Terrible
June 21, 2022

Had an awful experience with Air Canada!
A total of 5 hours of delays, no explanations what so ever. Sitting on the runway for another hour, again with no explanation, no customer support, 3-4 hour line up just for some customer service booth. Very little care at all for their customers or their experience.

The worst flight wxperience I have ever had
October 23, 2023

My experience with Air Canada was nothing short of a complete disaster. I wouldn't wish this airline on my worst enemy. To start, our departure was delayed by a mind-boggling two hours, and the reason? Apparently, the gate wasn't even available. So there we sat, like cattle, twiddling our thumbs, and wondering if this was some kind of cruel joke.

But oh, the delays didn't stop there. No, they continued throughout the flight. It was as if Air Canada had a personal vendetta against punctuality. The flight attendants must have thought they were on vacation too, as they seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than addressing the frustrated passengers.

I'd like to say that the in-flight experience made up for it, but that would be a lie. The seats were about as comfortable as a park bench, and the in-flight entertainment was laughable at best. It's safe to say that my next flight won't be booked with Air Canada. If you value your time and sanity, steer clear of this airline.

Air Canada let down
June 24, 2023

Not sure 100 words is enough. Thanks to Air Canada my 89 year old mother in law will not be able to see her last grand child graduate from high school. This is the second time they rescheduled her. The first they wanted to change her to a red eye so she would arrive in Toronto for 6am leaving Victoria at midnight. Not impressed. Since the pandemic airlines are getting worse but they want more money. Tired of it. Thanks Air Canada

DELAYS, Lost baggage. No customer service whatsoever, either at the airport, on the phone or on the website. Will cost me many tens of thousands in extra travel expenses, items checked in baggage and lost. Will never deal with this dishonest incompetent unprofessional company again. Save yourself the trouble and AVOID this airline!

Tried to change departure time of last leg a round trip. The price difference on line is $45 more per person but this company tried to charge me $986 per person to make the change. I asked why and was told they had to rebook the entire flight at new costs. The increase in cost was only $250 when I tried to book it. Be aware of the scam that this company runs and avoid flying with them if possible.

Two of the Air Canada agents did not allow me to carry on the smallest briefcase of a set of3 by Samsonite. I had no problem with other airlines. I had horrible experience in dealing with the 2 agents. I lost my temper and asked for their supervisor. The supervisor finally dealt the carry on bags to our satisfaction. We were flying from Vancouver to Washington DC. Infact most of the other airlines don't bother on the carry on bags, except Air Canada. Ease avoid Air Canada. 😌

Used it for the 1st time traveling abroad through Toronto, Canada (1 stop) on June 2022. Flight was long, tiring, "shaky" and landing was a bit hard. The flights were always late. So many passengers were very stressed. My suitcase was missing TWICE as a result, upon arrival at my destination and back in the USA (after promising that it will follow me safely). Also the delays caused me to miss my connected flight and wait for 1 day. Many travelers had similar experience and I've learned its a norm in Air-Canada. Wont use them again.

I was indeed fortunate enough to have encountered "Wayne". I had to fix some Air Canada flight connections. Wayne stayed with me on this and was so helpful and professional helping me fix it. Wayne is a great credit to himself and especially Air Canada. He is the model of what all airline agents should be. Treat him well, he can keep customers coming back for more. Thank you Wayne and thank you Air Canada.

Vancouver to Edmonton
August 11, 2022

So much bad news lately regarding air flights... my trip from Vancouver to Edmonton returned went so smoothly... flight almost on time leaving and left right on time returning. I used the wheel chair service for the first time and the staff was wonderful both in Vancouver and Edmonton. My luggage arrived unharmed. Thank you Air Canada.

I had booked a trip in Oct 2021. I spent weeks trying to get a hold of an agent to change my flight due to a medical emergency without success. Even American Express could not reach the Airline, they subsequently credited my account after. Lengthy disputed investigation. Over a year later, I received a notice that a collection agency opened account for an amount of $900. I never once received a bill or notification from Air Canada or the collection agency that I owed anything for a service I did not receive. Absolutely pathetic service. The Federal Trade Commission has been made aware of the poor service by Air Canada, Cedars Businesses and TransUnion Credit agency.

