I formerly did a lot of dealing with Aliexpress but then I had three things go wrong in a row. The first was a shipment that simply got lost. It took TWO MONTHS for me to get a refund on this. The seller promised to send me a new item and then reneged on this. Radio silence from him and then after I opened a dispute and Aliexpress found in my favour for a refund - I got a million emails from him, convinced that I would still get the package, and if I did, could I pay for the item! The second item was something quite expensive which I ordered - they put a very insufficient address on it (my name, flat 4, wellington, NZ: FFS!) and unsurprisingly the item was returned to the seller about 3 weeks after they sent it. The issue here was I only found this out after doing my own parcel tracking, they never told me it had been returned to them. Again - I have had to open a dispute, which is taking sheer weeks to resolve - the parcel was returned to them one month ago. The last item was from a nicer seller - again - the address was insufficient - the first parcel was returned to the seller - and weeks later - he sent me another one, but that one is now lost and I can only assume that the address is again insufficient.

So the regular problems I have with this site are: the item descriptions are very "asian" and almost never have essential descriptions like "how big is the item?" what are the measurements? I buy a lot of technical electrical parts and these measurements are crucial to know.

The second issue is the language barrier has caused far too many problems - the slow shipping is another factor. The language problem means that half the time, the shippers do not understand, or are too lazy to put down down your correct address. When an item takes 3-4 weeks to get to you, and another 2-3 weeks to get returned to china - this is a HUGE problem.

After I get these issues with current shipments resolved with Aliexpress, I will never use them again - these issues are simply too stressful. Chances are that similar sellers (with a better grasp of english) are selling the same parts on ebay anyway - and there you have better protection with paypal. Not recommended if you like actually receiving your items.

I ordered 10 hangers from this site and only got 4. Ali Express is ignoring my messages about the problem. Buy from this site at your own risk.

I have purchased goods (not a little or some but many) from the website since almost 5 years ago. It's had come across to my attention when I see there people talks regards to the website. I agree to say that they put the picture of good things but sends waste. Counterfeit, fraud, scam, not a low quality but totally not a quality product. Sometimes sending out to you a piece of scrap metal from their backyard. To get a real good product is rare. Perhaps you are the one who really really. A lucky few... Say... If you buying 10 items (in a total accumulation summary), 2 of which can be expected, while another 8 is completely rubbish. There are many scammers are there-in while Aliexpress.com can do nothing about it. Still you loss, not them. If you are not experienced enough in dealing that. You will easily end up. When you realize that you have been cheated!. Some might say refute. Claiming back and so on. But no matter what it is. The fact is you will loss in the end. It's time or money, or both. It's always related to 'trust and reputation', within you and your client. There are 1000 way to regain a loss money but much less in getting back your clients trust. It was so called your business reputation. In case there has any need, and the only thing you are looking for is there... first thing you must learn is. Learn to distinguish the difference between genuine seller and real scammer. I myself have loss (not less) of money just before I get to this point. Now I'm more cautious. But my heart says likely more to shop on eBay, a bit expensive but it worth to your money,. With more secure and safe so you do not loss in the end instead of Aliexpress that vulnerable to phishing scams.
