Booked a B&B beginning of July price from accommodation was different from Agoda contacted both parties and received no response. Canceled booking and received confirmation from Agoda that it had been canceled. Low and behold 3 weeks later get credit card statement with pending payment to Agoda. Contacted Agoda with a copy of the cancellation confirmation email and instructed them not to take payment as you may have guessed they have taken the money. A far I am concerned that is theft. I will now be have to recover the money with all the aggravation that will entail. My advice is to avoid this company and use someone with customer service and no light fingers.
Don't fell on to the false claims by agoda, they claimed for Parking service, free cancellation end up wrong instead. Lose my money, Agoda Helpdesk dont even listen what's your problems, simply they dont care about customers.even the Hoteliers don't respect you booked thro agoda.
Do not use this company. I tried to cancel in less that 24 hrs to no avail. Agoda was saying I have to cancel with the property (hotel), hotel was saying it was agora I have to cancel with since they are the one that did the booking. After Agoda charged my credit card which is way before the check in date, they sent me a cancellation policy of 363 days prior.
Agoda mimics the actual hotel website to get your booking through them. It is very difficult to cancel the reservation after and can't be done from the reservation confirmation email as it should. I finally had to google agoda customer service. Bad company - borderline scam.
Agoda has never failed me. All the hotels that I have booked through Agoda I am happy to say that I am very satisfied. Moreover rewards points are given. In exchange we can redeem these points to lessen our hotel room rates. Hence we get o pay less
I made a mistake on my booking date. 15 minutes later they won't change it for me. They won't refund me. They won't give me credit and or make any changes on the name etc.

I have been using Agoda for many years now. I find the website and interface very easy and user friendly compared to other hotel website. It is also convenient to read Review of the hotel on Agoda. The hotel deals especially when you book much earlier is usually good especially when they have Flash deals and insider deal just for members. The points collected can also be use to offset future booking. Highly recommended.
I booked a 5 star hotel through Agoda with option pay later. 4 days prior to my date, I tried to make the payment. It declined. Tried many cards of different banks and people. All of them are same as rejected. Agoda customer care caanot do anything. They must add more payment options like net banking. So, for Indians they should avoid the site for any booking.
What I like about Agoda is their quick booking and at the same time their response if at all I have needed changes due to my schedules. They have always approached the hotels and assisted with necessary changes. Peace of mind is what I need during travels and I get that from Agoda's responsible & matured attitude. Keep it going, Agoda.
I requested Agoda reserve 3 nights for me in Orlando. They reserved 2 and then refused ro change it. My dispute through the credit card company resulted in them canceling the reservation and charging me $414 penalty.
Do not do business with this pack of scammers.
Terrible experience with this company. They took my $6000 fir a six night stay in Dubai. They agreed to change the room ad caked me to cancel the booking free of charge and re book the type of room I wanted. I gave them the new booking number. Later I received an email saying that I need to pay for the new room, meanwhile they already have $6000 for my old booking. I must have emailed them about 40 times to clarify the issue. Right now, I don't even know if I have a booking or not, and I'm out $6000. That's Agoda for you. Very useless, wretched company. If I could give them minus 5, I would.
Have stayed here 3 times within 1year, switched from another of my favorites. Great atmosphere, excellent condition of rooms. Knowledgeable personal and wonderful house service. Would recommend this hotel to all. Nice area. Close to transit, shopping and much more. A+

Incredibly frustrated and annoyed at Agoda's Book Now, Pay Later service. The booking was made by my partner 7 months ago and the payment is very strategically made 23 days prior to arrival which leaves just a 48 hour window for cancellation. No email is sent to confirm payment or to advise of pending payment. You have to come across the transaction within 48 hours otherwise you lose 100%. Adoga very kindly *sarcasm* kept 50% of our money ($500) - this is not a reasonable cancellation fee when cancelling 20 days prior to travel.
Yes, the terms were in writing 7 months ago BUT, they are still using a practice to ensure that customers don't get the opportunity to cancel if they do need to rather than openly communicating with customers as to when a credit card will be charged.
I booked couple of hotels in miami, 2 days each for cheaper price compared to other websites. However at checkin, both the hotels charged me 100% more. When reached out to agoda, they said they will talk to hotel management but never received my money. Booking ids ******* and *******.
Never have any problems with Agoda, easy to book, good discounts, just works. Thats why I always use this site for hotel bookings, and love the fact that I get build up of points for occassional free night stays.

This property was selected keeping in mind that there is an elevator in the building.
75 years old couple has to take the trouble of looking for a new property which resulted into trouble and stress.

Some Agoda cash compensated to make us happy but such compensations do not bring happiness is something that company should realise.
I do not recommend bookings via Agoda to anyone as there is no assurance inspite of complete advance payments.

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
