I made a reservation on April 6th and was expecting the hotel voucher to follow within 10 minutes as stated. It is now 2 days later and it has not come. I have sent an email with my Agoda confirmation number and my email address ( just in the unlikely chance they have the incorrect address) and I got NO reply. Have been on the phone twice for 1/2 hour each ( no toll free number from this country) and never spoke to a human.
DO NOT USE THIS SITE
Stay away from this company at all costs, there are far better booking companies out there. My experience using their online search and booking system has been a nightmare. Agoda
Incorrectly recorded my email address so booking information was sent to a different email address than mine. Agoda denies this but the email address they recorded on my profile is very similar to mine, but wrong just the same. After making one successful reservations at an OK hotel, two booking were created without my knowledge and I only discovered them when the charges hit my credit card.
Since all emails were being delivered to someone else, I did not know I had a problem with Agoda until the charges hit my credit card.
Agoda did not admit their error. Agoda did not return my calls even after a specific promise to do so. Agoda did not answer their customer support line promptly; I had to wait over an hour 4 different times to reach a human. Agoda was not able to locate the email error promptly. Agoda did not assist me in communicating with the hotels. I never once was able to reach the same person twice so I spent my time explaining the same problem over and over again on each call. Agodas response was always the same, that I must have made an error and booked the two different hotels in Berlin for the same days andas the reservations were pre-paid and there was nothing they could/would do to assist me. I reached out to booking.com and they found the problem in under 15 minutes, but referred me to back to Agoda to resolve it. Agoda has been giving me the same run around for nearly three weeks. Im out nearly 500 euro thanks to Agoda. Agoda emailed me tonight and assured me that they were very sorry that I failed to cancel my reservation on time(the one I didnt know I had), but that there was nothing they could do to alter their cancellation policy.
Im through with them. Use anyone but Agoda for your own sanity.
Trip Advisor directed me to book through Agoda. I arrived at the hotel, we booked a pet friendly hotel online, but... Surprise... the hotel does not allow pets! The hotel staff helped us find a pet friendly hotel close by. Now, after 4 phone calls, 3 emails to both Trip Advisor and Agoda, I cannot get a refund. Thank God for a credit card that I can dispute the charges and get a refund.
Booked and paid for a hotel in Chennai India... paid up front and then arrived at the hotel to find they had cancelled it. For no reason. They did email me before saying send us a photo of your credit card but that is fraudster language. Called their customer service who could not explain what happened or offer any solution. Lucky for me my cancelled hotel managed to find me a room in another hotel. Completely ruined my relaxing holiday and this is unforgiveable. Aggrieved and very upset... and this is a genuine review. TripAdvisor should drop this booking agent ASAP.
I made a reservation and cancelled it within hours and they charged me $500.38. That's not the worst part, my bank disputed the charge but the company actually put in an unauthorized charge after my bank applied a credit to my account and resolved the issue, instead of going through through the dispute process.

