Wish measurements, color and better descriptions/care instructions were available. Have ordered several girls dresses (all VERY nice) and girls shoes/boots, several craft kits (good value) Also lovely Spode mugs (capacity shown) and more. Ordering a single item can be expensive with delivery charge.
Shipping time alone is a low score. Heading to Hawaii tomorrow and ordered clothes 1 month in advance - still have not arrived. Will not order again, it was very hard to get any status update until week 3 which then it just said it was preparing for shipment.
Why bother? Just use Amazon. These days, any company that can't figure out how to get your stuff to you in 2-3 days deserves to be put out of business. I've been waiting more than 3 weeks for a simple shirt. Never again.
Thank you requesting my review of Zulily. I've truly enjoyed my shopping experience. Easy online ordering & credit card payments. Excellent customer service. Only wish shipping was faster, however I understand grouping items together helps keep reduced cost of items. However I've been waiting almost a month on an order, which seems too long of a wait. Also, why am I receiving different shipping amounts? Has there been an increase in shipping rates? Thanks!
I look forward to my daily dose of Zulily. Each day the site has new sales on just about everything a woman and her family needs at lower prices. Just today a high-end face cream I use was $60. Less on Zulily vs. Sephora. There is just so much to choose from as far as clothes, beauty, home, kitchen wares and DIY. I've ordered from them for a few years now and of the many, many items bought, I've only been disappointed a few times by the quality of an item, usually because it's not the material or fit I had hoped for. Shipping is slow given the merchandise isn't shipped by them but by the product makers, but they do have faster shipping options if you need something in a few days. Overall, it's addictive because they have so much to offer and new deals every day.
I have been buying online since 2002 - was an early adopter of ebay. I have to say that this site sells clothes of terrible quality, to top it off, the two items did not fit, one was too big the other too small, size charts were used for ordering.
I tossed them both out not even considered good enough for the donation box, didn't even go to the trouble of trying to return them, I was so disgusted.
I order from China, and other Asian countries, from all over the world on a regular basis and haven't had the same product experience.
If I could give less than one star I would.
The reason we need government regulations in industries is to protect us from Internet companies who sell fake items. I ordered two dresses from Zulily. They are made of Incredibly strange and cheap material- on par with the same material Halloween costumes are made out of- built to last a few wears and will fall apart when you wash it. I am so angry at myself right now, and I feel I have no recourse. No more on-line shopping from weird companies that have the taint of a scam. Let my pain be a lesson.
Cheap is right. Quality terrible. I ordered maternity, baby and toddler clothing. All are of very poor quality. Would send back, if I could. Order came in three different shipments and only one of those arrived in time for Christmas (order was placed on Dec. 17). Will NOT buy from site again.
This company can't possibly last long. I am still waiting for my order from 3 weeks ago and they just told me it was going to be another 2 weeks. Yet they did not have a problem charging my credit card the day I placed the order. Will never shop here again.
The 5-star ratings on this site are clearly coming from a Zulily rep. So sad.
The complaints about shipping are true especially if you live on the east coast. Although they do tell you an approximate SHIP date of your item and not the arrival date. I have ordered from several times for my children and will only order things that are not time sensitive. But they're sales can be really good and they have opened me up to a variety of brands. I like ideeli just think the shipping surcharge should be cheaper or at least give you free shipping for next 24 hrs and not until midnight that day as I do majority of my online shopping in evening.
The website is actually pretty good. So is the app. But how on earth can a company like this work long term when 1. There is NO returns allowed and 2. Shipping takes over a month to receive. I ordered a few things on 2/19 and my updated status as of today (3/1) says that it will get to Zulily on 3/11! That means I will get it in what, April? I know the stock price is doing great, but I'd sell it now. They won't be able to maintain customers. No more ordering for me. Now I'm freaked out the quality will be crap too.
Zulily is an intermediary. They are not the manufacturer, so complaints about quality and sizing are not relevant. Research the brand you are thinking about buying elsewhere on the web to find out, for example, whether it runs large or small, or whether quality is an issue.
Of the literally dozens of purchases I've made on Zulily, I've been satisfied with 90%. The remaining 10% (which didn't fit or didn't flatter me) I simply wrote off as the cost of deep discounts and no returns/refunds. I gave those items away to friends they DID fit.
I've also used zulily to purchase gift items for small children; excellent, original ideas like educational kits.
Yes, you will wait. No, you cannot return things. Yes, you should do your research.
But when you're buying a pair of jeans that retailed for $175 for $38, and they fit? Bliss.
Ordered items for children that were flagged with the red gift box indicating would be received for Christmas. Items not yet delivered and tracking information is incomplete so called customer service for status. Per CSR will not make delivery date advertised and will be no deliveries on Christmas day, the soonest expected delivery day will be upcoming Monday. When shared disappointment per CSR hears that a lot especially regarding their slow shipping. There was no offer of anything as an apology or otherwise. When told CSR likely will not order from them again, the response was hear that a lot. Guess one time purchases keep them in business and customers are a disposable entity.
