I have ordered items for Christmas on Amazon And this company afterpay decided to cancel it didn't let me know until 3 days later that they canceled my order from Amazon. Now I only have less than 4 days to get the items i need for my family. With anyone that is on tight budget it's pain for paiding for everything in the household items they are not gonna get as much because of this app afterpay. When u have started payment still didn't get a refund on the payment u did. Know I will do my best to get

I made a purchase with Amazon that Afterpay declined after taking the money out of my account. After they sent me an email saying they declined the payment they still refused to refund my money until I proved to them I didn't get the items. After filing a complaint with the BBB they refunded some of my money but not what they had took out my account. Terrible service if you ever need a refund. They will do anything and everything to keep from giving you back your money.
Bought shoes returned them, the shoe co. Imediately refunded the full amount to Afterpay after contacting afterpay since I didn't receive a reimbursement for my first payment, afterpay says they issued a "credit to my account" but it still hasn't been recieved into my account 12 days after they "credited" my account. This is a scam I'm sorry to say im so angry and frustrated by their delay tactics.
Tried to write through app to reduce my spending limit. Currently I have 3000. And want to take it to 1000 but guess what, it won't let me. Says it needs to be less than my limit, um hello I'm sure 1000 is less than 3000. Of course you can't ring. This is my 2nd negative on afterpay. Disgusting service
The purchase was on 6/14 - one order of 3 items - which I received yesterday. I am happy with my purchase and will pay for it. HOWEVER, Afterpay has decided it will charge me twice for the same purchase. I have made multiple attempts to contact (which have to be through website - they block emails and phone calls) - and each complaint they pretend to not understand the problem. I have resorted to filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau. I should not have to pay twice for my one order. In my view they are like common thieves, and as soon as they fix the billing I will pay it off and close the account. HORRIBLE. BUYER BEWARE.
Don't waste time your time and energy. I was approved for $600. But after would try to make purchases, they would deny me. This happened several times with no explanation. I had to prove I was real, my address was real ( they swore up and down that city I live in wasn't real) my email address was real, my LEASE TO MY HOUSE. Was real and my drivers license was real and valid multiple times. They tried to say I was fraudulent because in the several emails I sent them, my phone switched to my work email. Their responses we were cut and paste with no real answers if it even if it applied to what I was saying. Just for them to deny me every time even though I was approved for $600. Tried different amounts and different stores. Same dang thing every time. Never even had the chance to try it.
When there is a problem and you need to speak to them the number they list is an out if the country number. When you have an issue they are imposible to reach. I was part of a scam merchant that they supported
Use Klarna they are awesome, reachable, refunds are quick and they dont pay until the items are shipped
Afterpay owes me 114$. It has been a few months now and I have emailed them on several occasions and they are not responding. I placed the first order and cancelled it within the 20 min allowed with crocs. A few mins later I placed another order with my coupon. They were charging me for both orders and even automatically withdrew money off my card for the iorder that never shipped! There is NO PHONE NUMBER OR LIVE CHAT. Had I known that I would have never got in bed with them. Croc responded and told me on an email chain with Afterpay we do not charge until the item is shipped and Afterpay still have not refunded me. Im pissed and reaching out to bbb following this message. Planning to close my account but I want my money!
I used Afterpay for an order returned my items and got my refund back to my bank contacted Afterpay so they can adjust my order they refuse to adjust my order and no way to call someone on the phone. Only luck to get someone on the phone is by submitting a complaint through BBB and someone will pick up the phone and call you. Spoke with a women who stated she is the highest of the highest in Afterpay does not have a boss and stated Afterpay policy has always been they won't adjust your order and refund your money back. That is not true because they have done it plenty of times
I almost feel bad for the 1 star because they have helped me on many occasions. But taking your credit limit down to 0 for being 1 day late. That is horrible... The rich does not need this company. It's the Friday to Friday people who use afterpay. You should have a grace of 3 days at least. If I had money I would not need your services in the first place. I have used this company since mid 2019 and spent thousands with them. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.
Support was horrible. I canceled an order with a merchant and they said they would refund me back my partial payment. They did not honor what they said and never communicated to Afterpay that the order was cancelled. I put out a claim with Afterpay showing email correspondence between me and the merchant and proof that the order was canceled. They did nothing, stating that it was between me and the company and continued to charge my account for an item that I cancelled and never received.
As a result I put out a claim with my bank and reported Afterpay to the Better Business Bureau. This is a horrible/negligent third party company that gives all the power to unscrupulous companies. Valuable lesson, pay your money up front without a third party. If this was just my bank it would have been handled a lot swifter. Beware of these third party companies that don't have the consumers best interest in mind.
I brought 2 dresses from Nordstrom. They kept collecting from my account on 1 returned dress. They kept asking for receipts and copies of my bank account. Nordstrom got involved telling them via email that both dresses were already returned. After multiple emails to Afterpay, after multiple communication via emails they disregarded both Nordstrom and my return receipts. I have no other choice but to contact the Bureau of Business to file a formal complaint. Beware if this company specially when they begin to ask for snap shots of your bank account. They have the available resources to confirm information with the retail stores but they refused cuz they are a bunch on bandits wanting to continue charging on returned items and asking for snap shots of your bank account!
I used them because I trusted them. Completely betrayed them when I ordered from mycalmblanket through them. They don't care that you get scammed only that they get their own due from said companies. Be wary, they don't care about their customers!
I've used Afterpay for quite sometime, HOWEVER if you have an issue/problem they are the WORST! No human body, no phone number to call, only communication is by email and those "time out" if you don't respond in their timeframe. Never will use again.

