I returned some items to a Bealls store and accidently left in the bag a item to be returned to another store but didn't realize it for a couple of days. I called the store...no help...called customer service...no help. Instead they gave me a case number with an email. I was told in the email someone would call me with an update. NO CALL. I emailed again...I received another CASE NUMBER. I called customer service again and after 1 hour and 45 minutes finally talked to someone. I was told it was being handled by corporate and to call them. I was not given a number to the corporate office in my email. I emailed again and another CASE NUMBER - 3rd case number. It has been 3 MONTHS and I have yet to receive a call from corporate office. What a joke. I will never shop at Bealls again.
Had a lost package from Bealls called to report and had the nastiest customer service rep. She refused to help me.
I bought a pair of sneakers which l returned last year October. I have not received my money back in spite of several calls and emails. Each representative tells you something different. STOP BUYING FROM THEM, THERE ARE THIEVES PERIOD!
Before Burkes became Bealls the women's plus size apparel was okay. When I visited Bealls in Rocky Mount, NC on 6/14/23 I could not believe the selection of clothing that was available. The blouses especially were hideous! Every piece was a print. Not sure who the buyers were targeting when choosing the Plus size women's clothing but they made poor choices. The customers that I have encountered while shopping in Burkes/Bealls don't represent that style of dress.
The Bells Stores are pretty average with their merchandise. HOWEVER, their credit card company is awful. No matter when I sign in, (computer saves my information) the site NEVER recognizes me. When I go through the entirety of filling in all the blanks for Bealls to reset my SAVED password it gives me the opportunity to get a text or email. Clicking on both numerous times (after clicking each one once) has left my frustrated (as I never received either) to the point that I will NO LONGER use their credit card, EVER. Which leaves to to NEVER go into their store unless I am desperate for something I probably really do not need!
WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE ANY ITEMS FROM BEALLS FLORIDA. I bought this beautiful bath set as a gift from Bealls Florida for a dear friend of mine, and I was so excited about surprising her with it. Instead, the package was delayed and arrived on December 27,2022 instead of the expected arrival date of December 24,2022. Then, it was delivered to the WRONG ADDRESS. Bealls Florida did not care. They refused to issue a refund. They refused to even respond to me. Bealls Florida, consider my payment as a donation. Happy New Year.
I made a purchase at Bealls department store in july 2022 for $82.33. I paid the bill through my online bill pay with synovus bank. Synovus cut the check and mailed the payment on july 26,2022. Comenity bank claims they didn't receive the payment until August 2,2022 which resulted in a $29 late payment. I contacted comenity protesting such a large late fee and questioned whether they actually received it late. I received to satisfaction I reluctantly paid the late fee which was processed by synovus and mailed august 23rd, 2022. This time comenity claims to have received the check september 6,2022 resulting in another late fee of $29. I contacted comenity in writing and questioned why the delay in their processing the check from synovus. They responded with the attached letter on october 25,2022. In the meantime they continue to charge late fees upon late fees. See attached printout. This is exactly why the CFPB is established for. This is not a matter of a consumer refusing or being able to pay a debt. It is a theft by an institution against a consumer.
Worst experience I have ever had I destroyed card on August 15 after paying balance of $5,17 and today have received 2 calls saying I owe them late fees for August and Sept from some middle east person rude and not proper English.
I recently purchased a suede book bag purse at the store located at 2738 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa, FL *******. Less than 3 days later, the zipper broke, unable to be fixed. I was so disappointed because I loved the bag so much. I, of course, didn't save any of the tags as I had no intention of my new bag breaking. I presented to the store to exchange the bag for the same one and the Spanish woman at the front, I believe she was the manager, refused to look up my card, account, or receipt. She wouldn't give me store credit or a non defective bag. She was rude and told the woman who was helping me that she could not give me anything. I was really appalled at this type of customer service working in sales myself for over 20 years. What's the point of having a Bealls account and point system that tracks my purchases if my proof of those purchases cannot be easily accessed? I was so upset by the horrible customer service that I left both the defective bag and the replacement. I liked the bag so much I would have paid for a new one anyways if the woman wasn't so rude. Why would a customer keep the sku number and tag for a bag that was never meant to be returned? Very disappointed in the company and don't plan on returning to the store.
