Went through at least three tries to get my lenses made correctly but I'm now living with lenses that aren't correct. The doctor is no longer there and I don't know why, but if he left stuff off people's prescriptions or didn't prescribe correctly I can see why as I'm living with lenses that are not correct until I find another doctor.
America's Worst general manager. My husband and I had eye exams and order 5 pairs of glasses. Our combined co-pays were over $800. He received a text that his glasses were ready on Tuesday and we went to pick them up last night (Friday). The general manager rudely told my husband he already picked them up last Friday (before he even received the text) and told me my order had been canceled. She is rude, prejudice, incompetent, and disrespectful. She is on a power trip and has a ghetto-mentality and demeanor. We had everything refunded and will never return. I would definitely recommend going ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE.
Went in for a quick adjustment on my glasses, and the lady that created me at the front desk was polite and did the adjustment and I was in and out and under two minutes. Customer service
I bought two pair of glasses at the same time. One pair had a lens fall out in the store as they fitted them to me. They fixed the lens and I was on my way. It was over a year when the first pair were showing signs of wear and I pulled out my second pair. The pair that had the lens fall out and they fixed. Had the same lens fell out again as I tried to wear them. I took them back and a man tried to fix them but didn't have the equipment to finish the repair. He told me to take them home and finish the job myself. I did what I could and I started wearing them The very first day I bumped the glasses on my face and the lens fell out. I took them back to the store where I bought them and they told me they were fine and didn't need repair. I called the head office and they told me that because I had them over a year they would not fix them, even though They were bad from the day I paid for them. I can't think of any eyeglass company that ever refused to fix a problem with their product.
I walked in with broken glasses and no appointment.
I walked out with glasses that were repaired, adjusted perfectly and clean.
Technician was good at her job and friendly.
All at no additional charge since I purchased glasses at a different store.

Well i made an appointment two different times due to americas best calling me both times the day before i was to go in saying the doctor at the last moment won't be in first time it was said they won't be there for 2 wks now this time 2/14/23 just won't be in well i think they are full of...t this mays landing store is the worst it seems to me that in order to go here you need to have top rate insurance i will never try to make appointment here again
I want to say that this was my first time at America's Best, I would have to say that I was very impressed with the service and attention I received at this establishment. I was very impressed and happy with knowing and feeling like I made the best choice. This comes from my experience with D. Griffith, O.D. To all the staff that attended me. I was also very impressed with the attention and knowledge given to me by associate Ellen, she helped me with my choices and was very informative. Ellen was also friendly and made me feel comfortable. This location made me feel right at home and that is important.

Supervisor Justin dresses inappropriately; is very argumentative; not pleasant to be around at all. I was working with one of the female floor assistance and she was very pleasant and kind; then Justin walked over to us in his shorts, shoulder cross-over bag on his body, and a t-shirt and he looked at my prescription which I had in my hand and said to me that he doesn't know if the prescription is for computer long-distance or not. NO ONE ASKED HIM so I don't know why he was even talking to me. As I walked away because Justin kept confusing me about what can be done, I told him I am now frustrated because I was working with the female customer service and he butted in for now reason. When I asked him to step aside and let me work with the young lady he argued some more. It was a back and forth argument with Justin, which I assume he has power struggle issues. I got nothing done there and left to find another place where customers are valued - and not attacked.
When I went to pick up my glasses from America's Best the customer service person handed me my glasses and walked away. Noone asked if they fit properly or if I could see. I got home put them on and could not read the computer or a book. I went back they replaced them and guess what I still can't use them. I took the pair and left and went to another Doctor who said the script was incorrect. I purchased glasses with that facility and I leave the ones from America's Best in the car as they are as good as the dollar store glasses. And today after 6 months they broke. America's best should be America's worse. I wouldn't advise anyone to go there.
I went to America's Best Eyeglasses and Contacts located at Jefferson Commons at ******* Jefferson Avenue, Suite 249, Newport News, VA ******* for the advertised 'Get 2 pairs of glasses priced at $59.95 with single-vision, uncoated plastic lenses and get a free eye exam! Browse glasses online, and visit an America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses near you to seal the deal!" I left having to pay $50 with no glasses. They stated the special did not include presecription lens, just the frames. This is a blantant bait and switch. Do not go there, it's a scam.
I had the best customer service ever from Mrs Tracee Price. Was having some difficulties with my glasses where I had purchased my glasses before the pandemic and I thought the company would not fix and replace them but Mrs Price solved the probable so quickly I could not tell it had been a problem. Thank you so much for your kindness and thoughtfulness. Every time I I come in to your store you nothing but good customer service.
My review is for the Sheridan Dr. location! Short and Sweet I recommend them to anyone, The Staff was excellent very pleasant and helpful. My overall experience was great, this location is very clean and neat following all covd 19 guidelines.