They changed one card 299.00 and 199.00 the 199.00 was a charge I made and the 299.00 was a return the company sent the information regarding the return. The send card Citi bank these purchases were made tge last of march and charged. I didn't activate Citi card until second week in April. I used after pay for another item and at that time they charged my card 299.00 and the 199.00 they had been already paid in march on Barclays card. They would have gotten away if I hadn't caught it on the statements. You can imagine how many hours I spent in phone straightening this out. I finally got all my money back. But after numerous emails they would never tell me why and how this happened. They had photos of the bank statements. Etc. Now I can't close the account I follow all the prompts but when you choose close account nothing. I don't understand how and why big name banks use this company with all tge complaints against them.
They do not protect their customers. I bought cloths from a stie online and used afterpay. After months and months of emails to afterpay and even afterpay telling me they would refund the money they would not, Every other pay ap protects customers against fraud, they don't choose another pay option,
I had ordered something on Ulta's app and used Afterpay for the payment. The order did not go through and Ulta canceled it. But Afterpay's payment went through. I filed a complaint stop the payment on the order that is canceled and Ulta replied stating that the order was definitely canceled but Afterpay is still charging me. I cannot get them to answer my messages or even fix the problem. It's been a week and I have yet to get any resolution from them.
On 3/15/23, I informed Afterpay that a package was stolen and I have video proof that the package was stolen. I went to the actual company GOAT as well and let them know what happened. GOAT did not want to refund me because the package was already shipped and said delivered. Afterpay did not want to reimburse me either because of GOAT's decision. I went to my bank to dispute the credit and they stated my claim was denied because they don't protect consumers who pay with third parties. So, I'm out $200+ because Afterpay is a third party site. Please use PayPal instead.
I would never recommend or use AfterPay again! My problem is to get my refund! I had to change my bank card because my card was compromised. Immediately I changed my banking information with Afterpay. Recently, I returned an item. Afterpay has refunded me 1 out of 4 payments to my new account number, and the remaining funds were deposited to my old card. It was mentioned I made the mistake and had to keep my information current with them. I repeated several times that it is and that they made the mistake. And I can't understandy why or how because my information is current. The last email from Afterpay is that I have to call the bank and ask for the funds! I cannot get through to them that I didn't make the mistake, and every email is telling me to seek additional help go to the help centre. And that's a joke! I cannot believe they can stay open and treat customers the way they do!

Answer: When afterpay DOES work, it VERY handy and helps out ALOT especially once you DO get to the MINT. As long as you don't have any issues or questions(which, there's USUALLY an issue with shipping or something that SAYS you can use afterpay or its ON afterpay, but you STILL can't purchase it with afterpay). Everything I HAVE received, was VERY GOOD quality.
