If I can leave 0 stars I would was transferred several times to simply clarify the orders under my so call free installation and repeated my issue at hand simply to be transferred finally asked for the Floor manager Tasha and she was extremely rude and refused to help yet spent all her time making excuses and argumentative as I simply wanted the issue at hand clarified and taken care off I gave them a second chance just to simply mess up again

I signed up for ADT and it has been a nightmare cancelling. Their rate has doubled in three years. Last I checked, inflation was not 100%. They will only lock a rate with a contract and have told me they can negotiate it, but everytime I call the people that answer will not transfer me to the correct department. Meanwhile, they keep notifying me about the alarm system despite confirming its cancelled. They take a payment after cancelling and when I called they said they will refund it, but then credit it aganist the 'balance due' that they won't let you discuss. The unauthorized payment they took after cancelling already processed, and yet they send a bill saying its 30 days past due. I have asked repeatedly for a manager to call, have been told they will call in an hour three times, or at a specific time, because its apparently my job to talk to the department that handles it, not billing or customer services job. And each time they did not call. Their service is bad, their practices are worse. They lie, cheat, and steal.
ADT ALARM SYSTEM misleads us customers with lies and promises. And will not solve any issue your having. They will just BILL you more than you order even if your system is installed and not working. When you call them you will be given the run around. There Technician's are LAZY and LIARS! Very unprofessional just like the company! FRAUD FRAUD all around.
ADT installed a system in a house I was renting 15 months ago. It was understood with the sales rep that I was building another home and would only need the system for the year. The owners of the rental did not want ADT. I found out today when I went to cancel the service that they installed a $2000 system and I was paying for it and still owe them $750 for a system which I cannot transfer and will not be using. Further they say they have an electronic signature from me agreeing to buy this system and pay for it for years to come. I never saw or read such a contract.
I was lied to, misrepresented and treated horribly. I've been an ADT customer for 22 years. They will not negotiate with me unless I tell them I agreed to this egregious deal that has absolutely NO benefit to me.
Now they are referring it to their legal team. Also, this system has not been working properly for the last year and I have called them about it. I've paid over $500 this year for their system that doesn't even work. If you have a suggestion on how to deal with them please advise. After being their customer for 22 years, I was treated like garbage and I would never trust them again.
This is absolutely the worst, most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They use their sales tactics to sell you the system and get you to sign a 3 year contract which they don't tell you about. That should tell you everything you need to know. Any company that needs to force you into a contract is not a company that prides itself on coustomer satisfaction. All of their products are simple google tech which you can buy online but they sell you at an inflated price. Their installers are completely incompetent and installed all of the window sensors wrong so anytime we open the blinds the alarm gets tripped. They charged us for a bunch of things we didn't install and when we called to correct it every incompetent representative just passed us around for an hour and then eventually hung up on us. It was a worse experience than if they had no service at all. I thought I was dealing with a professional security company that could protect my home but I ended up with con artists. I have no faith in this company to give security when they can't even handle minor issues. I wish I could cancel but I'm stuck in this lowly contract.
Why we go thru this same problems with sensor at home. Bad enough deal with rudeness of people that work for ADT security company, especially customer service. How hard is it to take information? How hard is it to set appointment? Does not matter how many times explain your situation customer service. What you need get done. Give all information too why ask again again. Feels like really don't listen at all. Why? But Some people need get fire from jobs. You don't like your job then find another job that your happy with and let other people get hired that do better job than you. Customer service tell you they don't mail there sensor they mail which they do. Make someone feel that we are lying about that sensor been mailed to house since it's virtual appointment by technician. Really upsetting go thru so much nosense why? I work nights and most hate is alarm system that goes off when trying get rest before I go work. Nothing knock of sensor of alarm for it to go off. Because a Five sensor issues for no reason at all to go off one after they other after they other. Miss another days at work. Because this happening to many times now. Already 1 year and six months and. Same old thing this system Doesn't work properly. Do I recommended ADT security company "NO" we had patient enough deal with nosense time after time but now NO! Would I renew my contract "NO" Yes I am really upset and mad thru this nonsense again. ADT security company not same what it use to be back then. This is short story what we been thru... ADT customer service.
At no point did anyone mention a contract. I flip homes and call to notify them of the sale and they tell me I owe them $1400 for the remaining contract. What a SCAM!
This company refused to cancel my service despite being outside of the contract window. I had to make 4 different attempts to cancel my monitoring services over the course of 10 months. They continued to charge me and each attempt was met with incompetent reps that seemed to be reading from prompt cards instead of helping me with the issue. Long conversations with redirection and excuses on why they can't do anything with reassurances that this time it will be different. Once the company actually cancelled my service I was told I needed to pay 95$ to bring everything current and it would be done. No. 4 months later I receive a collection notice for $85. ADT will continue to charge you and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. There's no action you can take. If you are currently a customer then when you go to cancel don't do it over the phone. Do it over email so there is a paper trail and you can substantiate your claim. I lost over $700 to this company plus several $25 returned payment charges due to someone changing my account information after my first cancelation attempt. I just paid the collection and pray this is over.
ADT would not change out my outdated system without increasing my bill, the service tech just walked away!
After stopping my service, they continue to charge me. Stay away from these thieves!
This is the absolute WORST alarm company of all time. We used ADT Blue and when we moved residences our hub wouldn't connect. Despite countless hours on the phone with their outsourced customer service we were unable to connect and paid for service for months with ZERO connection and no one I spoke with at ADT had a shred of concern that we were paying for a service we weren't receiving. When I finally got so fed up I had to cancel service they refused to waive the cancellation fee and charged me $1,500 unless I agreed to stay with ADT. Don't waste your time, money, or energy on this awful organization.
Stay far far away from ADT! Unless you know with absolute certainty that you will not move during your contact period with ADT DO NOT get their service. ADTs relocation department is a scam! They spew lie after lie and then you're forced to spend hours on hold them hours arguing with other departments for their mistakes. I KNEW this would happen and told the jerk at the relocation center it would. Now I have to spend hours to reverse a $1200 cancellation charge for a cancellation I didn't want simply because they said it wasn't possible to transfer service to the new address! ADT SUCKS AND YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
I request for service over the phone and got a quote. When the tech came out to install I decided to add equipment but it cost more that I wanted to pay for a 24 month contract. He told me to call and ask for extended contract. I did the next day. I was sent a revised statement for 60 month contract and reduced fees for the equipment that were installed. I called back to the office 2 days later to make sure the adjustment was made. No one has no clue to what I was talking about. I emailed the document to a Customer Relations rep who investigated. She said they can't make change to my original agreement. I'm still in my 3 days grace period and they don't want to honor it. Offering me 2 months of non pay. NO. The next reason they said my credit was not approved, then said the flexible plan did not allow changes. LIES. They take more than the 3 days to investigate and trying to hold me hostage to a contract. I requested a change because the $ was more than I was expecting to pay in the 24 mo.
They charge you for cancelling for ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY LEAVE even they they say they don't. Now I have to engage a lawyer, send demand letters for all recoded calls and argue over the phone with a representative that tells me " I have no grounds," (as if he is a judge and can determine that)- idiot.
My son sold his home due to a 4 year military commitment, they will not waive the $653 cancellation fee. This is wrong on so many levels. Not to mention … I transferred the freaking service to a lake house of ours to avoid the cancellation fee. They are still getting our money. This company has no morals. ADT does not know "the right thing to do" and lies to get service "transferred"- when it's just a new service and new commitment. How can I trust them to be there in a emergency when they 1) don't have equal and fair pricing ( I have 3 homes. And the cost varied considerably and was more expensive in my homes located in lower income areas). 2) they do not honor military deployment cancellations - even thought they are supposed to 3) I was told if I transferred my service to my other home there would not be a disconnection fee.
They care about your money… not your safely and security
My company has been with ADT for the last 21years but apparently when i tried to cancel my contract I'm still in a contract until 2025! I was not responsible for any call outs or service/equipment except for the back up battery, which i fully understand. But for the last 2 years they have tried to charge me for call outs replacement keypads (that have never worked since installed and still don't). I currently have an invoice for nearly $800 for substandard equipment. When you try to call ADT they're rude, speak over you and cut you off if you argue a good case. DO NOT USE ADT COMMERCIAL look elsewhere