I ordered a pair of sandals that never arrived. When I complained they only sent me a fraction of my money back. Terrible experience. Do not recommend.
Ordered a purse and it arrived but not what I wanted. I paid half the price of what I paid for the purse to ship it back! MOST reputable companies will provide a return shipping label! So, I paid to ship it to me…. Not satisfied…. They won't provide a label to ship it back…. So, I paid more to ship it back!, do your research…. I didn't and learned the hard way!
I notice the prices going higher than department stores like Macys. There are a lot of less quality brands that we have to return due to rips.
Horrible that this company does not offer free returns, especially today when so many companies offer free shipping and returns. The cost of the return was basically the cost of the defective product. First and LAST TIME shopper!
I used to enjoy shopping bealls. But times have changed. Maybe over time it will be more like the old bealls.
I ordered from Bealls eight days ago its still not here, I live 1,400 miles away? I had to hunt for the shipping info? What good reputable comany does that? There was no information giving about shipping it just a receipt I bought it. I definitely would never ever order from them ever again and if you were wise you wouldn't either they need to clean up there act and treat the customer as one sending you all the shipping info when you purchase something or lose valuable customers. Hopefully it will arrive before the end of summer!
Just received my 2nd pair of Asics from Bealls... couldn't be more thrilled with the product and timely delivery! (Almost) makes me excited to go to work and be on my feet for a long time!
They are greedy company. I hope they go out of business. They discontinued all of their in store and online coupons and bealls bucks and blamed it Covid. It is bs. It all about profit. If they were hurting how did open up NEW chain home centrix. Which is total garbage. It is worst than bealls outlet. I cancelled their high interest credit card and I refuse to ever shop their stores ever again. I was dedicated full time Florida resident and shopper for many years. I will give my money to dillards, target and Walmart or any other store before I give them a penny of my hard earned money. They do not even have so called sales anymore STAY AWAY. They rarely run any sales. They jacked up price and put 30-40% off a $65 per of men shorts. They now give 10% off on Tuesday fabulous 50 bs. It used to 15% and more if you coast to coast member Let's put them out of business once and for all for taking all their customers for granted. GREED is ugly Coporate employee or store employees did not get a pay cut because of Covid. Of course not Instead they bite the hand that feed. Them WHAT A IDIOTIC move on their part. I drive by at least 4 or 5 of the stores on daily basis going to work and their all parking lots are empty. Hopefully the customers smarted up.
Just received my first on line order, I'm beyond pleased. Everything fits perfectly which is rare for on line purchases! The quality of the clothing is beyond expectations, I'm very pleased with my order. I purchased 8 items, 1 skirt, 3 pairs capris and 4 tops the shipping was free and my entire order only came to 135 dollars. Bealls is my new on line go to!
I received a damaged monopoly game and they expected me to pay for shipping and handling. This is not good customer service.
My daughter worked at Bealls for 3 months. She received very little training and was pushed hard to get people to sign up for credit cards. Management would berate employees and former employees on group texts. People were fired weekly and she once worked the whole store with one other new employee. Management refused to come in. One week she was summarily fired for a policy violation without warning. Best thing that ever happened to her.
Answer: I was specifically looking for Salt Life shirts, and not a lot of retailers sell them. Got a great deal during a sale.
Answer: Bealls is very similar to Kohl's or a JCPenny. Different inventory lines/brands, and I'd say Bealls is a notch down from Kohl's without being any cheaper in pricing. I highly prefer Kohl's.
Answer: I ordered a shirt online Nov 22,2018. Great Black Friday price, and it shipped and arrived on November 26,2018. No issues.
