I spent over $750 at 4 different Bealls stores in the past month. At the one in Conway, SC, I placed a ceramic apple on the counter and it rolled off and broke. The store was going to "damage it out" but I told them I'd buy it anyway (the entire back of the apple was broken). They sold it to me with 10% off. Wow! Then, I go to the Bealls in Columbia SC bc I needed to return a hamper that was missing the liner. It was the only one at the store where I bought it so I didn't know it came with one. When I returned it, I didn't have my receipt, so I lost $6 off the price I paid! I was going to buy more things at Bealls, but after what I have seen from the store and how they treat loyal customers who have spent a considerable amount of money I will no longer shop here. It's sad, I have enjoyed the store. I have spent a lot of money in this store, and they just lost a good customer over a broken apple and $6. So, sad! I would not recommend this store to anyone, now.

I bought a set of clothes for my husband 11 days before Christmas, among those clothes, a jacket. We plan to bring that set of clothes to wear on this week's trip.
I did not receive the jacket, the tracking number does not make any route or process.
I called customer service today, and Patricia informed me that she has no idea why I didn't receive it and they are going to call another company, she doesn't know when I will receive it.
Yesterday I sent a message that no one answered and evidently Bealls does not care about my loyalty as a customer, nor my membership.
My husband received his incomplete gift and the lack of follow-up from Bealls is very frustrating, they have very bad customers services, they didn't cared or apologized to me, I asked them to send me an email as a record, since they collected the money, Patricia dind't do it.
These experiences confirm to me once again why Amazon is so successful, they have an outstanding service and they take responsibility for what they sell and how they respond to a request, since we can all have errors and losses, the difference is how we respond to that situation. Bealls will not be an option the next time I shop. I highly recommend do not use them.
This is the third time I have bought an article of clothing and/or a towel and it has the worst smell to it. After coming out of the dryer and it ended up stinking my whole load of clothes. I am over bills. I will not be buying any more clothes or towels. Or anything like that from you guys do something about whatever they're putting in these garments to preserve them. Once I get them home and take the tag off and wash them a million times I can't return it. What am I to do? You figure it out?
As a long time customer, I was able to receive free shipping on any online purchases. What fabulous deals and quality of product I was able to find. On my last order, the free shipping benefit disappeared and I was going to be charged 10.99 for a 5.00 purchase. When I called, they said they changed credit card companies and were no longer allowed to offer that benefit. In hindsight, I have used an American Express card and was still able to receive the benefit of free shipping. It was my fault for not challenging it and should have called back. In the meantime, there will be no further ordering from Bealls. I have enjoyed the journey but it has come to and end along with the free shipping.
Very disappointing since they did all the changes after removing Outlet and adding Florida to their bigger stores. Use to find deals adding to the senior day not anymore. Thank god other stores as kept the senior day where we still have rebates!
OMG, disgusting company where do I begin! First, I've been a CC customer for decades. I used to live in Florida for 33 years until Hurricane Ian wiped me out and I had to leave. I was ordering online. I have never, ever been late with a payment. I tried to place an order yesterday and charge my Bealls CC, it wouldn't go through. I looked up my last statement and there was more than enough to use, but on my account website there wasn't. I spoke to a rep and got no where and then I talked to a supervisor, rude Sean (sp) who explained to me that they lowered my available credit due to my credit report. First of all why are checking my credit report I didn't ask for an increase. It was only an $80 decrease but why? So, due to this stupid kind of business practice I canceled my CC. I was a faithful, on time paying customer, not any more. I hope you're proud of yourselves. Go to hell! Also, they never informed me this was being done.
I had 4 items in my cart. I had no Christmas ornaments. I searched for a promo code that was strictly for ornaments. So that was annoying. Then here i have 64.00 in my cart. In order to get free shipping i needed to spend more money. We are in hard times. Why so greedy? This is why i have a zero balance with Bealls. Bealls has always been my favorite place to shop, but lately not so much. Everywhere i shop, i get a promo code that reduces what i spend. I'd rather purchase where i can get a better deal & Bealls no longer offers deals that are worth the effort. Retail stores are closing Everywhere you look. Wouldn't it be healthy to offer more promo codes? Offer free shipping on 50.00 rather than 100.00?
I would not be surprised if Bealls closes their doors. You need to look at the bottom line. You need us more than we need you.
The merchandise at your stores is very tacky and the clothes are very ugly. It appears that these stores are aimed at old people. Even the sales people are old. I will never shop there again. Your stores are no better than Goodwill stores!
I returned some items to a Bealls store and accidently left in the bag a item to be returned to another store but didn't realize it for a couple of days. I called the store...no help...called customer service...no help. Instead they gave me a case number with an email. I was told in the email someone would call me with an update. NO CALL. I emailed again...I received another CASE NUMBER. I called customer service again and after 1 hour and 45 minutes finally talked to someone. I was told it was being handled by corporate and to call them. I was not given a number to the corporate office in my email. I emailed again and another CASE NUMBER - 3rd case number. It has been 3 MONTHS and I have yet to receive a call from corporate office. What a joke. I will never shop at Bealls again.
