I like the promotions and discounts to the email, items are very well described, good quality. I recommend that if you are buying from this site, you buy various items at the time, that way you will avoid the shipping charges. Ex, you buy a shirt, the shipping is like $7, you buy three shirts, the shipping is still $7, so that is the only advice. The items arrive withing 5 days of the purchase. I really like the communication, they send you the transaction information and the tracking number, so you know the progress of the shipment. I recommend it.
5 star perfume but low rating becase my favorite perfume was aeropostales Promise Me. Sadly they stop selling it and I'm all out of perfume. I don't have the slightest clue on what other perfume I would like to buy. I really really really loved Promise Me and am very upset they quit selling it :( Please Please bring it back!
When I was visited the Houma, La store I was greeted by Shelley & Alajah. They provided me with excellent customer service. I purchased a jacket but they helped me by showing me additional items that I could purchase! They were very professional and helpful & I will be returning soon!
I have yet to have a positive experience ordering from them. My last order I had ordered several t-shirts that were on sale. When they arrived 2 weeks later I had looked and 3 t-shirts were missing from the box. They were listed on the list that came inside of the box and they were listed on the invoice... when I called to ask why I didn't receive them I was treated like I was lying. Then after speaking to the supervisor I was told the shirts were out of inventory, which is why I didn't get mine. When I asked for a different colour for a replacement I was told I had to pay full price for each shirt (as apposed to the sale price I paid) and pay additional shipping to have them sent out.
Cannot believe that they processed my order and told me everything was in stock at the time to then just not pack the items because they ran out and couldn't even take a minute to call and let me know.
Love them...my shipment always comes fast...love the deals you can get on line...never had an issue...makes it easy for me to shop for my girls on line....
I had a horrible experience with their shipping, this is the second time it has occurred ans I had to I call to get clarification. I was giving excuses("facts") that were not acknowledged anywhere in the checkout process. A representative insisted that the shipping process consists of the order having to first process which can take up to two business days after placing the order and then they can be shipped out. Nowhere in the checkout steps does it explain such. I only paid $13 for two day shipping which obviously is two business days, it doesn't include weekends nor orders placed after 1 PM which is indeed mentioned upon check out. Turns out that my items will actually arrive four business days after, which I ordered on a weekday and prior to 1 PM.so what sense does it make to be charged for something that is not going to arrive exactly in two business days and does not inform you of so?! It is pathetic and a waste of time and definitely false advertisement along with stealing your money. I have ordered from their chain store and have paid two day shipping and have definitely received it in 2 business days so I do not understand what the difference is and apparently neither do their representatives. I spoke with Pablo who insisted that I was in the wrong and told me otherwise. I definitely will not be ordering from them oline ever again and most likely will never do so at a store either. Unbelievable!
So long story short, I made a purchase of $80. Which was a set and the jogger were absolutely huge to be large size. I contact costumer serv. And they told me to return it I have to pay $7 and I ship them back bc they told me that they gonna do an exchange for a smaller size. Then i receive an email saying that they don't have the size in stock and I have to put a new debit card so they can charge me the shipping again for the replacement, and the extra for the pants too. On top of that I order on November 3 and I pay for fast shipping and they arrive the 27 which is a total mess. I will stay with American Eagle I never have any problem with them even when i return items. AEROPOSTALE TOTALLY SUCK.
I've never experienced worse service in my life, they took my money, then said my order did not exist when I tried to locate it, then never returned any costumer service emails and are the biggest pricks I've ever met. I will never try to give them any of my money ever again in my life. I should've known from the start because their clothes are absolute GARBAGE to begin with. Not worth the time or effort, just go to American Eagle or literally ANYWHERE ELSE. I cannot stress this enough, horrible horrible horrible store, should shut down for good.
Typically I have been very happy with the online order but I placed an order 2 days ago and after I was charged they tell me one of my items is not available... Really what was your website doing while I was reviewing my cart before I processed and submitted my order? I can not understand how this happens. I will be CANCELLING THE ENTIRE ORDER *******486
Whatever you do, never buy anything from this company. Their return policy is a nightmare. I originally bought 7 items from this company and decided to return 3 of the items. Finding their return portal was almost impossible. You have to go digging in their website to find the link. A couple days later, I decided that I actually didn't want 2 more items from my order so I wanted to add them to the initial return request They wanted to charge me an additional $8 for the second return (for a total of $16). Considering I haven't sent the first return, I decided to call to see if they can either cancel the return request so I can make a new one or add those two items to my original request. And this is where $#*! hit the fan. I had to contact them on FOUR different occasions and in the end, I'm just paying the $16 and never using this site or company ever again. The first time I called, I was in the middle of explaining what the issue was and the phone just hung up. No callback nothing. Next I sent an email and they told me to "log out of my account and clear my cookies"!? Called again and they said they'll email me a free return label and I should receive it in 1-2 BUSINESS DAYS. Never got it. The fourth time I officially lost it. The rep was not listening at all. I told him I had already initiated a request and want to cancel it because the last rep said he was going to email me a return label and I never got it. After asking me which items I wanted to request, he proceeded to tell me that "a return request has already been initiated". Yes, that's literally what I said and the reason for this call is because I don't want to pay an additional $16 for returns that haven't been sent yet. Cue more non-listening and me repeating back the initial 5 minutes of this conversation and he sent me a return label that costs $8. At this point, I don't have the energy to call again but this experience has been a total disaster. No wonder this place is going out of business.
