I love Bealls, but not their credit card company; Comenity Bank,
I paid my bill in full through my online bill pay service with my bank and it was set up to be delivered the day before it was due. I confirmed with my bank that it was mailed and delivered on the correct date. My payment was posted to my account on the day after the due date. Their representatives blamed it on the postal service. I have used my online bill pay service through my bank for over 20 years and have NEVER had a payment arrive late. I did not check my Bealls account since I paid it in full. I was charged a late fee of $30 for June and another $30 for July, plus $2 in interest. When I spoke to their representatives, they said they could only offer a one-time $15 credit (every 18 months) and I was forced to pay $47 to stop the late fees and interest. Their credit card practices are unreasonable. I understand some people pay late and want these fees removed, but I never pay my bills late. In my humble opinion, this is a scam to force you to pay late fees if you send them a check.
I had a terrible experience with Bealls customer service over the phone. I was charged two $60 fees over a $2 interest charge, which I thought I had paid off right away. When I called to request a waiver for the late fee, since I've never been late before, the agent was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Instead of helping, she lectured me about paying on time—completely ignoring my excellent payment history. Then she lied, saying late fees are only $15. When I asked why I was charged $60, she doubled down and kept lecturing me instead of explaining or resolving the issue. I'm done using the Bealls credit card, and I highly recommend others think twice before signing up. Be aware of misleading information and poor customer service. Loyalty clearly means nothing to them.
I spent over $750 at 4 different Bealls stores in the past month. At the one in Conway, SC, I placed a ceramic apple on the counter and it rolled off and broke. The store was going to "damage it out" but I told them I'd buy it anyway (the entire back of the apple was broken). They sold it to me with 10% off. Wow! Then, I go to the Bealls in Columbia SC bc I needed to return a hamper that was missing the liner. It was the only one at the store where I bought it so I didn't know it came with one. When I returned it, I didn't have my receipt, so I lost $6 off the price I paid! I was going to buy more things at Bealls, but after what I have seen from the store and how they treat loyal customers who have spent a considerable amount of money I will no longer shop here. It's sad, I have enjoyed the store. I have spent a lot of money in this store, and they just lost a good customer over a broken apple and $6. So, sad! I would not recommend this store to anyone, now.

I bought a set of clothes for my husband 11 days before Christmas, among those clothes, a jacket. We plan to bring that set of clothes to wear on this week's trip.
I did not receive the jacket, the tracking number does not make any route or process.
I called customer service today, and Patricia informed me that she has no idea why I didn't receive it and they are going to call another company, she doesn't know when I will receive it.
Yesterday I sent a message that no one answered and evidently Bealls does not care about my loyalty as a customer, nor my membership.
My husband received his incomplete gift and the lack of follow-up from Bealls is very frustrating, they have very bad customers services, they didn't cared or apologized to me, I asked them to send me an email as a record, since they collected the money, Patricia dind't do it.
These experiences confirm to me once again why Amazon is so successful, they have an outstanding service and they take responsibility for what they sell and how they respond to a request, since we can all have errors and losses, the difference is how we respond to that situation. Bealls will not be an option the next time I shop. I highly recommend do not use them.
They let me order a product they don't have. It never shipped beyond the label making for Fedx. But they won't give me a refund.
OMG, disgusting company where do I begin! First, I've been a CC customer for decades. I used to live in Florida for 33 years until Hurricane Ian wiped me out and I had to leave. I was ordering online. I have never, ever been late with a payment. I tried to place an order yesterday and charge my Bealls CC, it wouldn't go through. I looked up my last statement and there was more than enough to use, but on my account website there wasn't. I spoke to a rep and got no where and then I talked to a supervisor, rude Sean (sp) who explained to me that they lowered my available credit due to my credit report. First of all why are checking my credit report I didn't ask for an increase. It was only an $80 decrease but why? So, due to this stupid kind of business practice I canceled my CC. I was a faithful, on time paying customer, not any more. I hope you're proud of yourselves. Go to hell! Also, they never informed me this was being done.
We were falsely accused and charged for the number of items put in our bag while shopping in PCB. BAD!
The merchandise at your stores is very tacky and the clothes are very ugly. It appears that these stores are aimed at old people. Even the sales people are old. I will never shop there again. Your stores are no better than Goodwill stores!
I placed an order online from NJ. I returned 8 items from my order.I tracked the packaged they recieved it Febuary 12th.I have not received my credit.I have spoke to several people I suspect there ARE SERIOUS issues and people are working from home. They have given every excuse and question they say it takes 60 days, they can't find the order, I RETURNED 8 ITEMS LIKEITS TOO MUCH,the tracking number isn't good? Where did i mail it too? Am i sure? Sure of what? Did I have the sku numbers? This is unacceptable and needs to be corrected.
Very disappointing since they did all the changes after removing Outlet and adding Florida to their bigger stores. Use to find deals adding to the senior day not anymore. Thank god other stores as kept the senior day where we still have rebates!
This is the third time I have bought an article of clothing and/or a towel and it has the worst smell to it. After coming out of the dryer and it ended up stinking my whole load of clothes. I am over bills. I will not be buying any more clothes or towels. Or anything like that from you guys do something about whatever they're putting in these garments to preserve them. Once I get them home and take the tag off and wash them a million times I can't return it. What am I to do? You figure it out?
