The prices are so alluring with this online shopping centre and really there is an avalanche of products to be found here. BUT---while some items are delivered quickly and are as advertised, many take more than 3 months to arrive from China and are much flimsier to the touch than they appear online. Some sellers will extend your Buyer's Protection repeatedly to cover the shipping delay, but others will close and "finish" your transaction before your order has arrived, and others will not even agree to extend it at all, saying the item "is in your country, my friend, please be patient". Global Tracking is useless once the items are in your country; the tracking code is relevant only while the order is in China, or is in transit to Canada. The online chat customer service offered by Aliexpress appears to be a computer. Only file questions are allowed and the answers do not reflect your actual typed question. I have opened and successfully received a refund (adjudicated by AliExpress) in one dispute. I only disputed the fact the seller closed the transaction prior to delivery and did not even respond to my last request for an extension of their buyer's protection. Of course, the item in question arrived after the refund was filed (some 4 months after placing the order) and now I can't get an answer about how to pay for the item again. If you have months to spare waiting for your order and you don't mind that your Buyer's Protection may run out weeks before your item is delivered, AND you're ok with cumbersome and incomplete customer service communication then you may be happy with this online shopping experience.
I used AliExpress search box Pink European Seat cushion/Chair covers set. There was not a match, but on the side panel there was several items so I click each one for what I was looking for there was one with dining table/chairs decorated with pink seat cushion, chair covers and tablecloth. I click the picture paid for it. I was sent a tablecloth I went online wanted answers no one responded, Eva, bad customer service. I contact the seller wanting to know what happen to my order, then the picture with the pink pop up with a arrow pointing but no response, so I contacted the seller again Cause I did not understand why I didn't get my items, The address on the package is a Jamaica New York address So I let the seller know I wanted to compromise but I got no response on that, I message the seller asking do I send the tablecloth to the Jamaica, New York address to get my items Then I got a written response from the seller with an address in China, I never agreed to sending anything to China, I tried AliExpress everyday since that tablecloth arrived in a torn package, filled out the form several times for a refund click submit nothing happens. While I'm getting the runaround on the side it says you have 2 days your order will be close, I'm block from submitting my form for a refund. No customer should go through this, I have one more day before my order is close, Hope a miracle happens, Right now I'm feeling stressed.

For all those people bashing Aliexpress, all I can say is that you are not careful while buying. I have been using the website for 2 whole years now and have hardly had to cancel my payment. Please follow these simple steps to always be in a good position to buy what you want:
1) Always contact the seller before buying an item. Wait for their response, and see how good their reply is. Dont buy from people not responding, simple.
2) Always check store credibility, especially checking user feedbacks on their products to gauge whether the store is good or not.
3) Remember: CHINA POST IS EITHER FREE OR HAS A SMALL CHARGE AND YES, SHIPMENTS ARE SOMETIMES DELAYED BY MORE THAN 2 MONTHS, AND EVEN GET LOST. For confirmed delivery, order via DHL or EMS. In my case, whenever a shipment was lost, i opened a dispute and my money was returned within 2 weeks.
4) If you are seeing something dirt cheap, do consider that it is a copy of the original. It WILL WORK, I am not implying that it is a fake, but it still would be a copy. Alot of items are worth it even if they are copies of the originals.
Alixpressis a scam
Alixpress is a scam. I bought something and i was suppossed to rexeive my package on september 29. Today is november 21 and i can not get my money back. And they do not give you a good answer. The saller gave me a DHL tracking number that only the label was created DHL never receive the package. Definetly Alixpress is a Scam. Not recomended

I do not recommend purchasing from Aliexpress.:
1. I have ordered clothing items that were so cheaply made, I could not wear them. Here is what you have to go through when you have been sent poor quality items: You have to open a dispute; it is up to you to now take a picture, send in a complaint. It is a complete hassle and not worth it as you can be sure, as the experience of purchasing from Aliexpress has taught me, most of the items you order are thin material and not as the picture shows on the model.
2. Recently, Aliexpress has changed the way it confirms whether items have been delivered. Prior to the recent change, when an item 'purchase protection' ran out, Aliexpress would send notification. Generally you would have 2 weeks to file a dispute. NOW, they alert you 'Times Up' and in my case, told me it was up to me to go to the Post Office to find out where your Order is. That's brazen
Here is the Aliexpress' current idea of Customer Service: 'Please pay more attention to the tracking information. If the package arrive at the delivery office, please contact post office to pick up in time. Buyer should be responsible for any consequences of failure to collect items in time.' This is copy/pasted directly from the last dispute I opened because and AGAIN items did not arrive, 6 in total.
3. The length of time Aliexpress allows for delivery of items has changed from 6 weeks to 3 MONTHS. How ridiculous is that? And according to Aliexpress, after 3 months of failure to delivery the order, it is the International Customers issue, not theirs.
My opinion and best advise: Don't buy from this company. They simply do not deserve the trust of International Customers, their money or their orders for their crappy products. I now order from Amazon. Amazon takes customer service very seriously, they do not tolerate merchants who either do not deliver or fail to deliver in an appropriate. I have had two experiences where an International order did not show up, notified Amazon, refund provided.
The customer support is really bad. Good luck if you have any issues with a seller or if you haven't received your product.

Answer: I purchased 3 pair of van's brand shoes via different companies on aliexppress and all were true to size. The off brands are not, so you need larger than you wear. But, ask and ali will usually provide a size comparison chart for you to use.