I booked a hotel in Rome, and was in a taxi on my way there, when they emailed me that the hotel was out of rooms and they could offer me one in a hotel I KNOW was a dump in a TERRIBLE neighborhood. Total bait and switch.
Then they told me they were not charging me for the cancellation, as if they were doing me a favor, when the issue was THER FAULT. And they gave me a "gift" for my trouble. Of course it was a credit to use with their sh*tty service. Yeah, right!
Use Hotels.com. Never had a problem with them.
I made a booking for my daughter via Agoda Website for a hotel in Kuta. It was her first overseas holiday and she asked me to do this for her as I am very experienced at booking/researching holiday accommodation. When making the booking there were lots of deals for Bali Accommodation on various sites including Wotif, Booking.com etc they were all offering the same room with breakfast included. I ended up choosing Agoda as the promotion we booked said that it included transfers and I couldn't work out if the other sites would also include this. A Few days prior to check in I contacted Grand Barong to make sure they would be at the airport for my daughters arrival. They then advised me that transfers were not included and nor was the daily buffet breakfast. I was obviously extremely angry at this as I had spent so long researching which company to book through. I tried to contact Agoda several times and they could not even have the decency to respond or call me book. The hotel sent me a copy of the booking confirmation which says Breakfast is not included. So basically Agoda completely ripped me off. I would never have booked with them if this was not included. I wonder how many more people they do this too? Agoda guest booked a non refundable room and agoda gave them a full refund. They said the guest booked the wrong location but only after a week and not showing up the night of the reservation. Agoda lists our hotel clearly with address etc. Do not use this booking site. You can get the same deal or better by emailing, calling, or messaging the hotel/resort direct. They charge a 25% commission and they do not pay us on time.
STAY AWAY FROM AGODA!
They might be a few pound cheaper than the other companies but its not worth it! We booked a hotel for December 2017, once we received the confirmation it had completely different dates, February 2018. I contacted them immediately to let them know of the mistake and they have refused to help at all. They have said once its booked they cant change it even it is their mistake. £300 down the drain!
Worst experience I have ever had. We booked our trip through Agoda for a family trip to Cancun purchased airline tickets and excursions which were non refundable. I went to my online Agoda portal and our trip showed up canceled. I called Customer service and after a 1hr hold I spoke with a women could not explain to me why my trip was canceled asked to speak with a supervisor she put me on hold for another 20 min then said I could not speak with supervisor and that she could not do anything to fix the mistake Agoda did by canceling trip. Asked for the agents name and would only give me her first name. This company is shady and I would never recommend even to my worst enemy.

I booked an airport hotel via Agoda. It accepted my dates and the room type I chose however, when I put my payment details in and clicked on a discount code it changed the dates completely to the month before. Agoda will NOT amend or let you cancel they also state they have 24/7 representation... they do not. When I rang them at 630am UK time I was basically told that it was my error and they would contact the hotel. I decided to email the hotel directly only to be told that Agoda DO NOT have a contract for the top room that I had booked! Whats even worse, the confirmation from Agoda confirms the room that they have no contract to book! God knows how they can get away with this its basically FRAUD as far as Im concerned. FALSE ADVERTISING, TAKING MONEY for something they cannot honour! I have managed to get the date changed directly with the hotel but at an extra £89 on top of the £80 I already paid! I will never use this company again and would advise anyone to do the same! RIP OFF. Also, the room booked is actually the cheapest the hotel do with BUNK beds! I wouldve hit the roof if Id gone to check in and found that

I am extremely disappointed by the customer service of Agoda. They have taken $2500 without my authorisation, and have sent email confirmation that I have not been charged. I have spent 5 hours on the phone. Im starting to think that the use the preauthorisation to invest to make profit. They are incompetent thieves! With terrible service. Five different answers from five staff! No manager call back and day 3 of unauthorised taking of my funds. There is a reason that Booking.com allow direct payment at hotels! Im posting this just so I can get them to respond to my calls and emails and return the funds that they cant explain why or how were taken.

Stay away from this site. They book at below official rate of the hotel and then when you show up, the hotel refuses accommodation.
The hotel we stayed at was horrendous, totally incorrect listing and we left after 1 night. When i spoke to Agoda they originally seemed concerned and offered me a $50 gift card to apologise for my experience, but things got way worse. The hotel would not offer me a refund as they stated I stayed all the booked nights, I evidenced to Agoda that this was not the case and they tried to pursue a refund. They couldn't seemingly get hold of the hotel but continued to stay loyal to them. Eventually they offered to front the refund for the nights we didn't stay. In a flurry of confusion also offered another $50 giftcard. This was then retracted within the next email as "please disregard the giftcard". Really?. By the end of our dialogues they seemed to have little caress for the state of the hotel and obviously were going to do nothing about it despite its absolute state. They don't care about their customers and really dont know how to support them, TOTAL JOKE.
They do not help support you at all if you have an issue with payment or hotels. Better off going through expedia or booking.com who have more helpful customer support.

Then saying my bank didn't let them they gave me my receipt number that day cancelled it... then the next day while on my way to the destination I realise that the accommodation was not actually booked only to go back on same site to be stung with sorry we don't have your reservation... but oh yep agonda took your money stated that it was a guaranteed thing I just need to be listened to never ever ever in any situation use priceline as they use. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
