On 9 Sept 2021 I placed multiple small orders to different sellers. Without ever being asked or even informed, most of them were combined by Aliexpress into a single package. They call this an "upgrade" aka Combined Delivery and they give it a NEW tracking number. They got my address wrong so this Combined package never even left the Sorting Centre of my country's Postal Service but was directly returned to them due to "insufficient address". That was the beginning of the nightmare for me and it can happen to you.
A) I contacted all sellers whose products were included in that package.
- One never answered,
-two told me via an automated message to call a company in Argentina (MailAmericas)
- two offered sollutions like "order something else and we will send you the lost item with the new order"
-the rest told me to open a dispute which I did for all of them.
B) Aliexpress refunded ONE of them immediately but kept rejecting the other refunds saying that the packages were waiting to be picked up. Conveniently for them, they use the ORIGINAL tracking numbers BEFORE the Combined Delivery which, of course, are non existent.
After submitting and re-submitting "evidence" for 2 months, I managed to get refunds for some of the orders. HOWEVER, the sums refunded were MUCH lower than what I had originally paid.
Also, there is no indication in my bank statement which refund pertains to which order so I can only guess.
Today 13 November, I am still uploading evidence to get a refund from a seller. BEWARE! As soon as I rejected their offer for "no refund", an automated email arrived with the same offer. Do NOT make the mistake not to answer by rejecting their offer anew because they will use it against you.
I have uploaded photos where you can see today's emails, proof from the Cainiao Tracking service that the Tracking number they give in the email has been changed (so it does not exist) and proof from the Hellenic Post Tracking service which shows the package with the CORRECT tracking number on its way back to China.
I have ordered from Aliexpress two cellphones and two tempered glass films (Order **************) on 08.02.2016. Estimated delivery was 12-30 days, so I thought that I can live with it. 45 days later I asked again what is wrong with my order and they told me my package were at the customs waiting for me. In the tracking tool I could see that the package was in customs waiting for me to clear it. I called the customs and they told me that they don't have my parcel. If they had it, they would either clear it automatically and issue a clearance fee for me to pay or they would send me a notification. Nothing of these happened. I told that to Aliexpress and they told me to be patient. Aliexpress supposedly offers a 60 day purchase protection. This is why I started a dispute few days before this expired. A week later they told me, that I should contact customs because they have my package (according to their tracking tool). I told them that the buyer doesn't do that in Germany but still I contacted again the customs and got the same answer again. At the same time I contacted DHL and I started a tracing process for these packages. I informed Aliexpress. Another week went by and they only answered that I should pick up my package from the customs and that there are several reasons that it can be detained and that it is my DUTY to clear it. At the same time I received the answer by DHL that they could not find the package and that the only person to make order an OFFICIAL TRACING is the seller. I called customs (another department) and DHL once more. Customs gave me the same answer as before. A kind employee of DHL also told me that the package travelled from Sweden (never knew it would go through Sweden) to Germany and the last place where it seems to have been was the customs of Kiel. But the only counterpart that could really order an official search is the seller. I waited another week until I got an answer by Ali. They told me that I should submit a written proof that the customs don't have the parcel. I actually called the customs once more. They told me that they only issue notices for parcels that exist and that they have. And if they had received my parcel they would have either clear it ans issue a fee or send me such a detention notification. I wrote that to Aliexpress once more. Their answer after a long time again was, that they would release the money to the seller if I didn't pickup the parcel or send them written proof. So they did. I have appealed to it today.
Apart from the 400 euros I lost, I have spent an enormous amount of time to deal with all this bureaucracy they put me through. Think about it before you buy.

I bought a down jacket from Skinville on ali express website.
The jacket was sized significantly smaller then listed. I contacted Aliexpress customer service to ask if i could request a free return shipping in my case and I was advised to call the seller.
I send a message to the seller and got a response to initiate a dispute to ask for a free shipping. I took a picture showing the actual measurements of the jacket and asked if I could get a free return shipping. There was no response from the seller and no address to where return the jacket. I contacted the customer service and they told me the would send a message to the seller. Nothing happened. By that time the period for the dispute expired. Once that happened the seller replied to me that the dispute has been close, and that i cannot return the jacket any longer - fee or no fee.
I have asked customer service for assistance again, pointing that the dispute cannot be loved if the seller never replies. They promised to help me by contacting the seller
By this time I have talked to 5 customer service representatives. I have talked to Rhej, Selena, Zarah and Sia among others. The customer service is very pleasant, the all ask to be rated highly for their service, but what they do is just completely useless. They have no records of my previous conversations, they tell me they will help me and then either nothing happens or the seller sends me a message saying there is nothing they can do for me. It has been a total waist of my time. And I am left with a jacket that is too small for me to where.
I do not recommend ali express if there is anything you need to resolve and because if this experience I would be too nervous to buy anything again that I may need to return.
In other words, there is really no buyer protection to step in if you have a dispute with the seller.

Generally you need ALIEXPRESS when something goes WRONG!. If the Supplier is GOOD and the goods are corresponding to the description then you are HAPPY and you do not need any ASSISTANCE of ALIEXPRESS.
But you are expecting HELP and PROTECTION from ALIEXPRESS when your Supplier refuses cooperate with you. Unfortunately that happens more often then it must be if the Suppliers would be under REAL CONTROL of ALIEXRESS but that is not the case.
As I used to do lots of buying at ALIEXPRES.COM so soon or later I‘ve came across of BAD SUPPLIERs and in those situations I must seek promised POTECTION from ALIEXPRESS. BUT NO HELP at all! No one at ALIEXPRESS responds my emails with the evidences attached to support my REFUND CLAIMS. In obvious cases I can get the refund by ALIEXPRESS but when you require more attention to your claim and to your evidences your mails are just ignored!
I would gladly change my opinion to positive one PROVIDING that ALIEXPRESS changes its attitude towards dispute situation and responds to buyers' emails.