Me and my friends went to a location in Aurora Ohio. We were looking at the earrings and earlier we had bought earrings from American eagle that are way more expensive when we checked out at American eagle they asked if we wanted a bag we said no because we could just put them in the purse instead of carrying around a bag. We then go into AéRopostale and look at their earrings seeing they are much cheaper we pull out the other earrings comparing them to theirs and decided to leave the store and return to American eagle to return the earrings we had purchased we then realized we had forgotten the wallet in AéRopostale. We returned the earrings and go back to AéRopostale to buy their earrings and get the wallet we then entire the store and the lady who was working told us to get out for "stealing" we had not stole anything they were staying we put earrings in the purse and walked out first of all they are American eagle earrings and we tried telling them that and showing proof but they did not even look at our receipt second of all if they saw us stealing wouldn't you have stopped us right then and there not let us walk out so then we had gotten yelled at to get out of the store and we were not able to get the wallet back.
This place has the clothes i love! I don't know about online shopping but the stores are wonderful! Always has items in stock that i need and service is great as well!
Hello I live in Fort Drum and I decided to go to the Destiny mall and I wanted to exchange some excercise pants for my daughter and when I arrived at the register one of the employees named Julia was treating me very badly and I disliked her attitude
Don't EVER SHOP EARLY for Christmas. Because I was "outside their return policy" they IGNORED the receipt I had and gave me the LOWEST PRICE since September and ONLY store credit. I will NEVER shop there again. I had the receipt and the clothes still had tags and was in the original bag I got this policy is RIDICULOUS!
Black Friday items just got cancelled and I won't be refunded for 30 days. This is not right and I will be short Christmas gifts.
My card was charged 300 dollars for my order I was then refused the items and told that I could make a separate payment to receive the items that I had just paid for... I as them told I couldn't speak to a supervisor and one would not call for another three days... in addition the price that I agreed to pay was increased twice without my approval NEVER AGAIN!
I placed an order with Aeropostale online. I never receved a confirmation email that my order had been placed. I waited to see if my order would arrive after a week and a half. No order. I placed another order and received confirmation of the order then mysteriously I received another confirmation email about my first order. I immediately emailed Aeropostale and asked them to stop payment on the first order. NO ONE conctacted me back. Days later money was taken out of my account for both orders. When I contacted someone in customer service about refunding my money i was told that they never received an email from me and that I would have to wait to see about getting a refund. EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Ridiculous and rude customer service. I made an order and on the same day, I wanted to cancel it. As there is no "cancel order button" like the website says there supposedly is, I had to call customer service to cancel my order.
Turns out, Aeropostale does not handle cancellations the same way that every other efficient company does. Their representative has to send a "request to cancel". You can't simply cancel an order, no, their representative has to "request" it. If you order online, even if it's on the same day, there's no guarantee that the order can be canceled. It takes 1-2 business days for the cancel request to be accepted or declined by their company, for whatever reason they choose.
Ridiculous thing is, the two representatives I talked to were hesitant about even sending their stupid "cancel request". Instead, I got "You can return the items after you get them" and "You can exchange the items later". Why would I do that? If the order hasn't been processed or shipped yet, it makes the most sense to cancel. The company would rather waste resources shipping the items than cancel the order. Aeropostale would rather you "return the items later", instead of cancelling the order before it ships. Their representatives make no sense. I won't be ordering online from this store again.
I placed an online order through Aeropostale.com on 10/25. On that same date, one hour later, I received an email from Aeropostale stating that my item was still in my cart, and that the order was not complete. At that time I logged back into the website, and re-placed the order. I then received 2 emails confirming 2 different orders. I immediately logged onto their customer service chat and requested that the duplicate order be cancelled. I was given a Request ID# of ******* to cancel my order. On 10/27,2 days later, I was sent an email stating that the order had already been placed for shipping, and could not be cancelled. I found this curious because I cancelled the order within 5 minutes of placing the duplicate order, and this email was being sent 2 days later. The company informed me that I would be sent a pre-paid label for a return, but that I would not be reimbursed for the shipping fees. I was never sent the pre-paid label, and I do not feel that I should have to pay the shipping fees when I was tricked into making a duplicate order. I feel that they were being deceptive by waiting 2 days to respond to my cancellation request, and then did not send out the label so that I could return the item.
Online experience was normal compared to any other online stores. But beware and read their return policy before thinking that you can return products hassle-free. I thought I could order some jeans, and if they don't fit, then I can return them to the store. HOWEVER, The returning process was horrendous.
When I went to the store, the manager shared that they only accept in-store purchases, and online purchases must be returned by mail. When returning by mail, they subtract $7 from the return credit to cover for the shipping fees.
On my part, I forgot to pack another item that I intended to return, so I went to the store to ask about if I could at least return it for store credit. However, since I included the packing slip when I returned my other items, I did not have a physical receipt. I assumed from returning items at other stores, then maybe they could use my order number to look up the information. The associate had me call customer service to obtain transaction number, THEIR OWN STORE NUMBER, and date of purchase. Then hand all this information to them so they can start to process my return for STORE CREDIT. From other retail store experiences, they at least could find all the listed information from a confirmation or order number, since it was an online purchase. So I am feeling so confused why it takes so much work to return online times at the store.
With this experience, I am just bewildered by how much work it is to return online items and the inconsistency to help return items at the physical store. One retail associate has told me it was not possible to return online items to the store, and then another retail associate told me it was possible, but difficult without a packing slip.
I have no complaints shopping online on their store website. Unfortunately, the returning process has left an impression that makes me hesitant to buy anything from their store (online and in-store) since I have to put in so much effort to return their items.