This is honestly the first review I have ever left for a company online in the form of a complaint. I was in a Bealls store in North Carolina when I witness two females, walk out the door with a cart, absolutely full of merchandise, along with a black Jessica Simpson suitcase, which possibly would have had items inside as well. I very quickly informed the staff as the two women were putting items in their car as fast as I possibly could. No one seemed concerned at all. When I tried to call the customer service number to report this as well I have honestly never had anyone in customer service speak as rudely as the person I spoke with. She was not interested at all in what I had to say even after I told her that it was a matter of a large theft. I am an avid bills shopper in my local store and it's several of the stores and surrounding areas. I have never had an issue. I can count on one hand. The amount of times I've ever made a customer complaint I am not a." Karen." But it is extremely discouraging to work really hard and use that hard earned money to buy yourself and your family. Nice items only to see someone else walk away with more than I could ever afford to buy in one stop without paying a dime.
I had 4 items in my cart. I had no Christmas ornaments. I searched for a promo code that was strictly for ornaments. So that was annoying. Then here i have 64.00 in my cart. In order to get free shipping i needed to spend more money. We are in hard times. Why so greedy? This is why i have a zero balance with Bealls. Bealls has always been my favorite place to shop, but lately not so much. Everywhere i shop, i get a promo code that reduces what i spend. I'd rather purchase where i can get a better deal & Bealls no longer offers deals that are worth the effort. Retail stores are closing Everywhere you look. Wouldn't it be healthy to offer more promo codes? Offer free shipping on 50.00 rather than 100.00?
I would not be surprised if Bealls closes their doors. You need to look at the bottom line. You need us more than we need you.
As a long time customer, I was able to receive free shipping on any online purchases. What fabulous deals and quality of product I was able to find. On my last order, the free shipping benefit disappeared and I was going to be charged 10.99 for a 5.00 purchase. When I called, they said they changed credit card companies and were no longer allowed to offer that benefit. In hindsight, I have used an American Express card and was still able to receive the benefit of free shipping. It was my fault for not challenging it and should have called back. In the meantime, there will be no further ordering from Bealls. I have enjoyed the journey but it has come to and end along with the free shipping.
No senior discount, not your customer anymore. Going to Ross and get my 10%. BYE! They said they made it better. DON'T Think so!
Personally I loved Bealls like my Mother before, me, but not anymore because of the injustice...they are playing judge, jury and executioner with people's lives who have already paid their debt to society! Even those who have withheld adjudication for insignificant charges, or other non-violent crimes. People go through the court process, complete their sentences and pay their dues. Bealls hires them, puts them to work, lets invest themselves in their jobs and two weeks later --hands them a letter firing them for vague arbitrary reasons because we live in a right to work state. Either do the background check up front ** just BE HONEST ** do not hire anyone before you do your due diligence if you only want to hire the pure and pristine people. STILL I do not wish to spend my hard earned money at a place that thinks it's too good for good people who made a bad choice. I choose people over things every time...so Bealls can keep their things because we can get those anywhere and preferably someplace they treat people like they are of value! ADDITIONALLY Beall's hiring tactics of "interview today -start tomorrow'" also mean that at any given time you are most likely paying more because they are not willing to do their due their due diligence and complete background BEFORE putting someone to in the store meaning career criminals have every opportunity to rob US blind as ultimately WE PAY the higher prices for Beall's capitalist greed. So they throw away decent folk who made a mistake versus letting wolves into the henhouse all day everyday and blame it on customer theft when its the very people they invited into their backroom, into their registers and into our pockets! STOP BEALLS NOW! BOYCOTT BEALLS IN PERSON AND ONLINE!
The merchandise is now poor quality and not attractive! What happened? I always enjoyed shopping there, but now it is really a waste of my time.
Their site kept my payment info but never let me check out and their customer service is non existent
Shopped in Bealls for years. Got talked into their CC. Send bill to wrong address, won't remove late
I returned some items to a Bealls store and accidently left in the bag a item to be returned to another store but didn't realize it for a couple of days. I called the store...no help...called customer service...no help. Instead they gave me a case number with an email. I was told in the email someone would call me with an update. NO CALL. I emailed again...I received another CASE NUMBER. I called customer service again and after 1 hour and 45 minutes finally talked to someone. I was told it was being handled by corporate and to call them. I was not given a number to the corporate office in my email. I emailed again and another CASE NUMBER - 3rd case number. It has been 3 MONTHS and I have yet to receive a call from corporate office. What a joke. I will never shop at Bealls again.
Answer: I was specifically looking for Salt Life shirts, and not a lot of retailers sell them. Got a great deal during a sale.
Answer: Bealls is very similar to Kohl's or a JCPenny. Different inventory lines/brands, and I'd say Bealls is a notch down from Kohl's without being any cheaper in pricing. I highly prefer Kohl's.
Answer: I ordered a shirt online Nov 22,2018. Great Black Friday price, and it shipped and arrived on November 26,2018. No issues.
