You can see screenshots of the conversation, i get angry in the end sorry for that. In the site for good deals and stuff they are publishing last rooms from the hotel. After you made your reservation and they got the money, your reservation getting canceled. Maybe and its just a maybe if you are lucky you can have your money back in 30 days. Thats it. They will not help you with a new reservation, they will not care do you have budged for it or not, they do not care of anything, you have to find a new hotel and pay more now. Don't even think about to use Agoda.com!
I have booked over 10 hotels with Agoda and they say that you get much deeper discounts when you achieve that status, but it's actually the opposite. The price for the exact same booking I look up on my agoda account is over 20% more expensive than the exact stay when I'm not logged in. They also never actually match their best rate guarantee. They say this is the lowest price you've seen and that's a lie and they also say you save money when booking in the app when in reality same stays are over 15% more expensive in the app.
They show you some good deals. When you try and purchase the deal, they will cancel the deal. Once canceled, they will ask you to rebook. When you try and find the deal to rebook, the deal will be gone and the price will be hiked. The customer service is trash, they will repeatedly tell you to rebook, blame the cancelation on the card, and when asked to speak to a supervisor, they will place you on hold for a long period of time and hang up. It's a complete scam. There is nothing wrong with your card, they are just running a bait-and-switch scam. Don't waste your time.
Don't fell on to the false claims by agoda, they claimed for Parking service, free cancellation end up wrong instead. Lose my money, Agoda Helpdesk dont even listen what's your problems, simply they dont care about customers.even the Hoteliers don't respect you booked thro agoda.
STAFFORD GABLES HOSTEL DUNEDIN,NEW ZEALAND Booked a hostel room through Agoda,for myself and 3daughters. Room was absolutely disgusting with pubic hair clump stuck to a wall, what looked like human excrement on the floor and wall ( didn't go close enough to smell it). Room had a very musty damp smell,bed sheets stained,not been cleaned for weeks. Staff were a complete waste of time and hid most of the time. Contacted AGODA through a text system they have,No phone number, and got no place with them …. AGODA service is $#*! …Just like the Hotels,Hostels and accommodation providers that use them ……STAY CLEAR OF THIS OUTFIT …. Or you might regret it!
Agoda took an old visa number( which was expired and frozen becuz of fraud) from my account and with their software they found my new visa information and used it to book a reservation thst I had NOT intended to book. I was just looking for prices. They have not refunded me yet. They are giving me the run around. NOT Acceptable!
I booked Hotel Bilal from the Agoda online site for 25th Jan to Feb 1st 2023 and confirmed my booking, when I reached at Hotel, in the evening they told me that the booking has already been cancelled, and we told the third party. Moreover, they said that they gave some 25 rooms to agoda for bookings but they keep on taking bookings with confirmation status without knowing any status of availability. The question is why they (don't) communicate with clients to avoid any inconvenience. There should be some regulatory authority to monitor such sites.
I generously gave two stars, because the customer service agents where very nice. Unfortunately, they are unable to get you accurate information. I made a reservation, called Agoda, to inquire about the resort and accommodation fee's listed in the booking section.
The first agent called the resort and told me that the resort fee of $385.00 and the accommodation fee of $840, totaling $1,225.00 was a ONE TIME FEE paid to the resort, but there were extra fees (not on Agoda booking site) like daily maid service required by the resort...I called back, spoke to a different agent, she called the resort and told me that the $385.00 resort fee is DAILY, and there is a security deposit paid to the resort (not listed in booking section), but it MIGHT be refunded back to me at check out...she was not 100% sure that the $840.00 accommodation fee was a one time payment, but I could speak to the resort at check in! Yikes! Adding in just the DAILY resort fee made this reservation MORE EXPENSIVE than booking directly with the resort. If you have to add in another $840.00 per day, then it's crazy expensive! HUGE waste of time, two phone calls, took almost an hour...ZERO SAVINGS...WEBSITE IS VERY VAGUE (recurring fees should be clearly stated and a heads up regarding hidden resort requirements/fees should be noted)...will NEVER USE THIS SITE AGAIN...
I will never ever use agoda for booking hotels. I booked a hotel in Ayuthaya OYO 906 bann one love hotel and when I got there they said AC not working they moved me to another building and next morning they bring me to another building and said there is guest in your room. I said what? Why another guest in my room? They had no explanation and they moved me to another building again and the room was $#*! small and uncomfortable. I had to leave and go to book another hotel while already paid for this one. The owner of the hotel with her daughter was rude and not care about customers service. I try to call agoda and can not at all. I strongly don't recommend agoda and that hotel 906 bann one love in Ayuthaya Thailand. The pictures advertised falls room. Please stay away from them!
Last October I booked a room in a 3-stars in Mexico City for 3 nights, but Agoda charged me ca. 10 times the price shown on their homepage (1500 US$ in stead of 150 US$.) Even if it was a clear mistake from their site in converting the amount in foreign currency (Dkk) and even if I cancelled the booking immediately) they refused to give any refund on the ground that it was 'not refundable'. I sent all the documentation but customer service doesn't answer anymore. Therefore I regard the case as a fraud.
I booked couple of hotels in miami, 2 days each for cheaper price compared to other websites. However at checkin, both the hotels charged me 100% more. When reached out to agoda, they said they will talk to hotel management but never received my money. Booking ids ******* and *******.
Their ad deceived my mom. She thought she was booking directly with her hotel. It wasn't discovered until she had selected her date, entered her payment and hit submit. HER CONFIRMATION WAS NOT FOR THE CORRECT DATES! It CHANGED HER RESERVATION DATES TO THAT DAY. Since it's a 3rd party reservation it's non refundable. Wasted $200. I read the same complaints on the Google play app reviews! It's not the app! It's the entire company!

