Aliexpress states clearly in their buyers protection policy that if you receive the wrong item you will receive a full refund.
I am now afraid to ever buy anything again from aliexpress. And strongly advise everyone else not to expect to actually receive what is advertised.

I filled a dispute, I sent an explanation for my dispute stating what I ordered and what I received weren't correct and that the seller's photo is not correct for what they sent me. I was offerred 2 options.
1) a 60% refund meaning I'll have to eat the 40% mistake.
2) pay to ship the item back to china and get a "full refund"
This is NOT as they detail in their buyers protection, why is it the buyer's fault the seller knowingly tried to commit fraud yet the buyer has to accept it?
I will post about this on every review site, blog, forum and I have complained to my credit card company about them, they said Aliexpress is already under review for bad practices.
More than 5K spent on Aliexpress for last 3 years. Good alternative for other platforms! Huge quantity of unique items that are not offered on ebay.

I have been purchasing from AliExpress for two years now and every seller is different, and the sellers I have come to know, I feel like they are my frinz. Communication is the key to any relationship. Of the sellers I have purchased from I would say 4 out of 5 have pleasantly kept me informed. Now it takes a while to receive my items when I ordered late, so I have learned to order early to receive my items with in the times I need them. Therefore I must say that for the past two years I have been extremely satisfied with the items I have purchased and they have been unbelievably reasonable. Also AliExpress has become my new shoe and boot store. I just received an order from AliExpress that drew a crowd as they fell in love with the Hello Kitty boots I purchase for my granddaughter. I'am waiting on three others items and setting up for my next purchases. AliExpress has made it possible for me to shop for my family and myself, because of their reasonable prices, and everything here were I live is so expensive, and no real quality. I'AM SO STICKING WITH ALIEXPRESS. I HAVE FOUND MY ONE SHOP STORE and I have never returned any item I have purchased. Aliexpress does not have live agents that you can speak with they only have a chat room that is hard to get to. They do not resolve your issues or have any explanation for whats going wrong with your case. Its like they dont keep past records. So, every time you must send a re-explanation of your situation. They should keep some sort of file system. I shouldnt be telling them the issue they should be telling me. If you sent me an email about something, your agents you should have some sort of account of this information.
I use Aliexpress for drop shipping on my online store. After placing 13 orders with no dilemma, my account was flagged for security reasons of which I resolved by submitting the proper documentation to prove my validity. I received an email form them on December 15,2016 stating, Thank you for uploading your documents. We were able to validate your transaction and are happy to let you know that you can start placing orders on AliExpress.com again. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Well sure enough when I tried to place my order for the same jacket yesterday on December 29,2016 I received the same massage after my payment was submitted accepted and withdrawn from my bank account. The very next day I got an email saying we are sorry to inform you that we have to cancel your order for security reason, and they were requesting the same exact documentation. When I contacted the chat room about this matter the lady had absolutely no explanation for why my account was flagged. At the very least they could have pinpointed the reason for my account being flagged. DO NOT do business with this company it is too much headache. This is not the only issue Ive had with them I have also had issues with refunds as well. Which is probably why they flagged my account because I gave a bad review, however I was just stating facts that were backed up with evidence.
