I purchased several things on Aliexpress and was generally happy with the products received. They have quite a wide range pf products and many of them cannot be found elsewhere. Their price is sometimes 5x cheaper than similar vendors. So, I thought it was a great solution for my creative projects. Until one day I saw a delivery notification in my email, yet I did not receive the product. The store is called Cardudu.I am used to Amazon's service, so I figured I could solve that easily. I used their help system, I found in the choices presented exactly my situation, A note saying package was delivered yet I did not get it. I thought, wow, it sounds like I will solve that. So I followed with that. Then the only option presented is to ask for a refund. I actually was more looking at finding how to solve the issue since I needed the product. Then I got a message stating that I had 3 days to send proof of non-delivery. This was on a Friday! So, I already lost 2 days with the weekend. I called my post office, because one of the main problems is that the Chinese post tracking number is very often not known by our post office, so you are totally blind. How can I show it is not received if there is not recognizable tracking number? I chatted with their support many times, these people really want to help you, but they have their hands tied and have no real power. Aliexpress has a strange help system that helps them, not you. One support person suggested I contact Singpost (the Chinese postal service). They asked for the vendor's address for the opening of the ticket. Impossible to get that, the vendor never helped. The only thing the vendor did was send me a screenshot of the note that says the package was delivered. I was telling him I was not even asking for a refund, just some help in getting the package found. He did not care one bit. Aliexpress cannot give you the address and I can understand that. But they seemed to be totally unable to put any pressure on their vendors. So I learned that their buyer protection is totally untrue. I usually like to communicate with higher executives in these types of matters. Ho my god, they are totally invisible, I used LinkedIn and I search for them, I sent messages to all emails I could find. I never got any replies. It is quite something, really a different way of doing business that I am used to. So, I did not completely choose the door to using Aliexpress, but I only buy in small quantities, I never go beyond 100$ because of that, I know that is something goes wrong with shipping, it is a lost cause.

I ordered a wig at the beginning of September and the delivery date was supposed to be a week before my convention. The wig did not only arrive a week LATE, but the tracking information was never updated and I got no kind of notification that it would arrive so late. I actually just looked at my order to leave feedback (no surprise, I can't do it. Seller won't let me) and it still says 'Awaiting delivery' even though I've had the item for a month. I no longer need the item and the package is still unopened, as it came in late and my convention expired. I tried opening a dispute to request a return and refund but the cheapskate seller waited until the very last day to answer and refuse the request. Every time I open ANOTHER dispute, it gets shot down only to have the 'You have received your goods' reply thrown in my face as if I am blind and don't know that already. I tried talking on livechat with a representative- but now I am pretty sure they just put on airs to make it seem like they are taking care of the problem, but are probably just laughing at you behind a screen and do nothing. Just as everyone else has said, their buyer protection policy is just a fake write-up to make it seem like a more legitimate business and to make you feel comfortable shopping with them just so you can have your money stolen... and I learned this the hard way. I am pretty sure any positive reviews are either paid for or written by a company employee- for every one 'good' review there seem to be a hundred bad ones surrounding it- so that seems skeptical as well. Just look up any Aliexpress review site... every one of them has more bad reviews than acceptable. I am usually a very cautious buyer and do my research before shopping- the only reason I ended up here is this is the only place that carried my wig for a reasonable price and with free shipping (the seller also had a good rating), so I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried it anyway. I will not shop here again and I will leave a negative review everywhere I can to show people this site is absolute garbage with no credibility whatsoever. If you don't listen to any other review or opinion about this site or other affiliated companies, listen to mine and take your business elsewhere. Far Far elsewhere.
As much as so many are criticising the site, I would like to point out the following: Ebay has some ridiculous and scandaleous rules and I almost lost $31 there because of their stupid decision and a crook seller who only refunded me after I threatened him about complaining to the ministry of commerce of his country. I bought more than 200 items on aliexpress and only 2 never came. On ebay, I got scammed 9 times on about 50 items. The thing is, you must be VERY careful when checking the comments, description, ratings, etc... I would at times buy an item with a rating of 3.0 instead of buying the same from another seller with a rating of 5.0. The reason is I check the negative comments AND the positive ones. I try to see if comments that took down the rating are justified. Sometimes, they are not. Also, never buy from a seller with 0% rating. This is the sign of a scammer. About shipping, its mostly office of exchange and custom office that cause the big delay. Its sound to say that Aliexpress can't be responsible for the laziness of the guys from the above offices. I've been running an online shop using Aliexpress and I have no complaints to date because I CHOOSE carefully from WHICH seller I buy and WHAT I buy. A few tips for you:
1. Check comments on an item for different sellers. If there is a drawback with it, several sellers will have similar negative comments about it.
2. Check the item rating AND the number of purchases AND the number of comments about it. Now decide which seems better: An item rated 5.0, ordered 30 times with 3 comments (when commenting, the customer has to rate the item. So, number of comments sort of define rating.) or an item rated 4.6, ordered 5000+ times with 3000+ comments? If you can deduce what you should choose, you can minimise the risk of a nasty surprise.
3. Order is taking ages to come? Check the delivery details. If its left China, a call to your local post office should make it come to you quickly (from personal experience). Also, November and December are peak periods. Whether I ordered from ebay, bookdepository, amazon or aliexpress, everything took a lot more time than usual to reach me. Wanna buy something for christmas? Order it in September or the first week of October. After that? Well... you may have it in time for valentine's day...
I still price check for items I find on AliExpress on eBay but 90% of new items are and have been bought from Aliexpress for the last 3+ years.

