A company that purchases homes should not bother showing a lot line map. Every good moderately priced home is pending. Why bother looking at the lot line map.
Zillow is a joke. And it's going down hill fast. Providing false information, not having phone support, not responding to emails. Straight trash. Overcharging realtors for BS leads. I hope you guys go bankrupt.
After I requested an appointment to see an apartment for sale in a 55+ community in Lauderhill, the realtor words were that he could not show the property until I was pre-approved by a mortgage company, even on the website says to call for a property tour. All the properties that I have bought, I was never denied seeing any property without a mortage pre-approval, I live in a house whose value is more than $650,000, an apartment that I have is completely paid for, and these clowns called agents are denying the tour based on what criteria? Not only I won't buy any property from Zillow, but no referrals whatsoever again.
New Apartments won't load, Pictures taking hours to upload, Messages from prospective tenants not accessible. WTF Impossible to get a human to respond. All for $9.99 per add per week
I hardly write any reviews but I need to do one for this company. I don't recommend buying a house from Zillow. We had an inspector come out to see if anything needs fixed. There were shingle problems, foundation problems, AC problems, and exterior brick problems. Zillow painted the house and had lots of patch marks that you could see from the contractors. They did a terrible job doing that and think my 3 year old nephew can do better. They called these problems "cosmetic in nature" we got quotes to fix all these issues which would run us about 45k to fix and Zillow came back and said they would only credit us 3k to fix them and called the repairs "cosmetic in nature" I believe this review will help others decide whether to purchase from Zillow or not.
Prices are inflated. I contacted a realtor and tried to confirm the price that was listed. They were unable to confirm it for me but referred me to a realtor in the area who never actually got back to me. I attempted this more than one time. Buyer beware.the one thing we did figure out is prices were inflated and the pictures do not truly represent some of the houses they were showing online
I usually love Zillow for shopping new properties and deals however upon trying to review an unscrupulous realtor I found that they are shielding Realtors using their premium service from some negative reviews. I've submitted eight different times honest and will tempered review of one specific realtor and every time there's a new reason they won't accept it. I'm just putting this out there be wary, they are known in some of the real estate forums to do this.
Zillow rental is almost fake and full of wrong information no customer service putting a unauthorized listing when you try to contact phone number is not works even one time I found a listing under company name after so many stamps no response as a result I call the company the company denied and said we are not in rental business. Even the listing agents do all the illegal way to rent the property even against the Zillow basic leasing law. I personally complain many time against the listing agents, They don't care about it. Now recently they put a eviction on my record and no one is there to fix the problem. It's sounds to me ion US any one can do any thing against you
We were very satisfied to find our new home through Zillow. We were able to view and compare all areas we were looking at. Thanks to A&D Mortgage Co. For closing on our property fast and painless. Their team was very professional, easy to work with, they communicated with us for things we needed our attention on, they were very friendly and nice. Very pleased to work with A&D Mortgage! Definitely recommend A&D Mortgage for any closing transactions!
There are A LOT of lazy real estate agents on Zillow. I would never contract with an agent that doesn't take the time to take pics or takes dark or lousy pics. If a Zillow listing does not have pics, I (and many others) will not even consider the property and will move to the next. Also, the lazy agents don't take the time to describe the home and instead say something like agent, see notes. What good does that do the average home shopper that doesn't have an agent yet? If there is a HOA fee or lot rent fee, Zillow always avoids revealing this info even though it is significant toward the true price of the home. And if you try to look for a house in FL, you will have to go through thousands of manufactured homes that lazy real estate agents should have listed in manufactured home section. Lots of room for Zillow improvements.
My Husband and I had been searching for a home for 3 years. We found our recent purchase on Zillow, the realtor who contacted me was James Chappell, of Mission Realty in Princeton Indiana. James is a wonderful realtor. He went above and beyond to help us through the process, it had been 30 years since we purchased our first home, so we were pretty green. He was always available to answer any questions I had and was always professional and knowledgeble and was more than eager to help in any way. James is the best realtor that we have worked with and really cares about his clients. If I ever decide to make anther purchase I will use James as my realtor and will recommend to family and friends. He turned what could have been a long and painful process into a learning experince for me. Thank you James for all your hard work. Kathy Jones Princeton Indiana
If you are in the market for a home stay clear of zillow owned homes. Their contract teams are hard to work with and they will refuse to address any issues with the homes. They will not pay for repairs. Zillow may claim a lot of good things in the seller purchase disclosure saying they they fixed and replaced a lot of items in the home to lure potential buyers, but in reality they are very negligent and do not even inspect the homes they sell to make sure their contractors have actually fixed or replaced the items they haver mentioned in the seller purchase disclosure. In the end the buyer ends ups with a home full of issues if they are not careful and conduct a through inspection.
