I am an artisan and have an Etsy store and a store on Storenvy.com. I wanted to expand my sales so I created an account on Artfire.com.
After trying to setup my store for about an hour and being frustrated with the site I finally gave up. I was able to create an account, write a bio and upload a photo to use as my profile pic but wasn't able to do anything else. I read the FAQ page and tried to figure out why I am not able to list my products.
The website claims that it is free for sellers to sell their products but I don't believe this is true. I am not saying 100% that this is not so because I may have overlooked something on the site that isn't allowing me to list my items for sale. I DO know that I am pretty good at navigating around on sites like Artfire.com and as I stated, I have an Etsy.com store. Etsy is not free to use and it clearly states that when you create an account to sell.
Artfire.com appears to not be free as well and I have yet to find a "contact us" feature on the site. There is a forum and I did post my concerns there.
I don't want to give Artfire.com a negative review because I haven't been able to use it yet. I am just saying that I don't believe it is absolutely free to use.
I was impressed with what I had read about AF and thought that I would take a chance in selling my jewelry. AF stated that they would not be able to respond to any questions UNTIL i was a paying seller. Sounded fair enough - MY plan was $12.95 mo. T took 3 months to set up my shop ( worked 40 hrs a week) In any event, around month 3 I was stuck so decided to send an email -- I receievd an immediate reply advising that t a customer service rep would get back to me w/in 48 hrs. Sounded reasonable to me. Well guess what? NEVER heard one word back from them. By this time I had invested SO much time and money - I will spare you the detail. I stayed w/ them 7 months -never made one sale - never receievd one comment - Ironically I would easily sell my pieces right off of my body SIMPLE!---- It would be easy for me to blame AF but I have to say I only have myself to blame - Should have EXITED 48 hrs after no reply from customer service. They promised to reply and they did not. Shame on you AF for not having the decency to honor your word to your sellers. A few other red flags but I think its best that I keep them private. Thanks ARTFIRE for a NIGHTMARE experience.
We ordered an iPod Nano, only to reread and find out that it is only a "Nano Style" cheep knock off. Don't be tricked!
Artfire.com rips off sellers. Even after you cancel the service they continue to charge you. I cancelled my account within a. Month trying it.
ArtFire is full of scams. I learned the hard way. I ordered a ryobi lawnmower and nail gun. What I received was a small package with 10 disposable face masks in an opened package. If you're looking at this site, close your browser and don't ever come back. Trust me, if it looks too good to be true it is because it is! Thankfully I made my purchase through PayPal so I was able to get fully refunded. Oh and the "store" I purchased from disappeared within 2 days after I placed my order. I strongly advise NOT to take any chances. Do not purchase from this site! I apologize to any legitimate venders. You may want to move your business to a new site because these scammers are going to shut this site down eventually.
I bought some Miami Dolphins Jordan 13s from Art fire After seeing the reviews on here i got a little nervous, but they stayed in contact with me and in 4 weeks I had my shoes
Liars! I bought my shirt and it was never delivered. And still blamed DHL. Don't buy t-shirts with these people
I ordered something feb 11. Havent gotten it and no response with multiple emails sent. My money was taken however. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. NO REPLIES. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I purchased a portable grill for $69.99 from one of their vendors/"shops" aka: theives.
My grill never arrived, Instead I got a
10-pack of Chinese face masks!
I was so happy when my tracking number said that my product was sitting on my front porch, only to find a plastic, flat, black envelope... clearly that was not my barbecue grill BUT the tracking number matched. I contacted Artfire via email and got a canned response with absolutely no help from them. After a fight with PayPal I finally got my money back but even that was a struggle.
Artfire's best response was to contact the shop, DUH! That's where I tried first only to find out that the email address was no longer valid (see pics).
What's strange is that when I first made the purchase my confirmation came back with a Chinese logo also noted in my photographs below; all other emails I recieved during the weeks I waited were from "Rahshop". All I can say is there's a lot of scams out there (foreign scams seem to be on the rise) and if companies like Artfire aren't going to "back" their vendors sales and allow customers to be scammed then I'm going to be smart and never order through them again because clearly they don't care about the customers.
As much as I want to support small business I'm afraid I need to Protect myself from being scammed in the future and I will shop at Amazon, locally, eBay and through the large well known companies direct.
Buyer beware.
Maggie did an amazing job. Was very helpful and put up with my craziness. We love the shirts and can't wait for the kids to wear them.
I purchased a camera lens from this idiot and they haven't sent me anything no response, nothing. They stole my money. Ill never use this site again
Bought and item but never received the product. I had to call my credit card company to get my money back. Don't use it. It's a scam.
They charged my paypal account and never shipped the item and contacting them didn't get any response, stay away

Artfire.com is a website designed for scammers to phish and steal your information. This site should be closed down immediately and the owners charged with fraud or for associating with sellers commiting fraud/scams.
This website needs to be closed down for the financial safety of the people. There's countless amounts of money being stolen from people through this website. I'm hoping a hacker will read this and go into action to close them down or cause them the financial ruin they deserve. I have contacted support and still haven't received a response. The merchant clearly lied about refunding me and I never received it. I'm going to link the emails from the seller so you can see all they had to say. My payment wasn't even sent to the email connected to the website. As far as I'm concerned this is a problem for not only the merchants that are scamming, but the owners of the website. The owners of this site are adding onto the problem. Many people are getting scammed here and nothing is happening. The site is still up and sellers are still scamming. The owners of this site should have a lawsuit filed against them for conspiracy to scam the people. Major problem here that hasn't gotten anywhere. Even though there's 260 reviews and only 1 star.
Purchased a $160.00 lego set from rtshop and only received a package of Japanese surgical masks... buyers STAY AWAY
Answer: Mine took a couple of weeks to ship, it was faulty so had to return it. I never saw my money again, it is pretty much your word against the sellers and ArtFire pretty much just sits back and says they have nothing to do with it. Don't buy from them, it's not worth the aggravation.
Answer: Make a claim on BBB or email artfire.com directly
Answer: I maded an order the order number is 2567947 and I have not receive it
