I've never seen anything so bad. They said not to go to the terminal until my initials showed up on the screen indicating my luggage had made it to the plane. Well my luggage made it and I didn't. Then I stood in line for three hours to rebook my flight. Then they shut down and send me to another line. Total disorganization! I should have just went to the terminal hoping the luggage got there. Then they insisted my daughter wasn't on the plane. I was 100% sure she was. I truly have never seen anything so bad! Never fly Air Canada!
Never ever do any business with air canda
February 2023
I just find out who has my money which is don't use my money not worth you a penny or air canada I will never use your service again and never recommend to anyone your company loose my business forever even I loose my money here never again any business with you again its March 2022
Just arrived home from newark New Jersey it was a 5 hr flight
The guy across the isle from me was coughing and snorting and was not using even a Kleenex, I spoke to a flight attendant and suggested they provide him with a box of Kleenex and a mask, she blew me off said Covids is over and there was nothing she could do.
The very small wash rooms were awash in urine and were never cleaned up during the flight, never thought I would have to wear rubber boots on an air Canada flight. The ceo just got a big fat raise and I will bet his washrooms are not like this.
As a side note our daughter met us in Newark they had flown in from dubai on emeritus air, they had a washroom attendant on the flight to keep washrooms suitable for humans
It is horrible experience. The service cannot be worse. The schedule was changed many times. The airplane was canceled and the customer service was horrible and not help at all. They gave our family random seat and let the little kid sit by herself. It was worst for ever
I can't say enough about how friendly and compassionate air Canada employees are. I was having a hard time because of a flight that kept getting delayed. I had been at the airport for hours upon hours and was at my wits end. It would be many hours before my next flight, as it kept getting delayed…I got up and happened to see a very nice gentleman who worked for Air Canada…I told him my story and he was more than happy to set me up in a hotel with food and taxi vouchers and book me a flight for the next day for my son and I. Air Canada is very lucky to have such a great employee in JASKARAN SINGH! He was absolutely amazing, compassionate and he sincerely cared about us. Thank you again Jaskaran, I am going to pay it forward for someone else I see in need. Love Air Canada!
Sincerely,
Larissa
My wife and I were coming back from Frankfurt to Calgary, on Tuesday October 10,2023, flight number AC849 with Air Canada. As soon as we are seating in our very small seats in Economy class they announced on the speakers that there was not going to be any entertainment in the whole trip because a computer malfunction. It was a 10 hours and 15 minutes fly without having the possibility to watch a movie or a TV show or any type of the entertainment. On top of that the food was horrible and even the red wine they offered couldn't be drunk because probably was left on the sun or close to a heat source and it was horrible, although the bottle said it was from France.
As we arrived to the gate in Calgary a Flight Attendant again apologized for the lack of entertainment system and he said that Air Canada would provide compensation to the passengers. And so far we heard nothing.
As a Canadian I feel ashamed of our only Canadian airline. I still remember the old Canadian Pacific being one of the best airlines companies in the World. I wouldn't recommend Air Canada to any of my friends.
I got a ticket for $1500 and it got cancelled by Air Canada. They never refunded me back. Only gave me $90 credit through the travel agent after being on hold for long hours
We booked tickets to fly from the US to Spain and Air Canada cancelled or changed legs of the trip repeatedly leading up to the flight itself. After calling their customer support repeatedly (and sitting on hold for eons) we got to an agent who confirmed our eligibility for a full refund (also had that in writing) and the agent advised us to cancel our tickets online for the "full refund". After cancelling the tickets as instructed we find out that the tickets had only been partially refunded and the Customer Support agent had instructed us to follow a process that according to Air Canada is "self-cancelled" despite the fact that they had changed the flights and acknowledged our right to a full refund. We contact their customer support 5 times to explain the situation only to be told, nope sorry we are going to fraudulently keep your refund because you followed the wrong process.
Long story short do not ever fly or book tickets with this airline. Horrific customer support, poor communication, training, website functionality - a terrible experience from the moment I regrettably pushed the "purchase tickets" button.
Fraudulent crooks. They will end in bankruptcy soon enough.
I filed the dispute against Air Canada with my credit card company and I was advised today that they won the dispute for me and my card was credited the full amount for all 3 round trip tickets from Toronto to and from Barcelona. Kudos to Synchrony Bank!
Air Canada cancelled my flights and are refusing to refund my money!. All other members of my family who were scheduled to travel on Lufthansa and Norwegian Air are all getting a full refund due to the airline cancellations because of COVID-19 and I would have thought that Air Canada, being the more reputable of the three would be refunding their customers as well. Nope, they are only offering vouchers and I have no intention of flying internationally anytime within the next 2 years. Again, I did not cancel the flight, they did, so I should not be penalized for extenuating circumstances. Then they have very "shady" instructions where they tell the customer to go into the system and "cancel" the reservations but, that would indicate that I cancelled the reservation, not them. It just sounds like a set up so they can then say that I cancelled and am subject to the customer cancellation rules. I cannot believe such a well known airline is not giving full refunds when other lesser known airlines are in fact providing their customers with fair refund services.