Air canada
December 11, 2020

I for one, do not like air Canada.
I am from Canada and am frankly disappointed. Their planes are always dirty, one time when I used air Canada there was a very strong smell coming from my seat.
Many of you have rated a company and know that one star = stay away, that is exactly my advice to you.

I love Air Canada!
May 23, 2011

I love Air Canada! Every flight I've had with them has been wonderful. Booking through them is extremely easy and straight forward. I get to see the information and photos of the plane and pick my seat. They show all of the rates for the day you're looking at with possible upgrades, along with tabs that show the cheapest price for dates the week before and after. They've been the cheapest option every time I fly to canada, and the only one that doesn't have layovers. Other airlines always want to divert to Detroit or Cleveland before taking me to Toronto. The one time I had to change a flight, the fee was only $75 (much lower than others) and the employees were very helpful. They send reminders for the flights and allow you to set up e-mail and/or text reminders, along with information on any delays. The only delays I've experienced have been because of runway closures, nothing to do with the airline itself.

I was really mad about the crew at Laguardia aiport on a flight to Quebec With a stopover for 4 or 5 hours in Montréal that doesn't let me take my carry on bag in the cabine they said there was no more space but they let some passenger get in the plane with more than 1 carry on bag and they let some of them put some kind of bag that can go under their seat it was really unappreciate the way she took the bag on my hands. Full flight or not every passenger must have their carry on bag with them if it's fit in the sizer and it's only one bag by passenger not 2 and the chance to get your carry on bag with you is not suppose to base on if you are on zone 1 2 3 or 4 5

Flew Calgary - Los Angeles flight, horrible customer service from employee name Smita at Calgary airport. Request her to not mix travel documents of different group members as there was 1 ticket for entire group. She yelled and threw all travel documents, told me to not teach her how to do her job.

I booked many times with Air Canada and had several situations with them (just as with any airline), but they always solved the issue and gave a small compensation. I especially appreciated when I had to travel unexpectedly to attend a funeral, and they offered me a bereavement fare. It was great that I didn't have to worry too much about my flightd during that time. They gave me a fair price and made all the arrangements for me.

When I tried to check in for my flight online, I found Air Canada completely changed the details of my flight, and didn't even bother to notify me. The new flight that was forced on me was so bad, that there was no way I could just accept it. After a long wait on the line, the airline representative (who didn't even offer an apology, let alone a compensation), said the only thing he could do was to rebook the flight to a later date, or give me a refund. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, he said there were no supervisors. Seriously? In any case, I had no choice but to rebook the flight, with all the inconveniences attached to it. Then, for dessert, the rude representative just hung up on me mid-call, so I had to call back and wait forever again just to verify that the details of the new flight were indeed finalized. The representative who answered my second call was just as rude and impatient as the first one, if not more, but at least I got to verify the details of my new flight. Terrible customer service, unreliable airline company.

AC621 ended in an horrific crash at Toronto Airport on July 5th 1970. 50 years later there remained pieces of the aircraft and human bones in the debris field. Finally the families of the victims and the Developers were able to come together to have the site designated as a cemetery and is now a beautiful memorial park. After that terrible disaster you would think that Air Canada would have permanently retired that flight number out of respect for the victims and their families. Flight AC621 still flys today.

Lost baggage
January 12, 2023

Terrible customer service in airport, big mess in the airport. I was flying from Toronto to Orlando, my baggage not arrived, they funded my baggage, 5 days in Toronto, but still I can't get my baggage. Everyday 3-4 flight from Toronto to Orlando, I don't know what the wrong with this Air Canada, big time shame. They not deserve be Star Alliance airlines. In the future use another Airline. My rate minus 5 star.

Worse flying experience!
June 19, 2022

I've never seen anything so bad. They said not to go to the terminal until my initials showed up on the screen indicating my luggage had made it to the plane. Well my luggage made it and I didn't. Then I stood in line for three hours to rebook my flight. Then they shut down and send me to another line. Total disorganization! I should have just went to the terminal hoping the luggage got there. Then they insisted my daughter wasn't on the plane. I was 100% sure she was. I truly have never seen anything so bad! Never fly Air Canada!
