Good on the whole, but ZocDoc keeps getting my gender and city of residence wrong after I edit corrections. Also the notifications could do with one or two fewer. Otherwise I like it! Thanks for all your effort.

They are a scam. They confirmed that the doctor was in network and that I would only pay $20. Then they charged me over $400 for the full payment and said that the doctor was not in network. Complete fraud.

Hi Dennis! We are sorry to hear about your experience with this provider. This is not how Zocdoc is intended to work. We understand that receiving an out-of-network bill can be overwhelming, and we would like to investigate this matter for you. Our providers have complete control over the information they list on their profiles, including the insurance plans they indicate as in-network. We expect all information to be accurate and for providers to provide you with an in-network experience if that's what they advertising. Please call us at (855) 962-3621 so that we can gather more information from you and ensure that this issue is resolved appropriately. We are available 365 days a year Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm EST and Saturday-Sunday, 9am-6pm EST. We look forward to speaking with you soon.

Billing mistakes and unauthorized direct withdrawals. They politely apologize for the mistake which is in $1000 dollar increments, and nothing is done to correct it. You are required to call again and again. Contacting customer support is both draining and time consuming. Definitely not the greatly successful company as advertised. Very difficult to get in touch with a supervisor and when possible they are uninformed and want to re-invent the wheel.
Their model is not the best as it is delegates no responsibility to the patient for 'no shows' or misrepresentation of the insurance information, and the physician is charged for the booking regardless if they are able to see the patient or not.

This company is absolutely atrocious to work with for providers. I'm a provider & have wasted countless of hours dealing with this terrible company. They charge $70 per referral regardless of if the individual no shows, cancels, never responds to the provider, etc. if a client calls them, they proceed to start sending emails threatening & harassing providers over client REFERRALS that 99% of the time never even showed up for the appointment they requested for but Zocdoc still charged the provider for! Clients are allowed to get away with horrific treatment to providers (no shows, disrespect, false payment information, etc.) & ZocDoc also treats providers like complete crap. They make up random "policies" on a daily basis, never communicate them, then proceed to harass providers about it. They also allow no show clients to leave a review on your page if that client calls them to request it. They call themselves a "marketing" company but they literally try to control the provider's internal policies/procedures by threatening providers with being kicked off the site if they don't run their practice in the way ZocDoc tells them to(for example, they try to control & dictate to providers when they should send video links, when to collect consent forms -- they told us to collect the consent forms AFTER having the first appointment with the client, we told them no. No consent forms, no appointment --, etc.). I could literally go on & on & on. I have now started to put all my efforts in my own practices' marketing, SEO, campaigns, etc. & have started to slowly stop using their services. Providers beware!

Hi there! I'm very sorry to hear about your experience as a provider using Zocdoc. As a provider, you do have a dedicated support team that is here to answer any questions or concerns you may have. We would be happy to ensure your account is set up for success. As you were told during onboarding, the fee per booking is not dependent on the outcome of the appointment; in other words, it is not a charge per successful appointment like you would see for a referral site, it is a charge based on a successful new patient booking generated by our marketing efforts on the Zocdoc site. Additionally, we have a dedicated review team that monitors all reviews being posted to a provider's profile. All reviews on a provider Zocdoc profile are submitted after booking an appointment that the provider indicated the patient attended. If a patient did not show up, please give us a call so we can gather additional information from you and have this review investigated by our dedicated review team. You can read more about our review policy here: https://www.zocdoc.com/about/verifiedreviews/ but at your convenience please give us a call! Our number is 866-962-3621. We look forward to speaking with you soon!

I am a provider who has been using Zocdoc for over 3 years. They are a terrible company to deal with as a health care provider. I don't recommend them and they treat their doctors horribly. If I could give 0 stars I would have. I do not recommend Zocdoc.

This has been the most awful company I have every worked with, People send requests not in the right state, or never fill out intakes or submit ID's or no show and it COST YOU 70.00!
It is so wild. I would never in one million dollars ever ever associate or share with the company again.

Hi there Sarah! Thanks so much for providing us with your feedback. Zocdoc is a paid marketing platform for providers, and our pricing was determined by a valuation study conducted by a reputable third party for the types of services Zocdoc is providing to them. This study factored in market rates for similar services, including average no-show rates. Providers also have multiple options to ensure that this platform as beneficial as possible for them. We'd like the chance to connect directly to learn more about your experience. Please give us a call at (866) 962-3621 or email us at Service@Zocdoc.com if you'd like to discuss this any further.

I am the marketing coordinator at a general surgery practice and we used Zocdoc for a short period of time. It was a huge waste of $700 on it. Even if patients do not cancel their appointments, the office still got charged $70 per appointment made. This is outrageous considering it should be helping physicians and surgeons be successful in their practice. If a patient doesn't come in, they don't care and don't take responsibility and charge your practice regardless. They should set up a better system where we can verify the patient did or did not come to the scheduled visit so they can at least return a portion of the $70 back. They were unwilling to help us or understand our issue. It's completely ridiculous and not worth it. It is only built to help patients but not for the doctors who are trying to serve them.