I made my appointment for glasses n contact exam and. When I went in I was asked if I was doing the $69.99 deal I said yes. No mention of additional charges. After my exam I was told I could not get the deal because I got the contact fitting exam. My exam only was now $89 with no glasses. If I wanted glasses they would be $59.99 for cheapest ones each. So my $69.99 deal I came in on would now be $208.98! I even offered to pay the difference of contact exam and was told I still couldn't get 2 for 1 deal on glasses. Complete rip off!
I made an appointment for an eye exam to get a dmv form filled out to get a drivers license. I told them the purpose for my appointment when I made the appointment. The employee that saw me said the optometrist would not fill out the form because the date on the form was old. The importance of the form is the date of the exam not the date I received the form from the dmv. Such ignorance in the workplace is unacceptable.

They are crook. They just taking your money. They are an honest. Doctors are unfriendly even the front desk, woman, unfriendly and rude. Please never go to this place never ever.
I would highly recommend NOT to go to Americas Best because the doctor was 35 minutes late and they have a policy that you have to "trial" contacts before ordering them. I have had the same contacts for 25 years and do not need to trial them. They did not have any contacts on hand and had to order them. I was told I have to wait 10 days before they come in! I needed them immediately but they refused to help me. They promised the doctor would call in a day or two with a solution and he didn't! I called them and they said the doctor would be gone for two more days and whoever told me he would call was wrong! The manager couldn't do anything and was just helpless. The whole place is so unorganized and the whole experience was awful! If you need contacts it will be a very long time before you get them. Definitely don't go here if you need them in a hurry.
My mother had a stroke 6 months ago and can barely walk. We came to Americas Best in Steelyard for glasses. The whole staff couldn't have been nicer to my mother sister and I. Robert the manager helped with the glasses. He had my mother sit at a desk while him and I brought her frames to look at. This took a long time. Robert made this experience pleasant. My sister and I were touched that someone would show our mother such kindness and compassion. When the glasses came in I picked them up. My mother could not enter the store as she was having a bad day. Robert remembered us. He took the glasses out to my mother and fitted them to her in my car. Again, I was almost crying as this person was so kind to her. Thanks for this experience. We will be at Americas Best for life. Thank you, Robert.

Has the worst customer service ever! I walked in and there was the least 10 people in blue jackets just looking clueless and pretended as if I wasn't there. When I spoke up to ask for help to women one named michelle and the other Cymone rudely addressed me and said. We are busy and you just have to wait! After I spent $1000. 00 for glasses which 2 pair was defective/broke in less than a week! You want my money but you can't give me respectful service! Never again America's Best my radio show and social needs to know about when spending your hard earned money you deserve to be treated well Especially when receiving released defective glasses. Training is needed for these you adults when there are too many options to buy glasses.
Over 7weeks they changed on me 3 different eye drops my eye got worst... Now i tried ask for help again they just want set appoitment and another $30... Every visit cost but not sure doctirs know what is going on like a testing rabbit... Horrible service never again
Made appts for husband and myself. Dr was 15 min late and rushed. I told him I had prisms and he said "oh" then checked for that. I said I was having trouble with up close reading and he said my prism changed a bit. Fastest eye exam I ever had. When I went to get them, no prism in them. I was told Dr would be in to fix them in two days. I asked to be called, no call. I wanted to be sure the right script was put in them. When I called the receptionist was very snarky and rude. Would not listen to my needs. Now I have to go back again to get eyes rechecked because Dr messed up. I pay for what I need and it's upsetting when it isn't correct from a specialist and then get treated badly by other employees.

Answer: From my experience, calling America's Best customer service is an exercise in wasting time. The telephone supervisor I spoke with displayed no interest in the mistreatment at the store, the store's loss of eye exam/purchase records, or the manager's apparent hostility towards the disabled. I was actually informed all America's Best stores have a partially hidden ("not-prominently displayed") sign stating the store can refuse service to anyone. This should be investigated.

Answer: Potential customers have the option of going online and going through the wide variety of frames (divided into men, women, and kids and price-point categories). Then, go to the store, hand your list to your consultant, and try on the frames. There are other on-line sellers that glasses by mail. I was turned off at the complicated criteria for measuring one's face for a proper fit. I prefer to get fitted on-site, not online.
Answer: I can't answer for any store but the one I visited. My eye exam there was conducted on Saturday morning. I do believe all stores do offer Saturday appointments, but best check by calling first.