I will never use Aircanada in this lifetime. I booked two tickets and they charged me a cancellation fee for a flight that they had cancelled due to corona virus.
Shame on you!
This AIR Canada is a scam.
Few years back I brought tickets for my parents from Toronto to Los Angeles include 1 main luggage each.
My parents from abroad visiting Toronto and Los Angeles and NY. I wanted to provide them hassel free flights.
But, at the check time they demand extra fees to check in single main luggage each. ** luggages was under weight even**. We spoke and show them tickets it's says clearly 1 main luggage included for each tickets.
They check in crew of AIR CANADA demanded 35$ each for tickets, parents were travelers. So, they look benefits out it. Totally scam and disrespectful services provided to my travelers.
My questions now is Canadian government doest see this kind of scam and the way this AIR CANADA represting their country to the outside world?
On my return flight home from Paris I had a connection in Toronto on July 1st. Who knew it was a Canadian Holiday and they were short staffed. So, what do you know my family and I were stranded in Canada. We were all instructed to get a Hotel and that Air Canada would reimburse us $300 for a room. She even gave us all a contact business card to use for the claim. So we found a room for $380 for the night, Air Canada refused to give us our luggage which was in Terminal 1. Apple air tags allowed us to keep track of our bags.
So staying in our same clothes for technically 2 days because we left from Paris, our flight home was rerouted through LaGuardia in NYC to get to Cleveland. So after 2 delays in Toronto in our second attempt to get home caused us to missed our connecting flight in LaGuardia. By the grace of God we got home through stand-by, however luggage arrived at our house on July 4th at 9:30 at night.
It was still in Canada on July 3rd.
We were lied to by the service agent.
I went through the online refund process. They are trying to cheat me and state it was out of their control. It's pretty interesting; I have have their text indicating it was cancelled due to no crew. The agent also said they had no staff. Please boycott this airline. Please avoid this airline. They are not honoring the International Traveler Law.
DO NOT GIVE YOUR PRECIOUS MONEY TO AIR CANADA - this company is an experiment in the outer limits of corporate abuse of those upon whom it depends. Having for no observable reason —no weather issues —no crises political public health or otherwise —been made to wait 14 hours for a simple one hour flight -from Toronto to New York —delayed twice — fighting for a flight that would be only 12 hours delay —got me a customer service lady with a Latin American accent acting the Madonna receiving the crucified Christ from the cross - while her colleagues gave her nurturing looks I was hurting her nerves by shouting —a Supervisor smirking at me and whispering —when I said she should direct her fragilities to her corporate superiors instead of beleaguered customers her hitherto calmer more human seeming colleague had an outburst and threatened to tear up my ticket —simply nauseating— they were in a glass cage —
Poor jn flight service, a screen that was so dim it was worthless and to top it off after the last 3 hour hop of a 28hr journey we sit kn the tarmac waiting for our gate just crap all arpund
You can't put it past Air Canada and their attendants for the lack of common sense they carry. Here we are sitting on a plane that's half full. The back half of the plane is more or less full, whereas the front half is empty. In asking an attendant if we could move up, they were reluctant too because of the five people up front who paid for premium economy. Now I can understand if the majority of the seats were spoken for and those guests might have an issue, but we're talking about five seats out 60 that are in use. Why on earth would you not allow your guests who are the plane some extra room to stretch out, and just keep everyone happy. They could literally make someone's experience 10x better by allowing this gesture. Those five people up front could careless at this point, they're content and likely wouldn't even notice. I've been on plenty of US carriers who don't bat an eyelash. In fact they encourage it. At the end of the day customer service is customer service and Air Canada is always one to disappoint in this department, sadly.
This is the most terrible website I have ever come across. They need a whole revamp. You can not do anything on this site. Rated most terrible airline website of the 21 century.
Pls avoid it like a plague, at any cost avoid air canada. They have no respect for any body and they will cancel your flight for no reason and duck you up.
We booked a flight with air Canada, and we were rejected boarding because the flight was overbooked, they refused to compensate us and told us we had to rebook a flight that departs from another city. They even made us pay for the price difference between two flights and the transportation to that city.
One of my friend got the boarding pass first, but then air Canada told us that the plane is full so we cannot board. The airline admitted first that the plane was overbooked and we got kicked out because we bought the cheap tickets. But then, they quickly changed their reasoning to "you guys are late", even though the one of us "late" passengers got the boarding pass just a second ago.
Also not quite sure why they had to repeat again and again that we could have boarded if we have bought the preferred seat for some extra $$. If they are willing to sell some tickets for cheap, they should serve those who bought them!
Worst airline experience ever, I deeply regret being a loyal customer and accumulate over 20,000 miles with them.
Very unhelpful and condescending to your questions. Do not ever book with them. Do not answer your specific questions
Answer: It's real company but the service the food Specially when you pay the big moneys for business class Is a disaster and I will not use them and not recommend to use them
