I wrote a review about my disastrous visit to a dentist I booked with zocdoc but guess what Zocdoc did not post it. Avoid this app! I use the google or yelp reviews now.
Fantastic group of Medical Doctors and Specialists treating anyone who desires a general treatment Medical Doctor, or one who needs specialized individual care for the treatment relating to Acquired Immune deficiency syndrome. Awesome staff, medical lab on premises and outstanding attention to detail quality medical care in Dallas and surrounding Metro plex.
What a great way to find excellent providers! And, your health chart keeps you informed as to your annual wellness checks! Would definitely recommend!
I don't have a zocdoc account already, sign up immediately. It's a fantastic service that makes scheduling and managing doctor's appointments sooo much easier.
Also received a call from manager at ZocDoc explaining new business model going into effect this October. Charging $35 per new patient (yes - I understand its new patients only) is beyond insulting - its highway robbery. Considering we get reimbursed an average of $60-75 or less per new patient (and many patients do not need follow up appointments) this is beyond cost-prohibitive. Charging 40-60% of our total fees is ludicrous. I am all for pay-per-click pricing - but come on Zocdoc - pick a reasonable fee! ($5?). Plus, there is the aspect of fee-splitting, which Im sure ZocDocs legal team has worked out - but we wont even go there. And having to audit our bills to see if we were billed for a new patient that was seen previously, but who checked off new by mistake - is expecting too much from our staff. I know countless Docs who are now scrambling to find an alternative by the Fall. Who knows if it exists - but I know my practice can in no way sustain this type of pricing. Shame on you ZocDoc! You are going to lose your most loyal, and previously vocally supportive customers.

The entire experience was easy and much less daunting than anticipated. I had struggled to find a doctor and zoc doc makes it pretty easy once you know what you're looking for.
Its great! We recently moved here and needed new doctors. So far we've found two of them through Zoc Doc and it would have been much more difficult with out them.
Your service is great, but you just don't have enough doctors that I'm looking for. Just can't find a Gastroentologist in the Cranberry Township area... or other doctors trying to locate...
Made an appt with my doctor on your site. Got there, no appt. Did not transfer to their computers. Waited for 1 hr to get squeezed in. Disappointed and angry!

We are a new Psychiatric start up. When I came across Zocdoc it sounded like a tool we could use. I actually liked the amount of time needed to set up our clinic. I thought is was a good thing to weed out clients that were not qualified for our clinic. That is where any good thoughts of Zocdoc ended. In 5 months we have yet to receive a qualified lead. We still have to pay for each lead they forward to us. The following is a response to Zocdoc when they sent me a request for feedback.
Every single lead sent to us is not a patient that my clinic can not intake. We rudely State that we do not accept Medicaid Medicare or commercial insurance. Yet. Every lead that you have sent and to make this whole relationship sickening is that you still charge me for these unqualified leads. Every time I call you and I am told that we do our best to only send qualified patients. I have set everything on our site according and as to what your coordinator required. I am still charged for your inability to deliver a qualified patient. I has gotten to the point that I cringe and get a visceral response because I see Zocdoc notification and I know the amount of time that I need to give on your lead, time that I do not have and time I will subsequently have to spend talking with zocdoc that would be better spent banging my head against the wall

They charge providers $110 per patient even though patients don't show up to the appointment or if the appointment was done by a spammer. Will never use zocdoc again.

Seems like Drs are more interested in money than helping you. If you don't have insurance. They don't want you even if you pay up front. I also had a dr be a no show and gave me to his asst.

There commercial by passes old people as a reliable doctor. Instead chooses one with cool shoes, young, a great hairstyle etc. You get what you deserve people. Good luck.
The chiropractor I found here was too far from home... IN ANOTHER COUNTY, and was NOT worth all the traffic headaches of trying to get there (on time)! Also, the eye doctor I tried to make an appointment with... CANCELLED OUT ON ME FOR NO APPARENT REASON! So, I should be (just SLIGHTLY!) MORE CAREFUL when using this online service to find and make appointments with any health care provider who accepts my insurance... IN MY OWN COUNTY (I live in Broward Co., here in Florida.)!:-(

Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