I have ordered from zulily about four or five times. I guess that's how long it took me to learn that the items features are garbage. I've never been happy with a zulily purchase. The clothing items were just awful- definitely looked good on the models but once received and held up, I questioned if there was anyway they could be the same item. Ordered a pair of sunglasses- hated them, ordered a pair of Toms boots- not only did I hate them but there was a problem with the ordering so I was sent two pairs of boots and charged twice, a mistake that took months for them to rectify. One of the dresses I ordered was never received (probably best) and they did refund that after almost four months. Orders can take exceptionally long to receive as well. I will not order anything in the future, too bad because it seemed like such a neat thing.
Unimaginably horrible customer service. Zulily implied I was stealing merchandise by denying delivery - refused to refund for non-delivery. Courier service in Italy unreliable - they have major follow-through problems. Customer service reps mostly rude and condescending. For a now public company it is unacceptable behavior. They are the opposite of what Amazon is..
I made a first purchase from this site and received my order yesterday and I have to say for the price and wait time it was absolutely not worth it. I ordered 2 of the printed tunics they usually have on sale regularly. The quality was very cheap and something you can get from one of those cheap street shops for $10-15. I will never buy from Zulily again. Photos looked really great though as I'm sure there are tricks to make them look high-end. However the actual products look and feel really really cheap. My tunics had a certain kind of awful dye smell too. I'm tempted to return them but don't know if it's worth the hassle.
I have ordered several times from Zulily. I needed to return jeans that were much smaller than the size indicated. Zulily allowed me to return them. I received store credit which I was able to use. I won't order pants from them because the sizes can be unpredictable. I feel more confident ordering tops, dresses, & home goods. I once waited for an item that was eventually cancelled. They gave me the option to keep waiting or get my money back. I chose the money. This has happened when I have ordered from other stores as well. The biggest thing to considered is that delivery can take quite a long time. This can be frustrating but it is part of the deal. Don't order something that you need in a timely fashion. You get what you pay for quality wise.
My self and my sister-in-law shop on the site daily and have been using it for the last 3 years. Almost all of my Christmas presents this year were bought off Zulily. I did shop ahead of time because I do know that packages are often a little slow to arrive, however they are exactly what I'm looking for! I am always a little nervous about buying clothes online but everything else is amazing, and anytime I've had any packages that I felt like we're taking too long to arrive I had excellent customer service and receive my package Within the Zulily had. Set with me originally or I was compensated with site credits.
I am happy with all my purchases, great deals, if you know what you are buying. Yes, you don't get instant gratification, takes a little while to receive, but if you are not in a hurry, it is fine.
Bought a lot of infant high end stuff, a lot cheaper, and really cute.
Only one item, was not available, didn't ship, emailed them, they emailed me an apology immediately, then later told me they could not get the item, refunded me on my cc, and gave me a store credit to boot.
No complaints here, from Canada. Cheap shipping and mostly no duty.
I'm going to include photos because it's hard to explain.
My mother ordered from this site. I never would because the clothing is horrendously unstylish and suitable only for mothers and babies as far as I'm concerned. She sent me the dress to wear to some family function because she doesn't trust me to dress appropriately. I find this even more laughable after receiving said dress. The stupid company can't even make sure their front accessories are sewn on properly! The "button" piece dangles from a string from the front of the dress, but was sewn on improperly, probably by a 10 year old in a sweat shop of some foreign country. Don't support this business. Just say no, and walk away.
Answer: Zulily has awesome customer service! I have nothing bad to say about them! Definitely worth ordering from them... I have been happy every time (& I use it a lot!)
Answer: I have never ordered shoes from them but I agree that they likely vary according to brand. Contrary to other comments (that I am very suspicious of...) I have never waited a long time and the quality has always been as shown. There are so many rip-off sites out there and I suspect some hire people to post phony negative reviews on the 'good' sites. I do not recommend searching for cheaper products - you'll end up on a bogus, cheap site. I now research every site name and sift through comments - its exhausting but has saved me from spending money on sites that were not good.
Answer: Got money to burn? Order from Zulily. There isn't enough room on the Internet to list all the reasons you should NOT order from them!
Answer: Nope... no returns accept and good luck on getting a refund. Stay away from this site.
Answer: It could be a week or it could be 3 months. But my advice would be not to order at all. The sizes are never right (a small may fit someone that wears a large or it may be too small for an infant) and the quality sucks (the fabric on a dress I bought is so thin you can see through 4 layers). STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!
Answer: Wrong size, no return policy. Beware don't order from them
Answer: Sorry I don't know the answer, but it could explain why everything is so cheap
Answer: Yes, it may take that long, but they are up front about that on the item description page. I have never had a problem with them.
Answer: Let me just put this out there. The people who bought things from Zulily (and are unhappy with their purchases), probably didn't research the brand before they bought it. Think of Zulily like Marshalls or TJMaxx. That's what Zulily is, in online form. I just bought a hoodie from them, and researched the brand before I bought it. The particular hoodie was being discontinued, so they were selling it very cheaply. I bought it, and it is the real deal, originally $89. So research the brand. And don't expect your purchase quickly. They wait until they have enough orders to bulk purchase (another reason why their prices are low), before they buy. So it'll be a few weeks before you get it. I hope this helps.
Answer: If you bought them from Zulily, you might see about making your granddaughters feet smaller. I'm sure that's easier than dealing with Zulily.
Zulily has a rating of 2.3 stars from 4,526 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Zulily most frequently mention store credit, return policy and poor quality. Zulily ranks 9th among Daily Deals sites.
