So, these books are cheap - and expectations should be managed accordingly. The quality is fine for personal projects - projects should not be designed with images designed across the center, as ink bleeds down the middle, but as long as you're not designing across center, it's okay for the price - not great by any means, and their "pro" line is a ridiculous proposition - the product is not anywhere near professional quality. I had an absolutely terrible customer service experience with them, however - they recently made changes to their default design options with no notice to consumers. It should be noted that the Little Black Book now comes with ZNO branding that WILL NOT be removed. This was not communicated beforehand, and I had a project which also printed with default text on the spine - both of these issues resulted in me having to trash the project I'd ordered and paid for. ZNO was absolutely no help - their solution was to tell me that the text issue was not their fault, I'd had to have added it in design (What? Sure, I typed out a long file name for fun, okay), and that the branding was now automatic and could not be removed. The biggest issue with ZNO is not the product - it's the customer service, which is absolutely terrible. I used to recommend them for casual personal projects from time to time, but can't do even that, anymore - a waste of money is a waste of money, and I cannot support a company with such a disregard for its customers.
Ive been using Zno since before they changed their name from Artisan State. The products looked good at first (a few little black books as gifts, lay flat albums for myself). After a few tries I started offering to my photography clients. Issue 1, two albums less than 3 months old started to fade on the edge of the cover. I took photos & sent an email, they ended up replacing them. I thought ok one time thing. Then just 2 weeks ago I ordered a beautiful leatherette flush mount album with metallic pages & a cameo window. The cameo window was cut sloppy and today I noticed the last album page is unglued. Seriously? I cant sell this to my clients, I cant even give this as a gift to family if it wont hold up. I agree with the others who say print quality isnt the best. My Album prints are always a bit more washed out than on my computer & sharpness is soft also. Bottom line is I cant trust this company, the products come from China, theyre poorly made & unreliable. I need my clients albums to last for years, not weeks. Bye, bye, ZNO.
I ordered 2 canvasses and one of their more unique 3-photo floating frame products. I could not be happier. To be fair, all photos I provided were high quality (DSLR, edited in Lightroom), which may be the cause behind some disappointed customers - the end result will only be as good as what you're providing. Some other negative reviews seem to stem from errors in printing/cropping/handling but I can say that for me, my expectations were met without a doubt. I've ordered a canvas from Walgreens, it turned out more like a cartoon than a photo (no sharpness to the lines, colors muted and blending into each other), and it cost about 80% of what ZNO charges. These were well worth the higher price and I will absolutely buy more in the future. I love to showcase my (admittedly amateur) photography, and ZNO has given me an opportunity to do so and not break the bank! 10/10

Customer service is horrible. I ordered a book almost 3 weeks ago and still no book.
On UPS tracking no specific date is given with tracking.

I used this company when they were artisan state and was really happy with my product but I have now just received my album of 150 photos and the images are such poor quality. Turning my beautiful images into something distasteful.
This is supposed to be a birthday present for my father-in-law. The images have been printed as such a low quality that a lot of the detail has been lost. This was a 8x8 photo book too, so not even that big. I could maybe understand if it was really big and my images weren't very high res but these were high res professional photos that shouldn't lose any detail. Even the colour is dull.
I will still give the book as I have no other gift to give and he doesn't care about such things and some of the smaller pictures are fine but I had hoped to get a wedding album done through here but have since changed my mind.
I guess that with the change in name, the company has not only changed how they do things but who does them too. Obviously interested in making a quick buck and shirking responsibility by the sound of the other reviews.
I spent 3 days setting up the 55 page album using over 200 pics from my daughter's wedding. Easier to use available page layouts, but I wanted to do them myself. After all the time spent, I thought I should look at the reviews and my heart sank! I read about poor service, bad picture quality and colors that were off. I checked other sites and found that nobody else offered the 2-page spread of a single picture that I wanted, and the prices of the others were outrageous! After several more days of consideration I finally hit the 'order' button and continued to worry about my choice. The next day I received an email saying that my order had shipped - not sure that was a good sign. Four days after that I had a box on my front porch. I couldn't bring myself to even open the box until the next day - and when I did, I couldn't have been more delighted! The quality of the photos (even ones not taken by the photographer) was excellent (not just good). The colors were right on and the album is BEAUTIFUL! I'm not sure if I was just a lucky one, but I would definitely order from them again.
I ordered a black little book for the first time on Oct 2 with a delivery date of Oct 10. It never arrived. Then I read on my account that there was an issue with it, and that they contacted me on Oct 8th, and solved the issue and put it back in production. That never happened. I was never contacted. New delivery date was to be Oct 12. I contacted Zno first by phone, no answer. Then by email, outlining the fact that I was never contacted for any issues with the order even though notes on the account indicated they did. I then got an email saying Problem Solved. But they could not tell me what the problem was but a new ship date of Oct 14-18 and there is no way of guaranteeing a shipment date. The response from Zno as been mechanical and ridiculous. It makes one wonder exactly what is going on with this company. The shipping date keeps moving to the future... that is the only thing they can tell me. I am very suspect of this company now and for any future work I would have wanted to do with them. No one to answer your phone? Wow!. Inadequate email customer response. Wow! What a way to win over business from a first time customer.
I worked a few weeks on stunning layouts but when was ready to order and put in all my valid credit card information it kept on pending for a few hours, and I couldn't order it even when I tried different credit cards and lost all my hard work. I tried calling them but nobody picked up ever. THERE'S NOBODY TO TALK TO! No wonder all reviews are terrible. NEVER AGAIN THIS COMPANY THAT JUST WANTS YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION
They change again and again to be membership and take in money from account without permission!