The system didn't work sins I am on 5G and they are not
When I asked to send it back for a refund sins I only got the system two weeks prior they refused sins they said I ordered it more then 30 days ago and they don't take responsibility for delivery delays
So I lost all the money I payed

I was so unhappy with the customer service representative she over talk me she tried to explain that I got charged double for 2 months and called it prorating finally she agreed to return half of that in five to seven days I had to wait on the phone for 30 minutes 30 minutes unbelievable to talk to someone that was incredible all the while while listening to a recording telling me how great ADT was and how many customers they have if they have so many customers perhaps they should hire more customer service Representatives with better attitudes as soon as my contract is up I am done with you ADT

We are a law firm and former customer of ADT. This is a warning: if you prepay your account quarterly, and then terminate your account, they will steal whatever you paid them and have left on the account. They will not refund the money, saying it is too bad but they wiped your records. If you have been similarly cheated by ADT, please contact our office INVESTIGATIVE LAW OFFICES, P. C. We are gathering complaints to file an action against the company at the state and federal level.
It's a spiderweb! You'll never reach the end of your contract! They LIE, LIE & LIE! Don't believe nothing their reps tell you, they just want the sell, trust me. They got my bank account immediately for the remainder of my contract the very next day I told them I was moving. They offered me a portable system but yet charged me for the balance owed on my old system when the rep told me that my old account will be null & void since I'm going with the portable one and yes, you never can reach anybody and when you do, all they do is LIE! STAY AWAY FROM THESE FOLKS
I had ADT for 6 years. Earlier this year my living room camera stopped working. I called ADT, I was informed that I have to pay for some to come and fix the problem. I immediately wanted to cancel my subscription, I was told that I will have to continue paying till 11/24/23. So I continued to pay. On 9/25/23@ 455pm I called spoke to Jackie who informed me that I have to call on 11/24/23, that is when my contract expires. I called on Black Friday was informed that the billing office is closed. I called on the morning Monday spoke to Sofie, then supervisor and canceled my account. Today I received a bill for December. Santiago hung the phone on me. After requesting to speak to a supervisor. He tells me it's unnecessary for me to talk to a supervisor. Very RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They don't listen but they want you to pay no questions asked. ADT please be careful. They will not protect your security. NOTHING BUT SCAMMERS! Buyer BEWARE!
Answer: Difficult to reach them and even more difficult to reach someone who can assist accurately. A lot of billing hassles.
