Booked a room and got a confirmation, travelled to the hotel by cab and the guy over there says no room available we are not responsible check with support.
And the super worst things is no support number for Agoda and all the chat systems are bots.

Agoda misrepresented everything about the hotel I was staying in, and even flat out lied about my room. I took screenshots before submitting, thankfully and they promised me a shower in my room, but instead, had to use a disgusting "shared" bathroom, which was used by the entire hotel; a dirty tub, with no hot water, and hairs lying all over the place! They also promised free cancellation but denied me my money back. I have to go through my credit card company, because their customer service is NON-EXISTENT!
Booked a hotel for Venice. It's under water, we have pictures but they refused to refund our stay. Said the hotel claims to be 100 percent operational. But they didn't have the food or ability to make it as promised with their free breakfast. They had standing water in the hotel. It smelled like fish in the entire hotel.
Agoda is more of a hustler rather than a honest, upfront site.
Typical issues:
- Click somewhere, and the booking dates will be changed
- Remove the Agoda cash redemption
- No clear formula on arriving to a final price
- If I go through travelocity, the prices are lower
You have to be on the alert all the time. It's like dealing with a predator.
We booked hotel through it and went to the hotel stayed there after few days my friend stayed on same place we came to know each other but he only pays less then 1/3 of what we paid in online through agoda.
My girlfriend and I booked through Agoda and holy $#*! save yourself the trouble and don't book through these scammers. Sure the price is nice and cheap, but you're literally praying to god that you win the lottery and they miraculously don't cancel on you. Called customer service and you're met with an outsourced employee that was unprofessional and hung up on us.
I currently live out of hotels in Thailand. Had problem in a hotel. Booked the nicest room with a pool view got an older outdated room. Hotel referred me to Agoda. Agoda has spent 2 days waiting for a response from the hotel. Now my time is over in this hotel and I did not get the room I payed for. Thier response time is 5 to 6 hours on an email. Other sites are cheaper but your best bet is to book direct with the hotel. You will get what you pay for or atleast have someone you can talk to immediately if you have a problem
Falsely put on their site a room that comes with a tub but when I called the hotel they said it does not come with a tub. Now when I try to change my reservation Agoda says they can't refund me even though they put the wrong description and an in accurate photo on their site. All I wanted was my money back to upgrade to a room that had a tub and they weren't willing to be flexible or help me.
I booked the hotel but it does not have adequate Air conditioning even after I told them the problem. On top of that, the hotel does not have electricity for 4-9 hours per day. I decided to move out and Agoda would not refunded me citing that they are always on hotel side no matter how bad the accommodation is. Stay away from them
By more than 6 months I have used this platform for book some hotels, Europe and Asia, and punctually is arrived on my email account the form for post reviews about the hotels staying... well, after many and many reviews about well and bad opinions, any and I repeat ANYONE of my opinions has been published for help other consumers. The customer care reply me that they have millions reviews every day and is impossible to give space at all customers reviews, so in other words don't trust in Agoda, their reviews are totally fakes as in my personal bad experiences with more than 23 different bookings in 6 months... I will never use anymore this platform for booking!
This is probably one of the worst websites that I have ever booked through and am so glad that a lot of other people have had such a poor experience with them. Other sites such as Booking.com, etc will provide correct reviews, better customer service and actually do a great deal with the hotel.
I used Agoda multiple times for many years. I like the uncluttered but informative layout of their website. The site is fast in response and works good. One suggestion is to have a comparison option. Assuming that I have finalised 3 or 4 hotels and if I want to a quick comparison of them, this option will be useful.
Booking.com must have hired some Russian service to write negative reviews about their cousins of agoda.com. Agoda is the perfect website for your bookings, they are safe and they manage the payments for most of the hotels but be aware that some of the bookings are passing thru booking.com so try to avoid this kind of booking or you'll have serious problem. 5***** Best service EVER.
Booked a night away. Got an emergency appointment with my MS neuro. Didn't get a letter as they called me. Told Agoda. Spoke to hotel who said I could cancel and get a refund no problem. Agoda asked for proof of MS. Sent 7 documents but they still said no. First time booking with Agoda and definitely my last.
Worst customer service i have seen.
1. Have waited and exhausted by calling 24×7 customer care.
2. Sent email and no response even after sending reminders.
Will never use this agoda again and will not recommend as well..
I find Agoda to be very complete in the number of listed hotels available. From time to time, there are Insider Deals which are super awesome... I would recommend this to anyone especially their membership and loyalty program...
I have booked many hotels around the world with Agoda and have enjoyed every experience. Some came with pleasant surprises. Easy to use website, prices always discounted, and points provide further discount. No nasty surprises at the end.
I've had the worst experience booking through Agoda.com. Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, our hotel booking in Italy was cancelled. However, Agoda has taken nothing to do with it and says it's between us and the hotel.
I wanted to check the terms of use when I made the booking through Agoda in February 2020. After numerous phone calls over the last month and the worst customer service I've ever dealt with including being told that I would receive the terms of use within days and the manager should be phoning me back after this phone call - none of this happened and I still haven't received the terms of use. They seem very reluctant to hand them over which I find suspicious.
I have found that the Agoda website is very easy to access. It is very informative and contains all the necessary information for me to book online a hotel of my choice. All reviews are based on those who have had experiences with that particular hotel. I will go by the general opinion and will write a review should my views need to be expressed.

Agoda cancelled mine booking because their pay system stated that the money was not received or confirmed by their payment partner.
So I went to another Hotel where I could pay in cash.
But later I saw that the money was send to Agoda.
But after 7 e-mails still no answer.
And by calling you are connected to a CD with unpleasant music and no one pick up the phone.
So they get the money. And after that they are unreachable.

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
