Belk never every was giving the opportunity to move up in company but instead move some; someone else into the company move up to management associate and human resources. Jessie and Ed Myers suck as manager he is all about him selfish self what he can get out of it I trying go in resolved this issue but do not did not want to resolved it even complaining to EEOC which is equal opportunity employment commission and try to settle with the Belk of orange park
They opp out of mediation now I'm filling a law suit against Belk of orange park not a good company to work for no hours no pay and you never move up with the company unless you're one of their favorites are your favoritism are you know someone that knows someone? Then you'll move up with the company. Other than that, you can forget it There will be investigation with Belk of Orange Park store # 149 thank you Matthew D Satterwhite be aware of this company. On December 20th of 2022 I ordered a pair of shoes with bees on them. They shipped shoes that are supposedly cheetah print. I hate animal prints. I immediately tried to return them to the nearest store. They could not take them back because they are a third party sale, some nonsense about a "marketplace" scam, which I did not understand, but it sure sounds like Fraud. I bought them from Belk's website using my Belk account, Belk took the money by hitting my account for them. I tried to call the number they gave for "marketplace" issues. No one answered the phone. I tried talking to Belk about it, both on the phone and via chat, they told me there is nothing they can do! I opened a case, that no one ever followed up on. After another phone call, an agent opened another case that no one followed up on. A week ago I was told to wait for 72 hours... It's been a month, *A Month* since I tried to buy bee shoes from Belk. I no longer trust Belk. I have spent thousands at Belk in the recent past. I did not order cheetah shoes, (which do not resemble a cheetah print anyway, can't really tell what it is) I'm done. I tried to return these shoes. I did not order these shoes. I do not like these shoes. I will not pay for these shoes. I will not pay to ship them back. I am unable to reach anyone that is willing to do anything about it. I have paid off my account minus the amount they owe me for these shoes plus tax. So now, after an in person attempt at a store, online chat, multiple phone calls and multiple emails, there is still a $54.11 balance hanging out there that they need to clear before it hits my credit report.
From a deplorable! That big fat red section of the map that won't spend my thousands of dollars anymore at Belk. Shameful!
I was shopping for shoes to go with a dinner dress that I had purchased. Beck in Elkin didn't have the shoes I needed, they were the first ones I checked with, because I live in Elkin, NC. I was going to Winston Salem the next day so I thought I would check their Belk out before I ask for help. Surprisingly they neither had them so I went to Concord NC and they didn't have my size but the so she called Statesville & they said they had my size. Called Statesville Belk the next morning and the lady in the shoe department put me on hold TWICE, Hanging up both times I called back 3rd time she said they DIDN'T have my size. After much thought I called Belk, Elkin NC and spoke to Kathy St. John and told her my story. She said immediately I will be glad to see what the problem is and call you back in 30 mins. Just a short time later Kathy called and said they were holding the shoes for me, I could either have them shipped or go to Statesville and get them. I chose to drive to Statesville. Kathy St. John should be recognized for her courtesy and help she gave. Much appreciated. Thank You. Every employee at Belk in Elkin NC has always been very helpful.
Love Belk. Only store that I will ever shop at. Especially the home office. Laura Douglas is amazing.