This property was selected keeping in mind that there is an elevator in the building.
75 years old couple has to take the trouble of looking for a new property which resulted into trouble and stress.

Some Agoda cash compensated to make us happy but such compensations do not bring happiness is something that company should realise.
I do not recommend bookings via Agoda to anyone as there is no assurance inspite of complete advance payments.

I book my hotel in dubai with agoda.com. I pay full amount.when i check in then hotel guys told me pay 180 dirham for 6 nights visitor tax. Agoda never inform about that.
I made a booking for a hotel in Venice and it said it was cancellable till March 20, but when my confirmation email came, it said that the booking was non-cancellable! I contacted their customer service and they said they couldn't help because the policy was set by the hotel. All-in-all never will book thru this service again.
I booked a room 5 months away I contacted the hotel who had no problems canceling it but needed to go through Agoda This entailed many emails and call to Canada I received an email from Agoda saying the hotel wouldn't allow cancel Not through.So you have my money and won't return it disgusting.

We were traveling across Europe on our 30 day honeymoon. A month prior to our arrival, we had booked, confirmed and paid for a three night stay in Paris at the Heart of the Latin Quarters. We had visited three other countries and our next stop was in Paris! The night before our flight, we received an email from Agoda that they had been notified by the property management that we requested to cancel our reservation, which we did not. Agoda notified us that they would not cancel and could not cancel the reservation unless they heard directly from us. Thinking everything would fine based on this information, we set out the next morning on 14 hours of travel from Lagos Portugal to Paris France. We arrived in Paris at 1am in the morning. Knowing that we couldn't check in that early we booked a room at the airport hotel. Later that same day we transferred to the Heart of Latin Quarter. Upon arrival we found ourselves stranded outside in the streets with our luggage in the rain! Our Uber driver tried to contact the listed property number but there was no answer. We had no instructions, no code to get in and no phone number to contact Agoda. All we could do was message both parties. However, the automatic message said "it can take up to 48 hours for a response"! After several hours of trying to talk to the locals, a tenant of the building who spoke a bit of English gave us access to the building but there was no way to get in the apartment. As the sun started to set on our first day in Paris, both the property management and Agoda messaged me. The property management said they never gave confirmation of the booking to Agoda and Agoda said the property management canceled the booking without explanation! Obviously no one wanted to step up and take accountability. Both were pointing the finger at the other. Regardless of who's to blame, there need to be some financial compensation other then refunding our reservation. Our 3 day honeymoon in Paris turned into a 3 day nightmare!

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