Their '' buyer protection '' system is a joke.
If the seller sends you a diffrent item, not the amount you ordered or an empty package then you get only dissatisfying solutions like the following:
Option 1:25% - 60% refund or sending the items back
Option 2: no refund or full refund / refund based on missing goods if you get official ( damage) reports from the post office ( which is almost impossible to get)
They always favor their ( scamming) sellers, if the seller says that the item you received isn't theirs then aliexpress will always give you option 2 which gives me a feeling that they prefer their sellers far more over their customers.
If you receive a empty package or not the amount you ordered and the seller doesn't agree with your complaint then they just have to make a weigh video about the product and aliexpress will favor them even if you can show them that the package you received weights excactly as much as the package information says!
After I opened about 10 disputes over a total of 150 orders they also terminated my account and then you can't open anymore disputes so you lose your money 100%...
There are also many many others which got their accounts terminated as well for '' violating the buyer protection program '' even tho their disputes where valid.
Aliexpress will just ban you and take all the money from the remaining not delivered / not as described orders if you open to much disputes it seems, even if your disputes are valid!
That all being said: don't think you have actually a good buyer protection at this site.
- They prefer their ( scamming) sellers whenever is possible
- They ban your account whenever they want so you lose all your money from not received or not as decribed items
- There customer support are robots or something
TL; DR
If you want to shop chinese items, DON'T buy it from aliexpress; NEVER
They can steal all your money and will do that whenever they feel like they want to.
There are a lot better chinese online webshops which have a decent buyer protection program and often support PayPal.
On June 7,2022 I ordered a blue Color Backlight LED Display MP3 Player Flash Support SD/TF Card 32G With FM Radio Digital MP3 Music Player Fashion from AliExpress and it was to come to me from Global Telephone Supplies Store, order number**. When I checked the tracking site it indicated "Your item was delivered in or at the mailbox at 11:32 am on June 16,2022 in INDIANA, PA *******." I never received the product. I do not live in Pennsylvania. My Address is ** Florida *******, not somewhere in Pennsylvania. I have received an email stating that the product was returned to your company, which is it, was it delivered or returned to you? I do not know if I am going to receive the product I ordered. The Tracking number:**. I would like the product I ordered resent to my correct address ASAP. I waited long enough for it to be delivered. The telephone number they gave me to call *******580 does not work. If this order is not corrected to my satisfaction I will be telling friends and colleagues NEVER to purchase anything from AliExpress. I cannot accept your decision. You lied to me stating that if I ended the dispute, I would get a refund for a product I did not receive. If this is not a scam, I do not know what is. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau here in the United States. I have gone on the internet and published my experience about your company, and I have been telling all that would listen not do any business with your company. You will probably scam others but when word gets around it spreads like a wildfire, and you will lose in the end. It may take some time, but it will happen.

That's right that you can buy from aliexpress and receive your goods, i have already made some purchases from it.
But latelly, i bought something from it with my cousin account, and they have cancelled the payment, but they took the money from me.
In there laws they say that you will get a refund, but it has been 3 months now, and i didn't get a refund from Aliexpress, they told me that they are going to process the refund in 7-30 days, but they exceeded that delay 3 times more, and the bad news is that i still didn't get my money back.
This is enought for me, i'm not going to buy from them anymore, they are liers and thieves.
And the support team is poor, when i send complaints, they take soo much time to respond, and they always repeat the same thing, you sens that it is automated not having someone speciffically responding to you, and usually they don't fix your problems.
Now i don't know what to do to get my money back, cos literrally i have tried everything i can, i sent complaints, sent many messages to their team, posted the problem, and no one would solve the problem for you.
I mean if you are going to buy from a website that is not secure and does not have a refund system to it. You are risking your money.