My daughter worked at Bealls for 3 months. She received very little training and was pushed hard to get people to sign up for credit cards. Management would berate employees and former employees on group texts. People were fired weekly and she once worked the whole store with one other new employee. Management refused to come in. One week she was summarily fired for a policy violation without warning. Best thing that ever happened to her.
Horrible customer service. I ordered a boys' bathing suit which arrived with the security tag (dye-releasing) still affixed. I contacted the company immediately, requesting that they send a replacement. We are leaving for vacation on Friday (which is why I ordered the bathing suit to arrive on time) but their terrible customer service rep informed me that all they could do was send an envelope for the return/exchange of the suit. She insisted that they could not send a replacement via priority mail. So we now have no bathing suit for my son since they are impossible to find this time of year in NJ. Never dealt with a company so unwilling to please. This was 100% their fault. Will never order from them again.
I bought a pair of sneakers which l returned last year October. I have not received my money back in spite of several calls and emails. Each representative tells you something different. STOP BUYING FROM THEM, THERE ARE THIEVES PERIOD!
This is the official website for the Bealls retail stores in Florida. Their products and prices are real. I ordered a shirt and received it with no problems.
I did search some items in Google, and a link brought me to their item page. But then the item page said it was out of stock. So based on some other reviews, it's possible they don't have the most up-to-date inventory tracking. I know they can't link product availability to individual store inventories, unlike some other retailers.
Ultimately, they won't steal your money - it's not a bogus website. If the item ends up not being in stock, you'll get a refund or never be charged. I say, order with confidence.
Prices might be good, but you get what you pay for. Customer Service is the pits. Employees evidently can't read English or haven't passed the third grade. Morons run the company. NEVER order from these losers...
Ordered a Mrs. Potato Head & received a Mr. - while that seems trivial to be concerned about, not what I ordered. Customer Service agent told me to 'take a deep breath' after she told me she had to charge me an additional $7.78 for what I actually ordered to begin with. I asked what for and she said 'we need a paper trail'. I opted to keep the Mr. But will NEVER order anything else from here again - too many other retailers can have my business and money instead.
This is honestly the first review I have ever left for a company online in the form of a complaint. I was in a Bealls store in North Carolina when I witness two females, walk out the door with a cart, absolutely full of merchandise, along with a black Jessica Simpson suitcase, which possibly would have had items inside as well. I very quickly informed the staff as the two women were putting items in their car as fast as I possibly could. No one seemed concerned at all. When I tried to call the customer service number to report this as well I have honestly never had anyone in customer service speak as rudely as the person I spoke with. She was not interested at all in what I had to say even after I told her that it was a matter of a large theft. I am an avid bills shopper in my local store and it's several of the stores and surrounding areas. I have never had an issue. I can count on one hand. The amount of times I've ever made a customer complaint I am not a." Karen." But it is extremely discouraging to work really hard and use that hard earned money to buy yourself and your family. Nice items only to see someone else walk away with more than I could ever afford to buy in one stop without paying a dime.
I've ordered quite a few pairs of shoes and clothing items from Bealls Florida in the last two years. Their prices are very competitive which is what first attracted me to their website. They frequently have sales and offer promotional discounts. Their shipping rates are reasonable.
The one thing that I have issue with is product description. I've had to return some things that "ran large" and when I spoke to customer service they were aware of this so it would have been nice to see it in the original description and I would have ordered a smaller size to begin with and not have had to pay additional shipping for returns and reorder.
Whenever I've had to contact customer service with questions or returns they have been very knowledgeable and courteous.
I will continue to order from Bealls.
I placed a large order online and was unable to enter promo code for sale price. I called and was told I would be issued a refund. That was months ago... still no refund. Many phone calls were made and each time I was told the refund would be processed. Needless to say I am out quite a few bucks. Lesson learned. And by the way, if you order multiple items, they do not come from one place like Macy's. They come from different stores and your order comes in pieces.
Ok so prices decent, delivery decent, problem is that they state they have products for sale, and they do not. So before you realize the item you really wanted in your order is not available and you are stuck with return fee for items you just bought as you would a candy bar at a store.
Bottom Line: Go to Amazon.com and use PRIME services or Zappos. These guys have no guarantee that item they are selling is sold by THEM, they are NOT, they are sold by outside vendors. If you see it for sale, it means they may or may not have it in stock. You do not get to find out until it ships.
Thanks for reading, good luck!
I ordered from Bealls eight days ago its still not here, I live 1,400 miles away? I had to hunt for the shipping info? What good reputable comany does that? There was no information giving about shipping it just a receipt I bought it. I definitely would never ever order from them ever again and if you were wise you wouldn't either they need to clean up there act and treat the customer as one sending you all the shipping info when you purchase something or lose valuable customers. Hopefully it will arrive before the end of summer!
Answer: I was specifically looking for Salt Life shirts, and not a lot of retailers sell them. Got a great deal during a sale.
Answer: Bealls is very similar to Kohl's or a JCPenny. Different inventory lines/brands, and I'd say Bealls is a notch down from Kohl's without being any cheaper in pricing. I highly prefer Kohl's.
Answer: I ordered a shirt online Nov 22,2018. Great Black Friday price, and it shipped and arrived on November 26,2018. No issues.