Hi Andrea! We are sorry to hear that Zocdoc did not work for your practice. We have a dedicated service team that you can call at 866-962-3621 and we can look for ways to ensure your account is set up for success. Please know, that Zocdoc is a marketing service, and the cost per booking includes an expected level of cancellations or no-shows. Zocdoc is not a referral service, and we are not able to adjust or remove booking fees based on the success of the booking. As a marketing company, we can help you set up your account so that you can set an amount per month you would be comfortable paying for marketing regardless of appointment outcome. We look forward to speaking with you soon!

At first, when signing up, the app is pretty easy to get through but, the app has issues when it comes to being intuitive and easy to follow. It's super clunky. I had no clue on how this app was supposed to work after setting up the appointment. It was frustrating as I have used similar apps that had a much smoother UI experience from start to finish. I went from setting up my appointment to getting a calendar invite and no way to start the video session, if any. Such a horrible app.

I drove 45 minutes to my appt, arrived and the office said this doctor is not accepting new patients and would need to reschedule me. I scheduled through ZocDoc for the first time and it will also be the last time! With gas in CA being $6.25 a gallon a round trip 90 min drive to not even get your appointment is not my idea of a well run company. I called them and they told me there was nothing they could do! I'm beyond irritated and highly disappointed in this "company" … never again!

Hi there! We are sorry to hear that this was your experience using our platform. All providers choose what information to add to their profile, so there is no reason this should have happened. Providers actually guarantee their information listed and this is something we take very seriously. Ridiculously pushy, unrelenting sales force that uses every ruse to obtain doctors private phone lines and emails, then falsely claims they were referred by another doctor, etc. I am a physician, I would not recommend this service to anyone. This is a bad business.

I already have online scheduling tools available through my electronic medical record and a reputable professional consortium.

I think that it's a great idea however insurances offer almost the same services. This app did not have Doctors in my area(San Antonio, TX). The app referred me to Austin, TX. So it was no use to me. It needs to be more established. I would assume Dr's would want to be listed but they don't even care about their current patients. Having a debilitating illness and having to work through Dr; s is a death sentence. I'm surprised there isn't anymore backlash about them not catching it in time. They would rather push pills and kick you out of the office in 15 minute intervals than find the problem so why would they take the time to do a courtesy and sign up at ZocDoc and make it easier for us?

I have had several mishaps when scheduling via ZocDoc - their system doesn't integrate well into the individual doctors' offices. I don't trust them to book my appointments anymore. So I'll just use the site to search for new doctors- which is still helpful!

Overall, a piece of garbage. I created an account to schedule an appointment. They do not send any confirmation of the appointment or reminders that there is any appointment scheduled for me. I end up calling the dental office myself to schedule it.

This website asks for a bunch of sensitive and private medical information that I don't even know if they are actually secured.

The "Forgot Password" link does not work either. I wanted to go back in and disable this account and have waited for the Password Reset email for more than 5 days now and still have not received it. I hope my account is locked for good because I will never use this site again.

Seems to severely limit the negative reviews posted on their site, assuming b/c doctors are the folks that pay them. Left a negative review of a dangerously irresponsible doctor who tried to convince me my medical issue was the result of past trauma or d3 deficiency and didn't even treat it. They somehow posted a 3 star rating to this and I attempted numerous times to contact them and they simply said over and over again that they do not allow edits to reviews but I could delete it. $#*!ty company, $#*!ty user experience, $#*!ty people.

They say "we match patients' needs with providers." They failed horrendously and charged me $130. I never listed myself as a psychiatrist, yet two patients booked me for medication management.

Fact

1. ZocDoc's failed website design misguided two patients to book me.

2. ZocDoc insists on charging me $130

3. ZocDoc insists on taking zero accountability

Don't even bother talking to the service support team. They just copy/paste the same message about their business model.

We are a 5 star physician Practice who used to accept all insurances and provide an equal access of care to all patients. It's unfortunate that Zocdoc has taken a capitalist approach to Patient care. They decided to charge $80 per patient to our practice (whether patient shows up or not). This forced us to not accept poorly paying plans as we would not be able to sustain a medical practice with that ridiculous price. Charging to see per patient should be criminal because they are putting value on patient care. I am sure doctors will be inclined to order unnecessary test and visits to make up that cost.

In regards to your feedback, we've decided to transition from a flat subscription rate to one that charges a provider for each new patient booking in order to lower the barrier to entry for more providers and thus improve patients' choice and access to care. We have successfully implemented this new structure in 13 states and as a result, providers can now see the value that Zocdoc brings. The value of patients receiving care, however, is immeasurable because helping people get the healthcare they deserve will always be our first priority. If you'd like to continue this discussion, give us a call at (866) 962-3621. We'd be more than happy to help! - The Zocdoc Service Team

Our account was " breached" by someone other than my office. ZocDoc did not notify us until many months later and could not give me any information other than it was corrected. When I asked to be compensated in some way they told me it was not there policy to refund people.
I thought they handled this very unprofessionally.
Besides that not one patient was booked through them.
