Highly encourage everyone to take their business else where. They are great at taking money but be very wary on the off chance you need to return something. I even paid for their vip 360 and have had a return pending for almost 30 days which over 20 emails to their support team. Had to escalate to the BBB. Highly encourage you to look at their rating there! Wish I did before purchasing.
Just tried the Panasonic 100-300 zoom yesterday on my newly acquired (used) OM-D E-M10 III. Saw and photographed a Cooper's Hawk at long range. Easily identified on the photo. Very pleased.
Other items are fine: SD cards, UV filter, extra battery.
Adorama shipped my product quickly and it arrived in perfect condition, however the packaging was terrible. The product clearly did not fit in the box that was used, so extra cardboard was taped to the end to try to cover it. Only the tape did not hold so it nearly fell apart and arrived with packing material sticking out. Upon opening, there was hardly any padding material used at all. Again, thankfully the product arrived in perfect condition regardless, but I'm not excited about using this site again if I need to be this concerned about the condition of the packing and product when ordering.
I've used Adorama for many purchases. Not, for anything bad about Adorama, I've tended to go first to B&H but when I've used Adorama, the merchandise has arrived promptly and in the odd occasion where there was some issue, their customer service responded lightening fast and shopped the package overnight at no extra charge.
I have no hesitation in recommending Adorama. I'm giving it 5 stars since they have a comprehensive stock of photographic items and are reliable. If there are mistakes, they deal with it and don't create a hassle. That, in itself is worth the 5 stars!

I sent my merchandise back over 3 weeks ago. Promised a refund several weeks ago. Then it went to a store credit. Called back, then I received 3 emails apologizing and said wait 2 days. Now they refund my Visa card but not my Andoroma card which I put the balance on. Now there is a $30 late fee. Had to make a payment just now. Takes over 72 hours to get a customer service email acknowledged
I called the company to ask a question about stock inventory of an item. The person on the phone was rude and unhelpful. They did not want to help me understand when the electronic device would be in stock. Then told me to go shop somewhere that had it in stock. Blatant disregard of customer service. Highly suggest giving your money to a different company that actually cares about customer service.
Purchased a $1,100.00 telescope for a Christmas/birthday gift. Turn out only box one of two was delivered. Adorama said they couldn't send box two out even though they forgot to send it out, L had to return box 1 and then repurchase the item. Now that i want to repurchase the item the price has been changed to over $1,600.00.
While communicating with them they just would not listen to what i had to say.
This is a ridiculous company, any other company would have apologized and sent box 2.
Searched for the Glow modifier (used) on Google and got results including the one pictured below that clearly shows the items as having free 2-day shipping and zero shipping charges. Clicked on the link, added to my cart and at checkout, a shipping charge of $15.20 was added. Contacted customer service via chat and was told - repeatedly - that only new items qualified for free shipping. Sent her link to the search results as well as this screenshot and still got the same reply. She said that if I had an issue, I needed to talk to marketing as she was sales -- duh, I was trying to buy this item as it was advertised. So instead of deducting the shipping charge, processing my order and then her contacting marketing to let them know that there was an issue she put the 'blame' and legwork on me, the customer. Posted this on their FB page and a different person responded asking me to send the link to her email address - which I did but it was already in the chat transcript so no sure why she did not have access to it - and got a reply that she would forward to marketing. So, at the end of the day, Adorama does not live up to what they advertise - clearly advertise - which makes everything else they state suspect, especially condition of items.
So happy on how adorama handle my transaction on black friday sale the service was top notch. I was incredibly delighted on how much savings I had this time of the year. Been meaning to upgrade my lighting gear and Adorama has the very item that I wanted and drooling to use for months. I essentially bought a lot of stuff in incredible discount.
Cheap prices and a very robust selection of equipment makes this the best place IMO to buy cameras and lenses. Do a search for coupons and you can get free shipping. Also sign up for their email mailing lists to get some of their specials. They have a very generous return policy as well.
I like the great website design that makes purchasing items easy. I was easily able to make my first purchase from them through the website without getting stuck at some point. They processed and dispatched my order in time and it arrived in good condition. It was exactly what I expected.
When I need camera gear, I turn to Adorama a majority of the time because they have what I need in stock and have some of the best deals as well. Oftentimes they will offer free expedited shipping on items that I order, and their delivery estimate is always accurate.
I just wanted to share my experience with Adorama. I bought a sony camera and there were some problems with it transferring photos to my computer. I called and was easily able to send back the camera and get a new one. All within 1 week. It is easy to find a cheap place to buy things online but a relief to find reputable websites that have good customer service.
I think it's interesting that 1/2 of the reviews here are one star.

I tried to cancel an order approximately 30 minutes after placing it. I didn't receive a response so I sent a second email. Their response was the item had shipped and they couldn't cancel.
They charged my credit card and here it is 5 days later and there still isn't any active tracking information.
You may pay more for something someplace else but the couple of bucks is worth it to avoid taking a change with this company.

I spent almost three thousand dollars on a camera that never arrived. I contacted customer service they informed me they would have to contact the shipper and start a claim. I was told once claim was I approved I would receive a refund or replacement. The claim was approved and I have not received a refund or replacement. They have not responded to emails. When I contact customer service they say someone will call me back which never happened. Do not shop here total scam. Stole money from both me and the shipper.
I was very excited to order a good amount of product from Adorama July 2022 (Over $5,000 USD). The order was placed on hold because Adorama could not verify my shipping address. I live in an apartment building so, yes, the property is certainly not registered in my name; however, this is literally the address on my state-issued Driver's License (but Adorama won't accept this as a verification method). I have a lease agreement stating I live here during this time (but Adorama won't accept this as a verification method). No -- Adorama would only take a landline phone. We are in 2022 -- do they not realize that a lot of us, dare I stay the majority of customers, do not pay for a redundant landline in this day and age. Seems their verification system is ancient. Would not recommend using them.
I referred to your website from a friend! It did not disappoint! Very fast shipping and great communication! Even received my lens a day earlier than I expected! I've already used my lens and it works great, just what I was wanting!
I love ordering from Adorama. Their website is easy to navigate and they offer great products at great prices. I really like that they sometimes offer free items with a purchased product such as lens filters and cleaning kits. Adorama ships really quickly and the products are always packaged securely to avoid damage.
Very unsatisfactory and a nightmare of an experience. Would not recommend company or purchase anything from company again. Poor customer service and lack of truthful communication with customer on progress of claim. Purchased a camera and received a camera box with the camera missing. Reported immediately and took videos and pictures of package received. Customer service was called almost daily and the generic response of "we will contact you in 1-2 business days" was received but they did not call or attempt to contact customer back. The customer went to adorama in New York to address concerns and had to wait over 6 hours in lobby with no resolution. Customer had to wait Over 2 months before a refund and resolution was received. Customer had to get their bank involved and after the bank mentioned possible legal proceedings, a refund was made promptly. Customer had to pay $120 in shipping for this ordeal.
For the second time, out of 4, Adorama has messed up my order and is making a federal case out of fixing it! I ordered 2 two-packs of Lexar SD cards and they sent only one but charged for both. It has been about 10 days of back and forth and they still can't just put the second set in an envelope and send it. It's simple - they left the item out of the box and all they have to do is ship it. Instead I get emails telling me they are checking into it. B&H Photo would have just sent the missing item on the same day they received the message that the order was incomplete. Never any questions or hassles with them. Will not order from Adorama again no matter what the deal. Customer service is terrible.