I searched dozens of sites to find exactly what I wanted. Ordered a 12X12 flush mount with crystal front. Paid additional for express shipping. No other company I searched offered every feature that I was looking for. Leather, crystal front, the specific binding ZNO offers is better than others I looked at. My book came today, after 3 weeks vs 5-7 days. I have accepted that okay, this is custom, and I maximized every page, and detail. I will forgive the delay, as in Canada, this book would have taken 3x as long. I can't say that I was impressed with customer service. No they do not answer phones, however I did get a vague response via e-mail. There is a very tiny issue with the photo on the crystal front not reaching to the very edge of the glass, at the bottom, I missed it at first glance, had to be looking for imperfections. Other than that, I am in love! The quality of the images are incredible! I can see the tiny blond hairs on my arms, and the texture in my "real silk" flowers. Even the photos that the software "warned" were low quality are stunning. I was having nightmares after reading these reviews. They are not what we are used to as far as customer service level, however after ordering a photobook from another company, as my guest book for the wedding, this album is spectacular in my opinion.
Ive ordered something for my bf for Christmas. Early enough to get it by Christmas. Guess what, its been four days since my shipment confirmation, and still hasn't left the premises. "Label Created, not yet in system". This is absurd! I had a melt down last night, because this gift was so sentimental and was hoping to see my bfs reaction on Christmas Day, but I guess I have to run out and get somthing else bc I solely depended on a company that couldn't be depended on. And of corse I cannot get a hold of them because of their obnoxious "business hours". WILL BE GETING MY MONEY BACK. SO OVER THIS BS
I have ordered a wedding album with them recently and the colors were off (I understand how difficult it must be to print every order perfect without ICC profiles) but also, the gilding was coming off and was all over the album (like a black shredded material) and my hands. Can you imagine if I had shipped that to a customer instead of my studio? After contacting them by email and waiting for a week for a response (they say 48hr, what a joke) I have called them repeatedly and after 4 days and 3 messages the lady on the phone (they finally called me back) told me that they had been busy and once I have contacted them by email they cannot do anything by phone anymore, that I have to wait for the ticket to be answered and resolved online. If you are a professional photographer, or even if you are not, imagine having to keep pushing the deadline for the delivery of your client's album to... a date you are not even sure. After a few days they sent me a replacement album (same problem with the colors and the gilding looked horrible) so I just re-order the album from Zookbinders (lost money, but the quality was just so much better and my customer was amazed). I wouldn't trust them again with a album that will (hopefully) stay in someone's family for generations. It's just not right.

Orderd 10×10 Flush Mount Album with 24 pages $90 to give as a gift to a wedding client. Had 3 major suprices. There was an album spread of someone else's new born baby shoot. Instead of spread with bride walking in. Which is a key spread of the album. (Obviously there's no quality control process from their end. Any idiot with a peanut brain can figure there is spread within the album which doesn't belong in a wedding album) yet they were so IGNORENT and posted the album anyway... Printing quality was inconsistent and there were couple of spreads which weren't stuck properly. They were coming apart.
Emailed to customer service over and over again and not a single reply. (Just the automated reply for the very 1st email i sent) tried calling the no on the website and guess what... automated response. Pls leave a msg crap
Definitely not pro quality at all so dont bother with pro plans. Just good enough for personal use if ur happy to get what you pay for.
If Zno customer service happens to see this... ******* is my order no $#*!ing fix the album and send it to me then will review accordingly... Not recomending for anyone unless u like to pay for surprises...