My experience with Zillow is waste of money. Please go with other sources for leads!
Be very disappointed and money wasted that you work hard for Zillow don't deserve your money!
Just went through the process of buying a house owned by Zillow. It was painful. They clearly were not prepared or researched when they got into this side of the business. 1) For accepting our offer, they took three days to respond to our offer but wanted 8 hours response time on the counter offer they sent. And they responded only after our realtor contacted them and said her buyers were going to rescind the offer. 2) Our realtor had to stay on top of them for every little thing - due diligence period was coming to a close and we had received no word on what we requested to be fixed (minor things that they did indeed refuse to fix). 3) They closed LATE. While we are preapproved, our lender was ready to close early and we were told we would be closing on the 16th. Evening of the 15th and we still didn't know when the notary would be coming or if we would even be closing. In fact, we didn't know until the morning the 16th when the notary called to confirm the appointment we didn't know existed. We signed everything. However, Zillow didn't close and escrow was not recorded for three days because they kept forgetting to sign documents, or had had us sign documents that were not updated and now we needed to redo that. We thought we were in the clear and had transferred the utilities on the day that we thought we had closed. Low and behold our surprise when our painters arrived today to an alarm blaring (and according to our neighbors, had all night) because ZILLOW had cancelled our electricity. Interestingly, our realtor had just contacted us this morning regarding another document Zillow wants us to sign - even though the file has been closed since the 19th. Zillow was unprofessional, it's staff was untrained, and while we don't fault the staff -the business itself was a nightmare to work with. I truthfully didn't really believe the house would ever be ours with all the confusion that was occurring. The house is beautiful, that is what the one star is for - they aren't responsible for that - but at least they put it on the market.
Zillow is the epitome of useless. I'm trying to buy a house with them and they never communicate anything, they never sign anything on time, and they're going to go above and beyond to make sure they screw you over as much as possible. Just run. Don't sell to them, don't buy from them, you'd have better luck sacrificing your first born to a witch.
We decided to go through Zillow Offers to sell our home, signed our closing docs and went a full 4 days past our closing by date before Zillow finished their closing. My pregnant wife and I went 2 days without having a home since we needed the funds to be wired for closing on our new home. I wouldn't sell through them again if it were my only choice. I made it through the entire process without ever talking to my ‘agent' no matter how many times I left voicemails, texts, or emails over the entire 2 month process of receiving my initial offer. They aren't professional enough to be in the business of buying homes. I get better customer service at run down fast food restaurants.
I am trying to sell my house and my account has apparently been deactivated for reasons I do not know. I have called the Zillow HELP line and no one will answer the phone. It is crucial that I get back into my account to correct the phone number on my house listing, and to add more recent pictures.
NO ONE TO PICK UP PHONE, CANT ACCESS LISTING, SAYS CONTACT LISTING AGENT. THERE IS NO LISTING AGENT. MY HOUSE IS HOSTAGE ON THIS WEBSITE. I CANT MAKE ANY CHANGES. PHONE MESSAGE SAYS 5 DAYS! FOR RETURN CALL. HOW CAN ANYONE SELL A HOUSE WITH THIS WASTE OF TIME WEBSITE. I'M GOING TO HOMELISTER.COM IF I CAN EVER GET THESE PEOPLE TO REMOVE ME FROM THE DATA BASE. I CONTACTING DCA.
The negative reviews regarding the realtors on their site are censored. When you write a negative review about a realtor on there, the review is heavily scrutinized to the point of being taken down or just not even posted at all. Their community guidelines have NO policy about reviews that are restrained, truthful and negative. If they happen to hurt the realtor's feelings then so be it, maybe change your behavior so that you don't earn more negative reviews. Once a negative review is submitted, it will likely never be posted. When you contact zillow/trulia (same shady company) about it, you will get a response from Sophie Chen of Manhattan, NY. She will twist herself into knots writing grammatically-poor and vague emails defending the realtor as if Sophie was right there when the realtor called me a **** and refused to honor the original contract we had. Sophie will claim a review that has any negative slant about a realtor they subcontract or want to lure into a subcontract deal, does not deserve to have something so hurtful as a one star review, then will attempt to pick apart the review and question if it is factual. Again, playing pretend investigator and acting as though she was there when the realtor and I had met. It's funny how the positive reviews with racist language in them aren't scrutinized but negative reviews need to be investigated with a fine- toothed comb. I wonder why the negative reviews get the "special" treatment. Realtors pay for pumped up reviews and "premier" status on those two websites and when you already have a thin skin, well, it speaks for itself. Go ahead and try to warn people about a shady realtor with a violent temper. You will find yourself in the exact same situation. Let good ole Sophie Chen know how you feel and how pathetic their customer service is while they pick apart honest reviews to protect their worthless "premier status" realtors.
Answer: All Zillow does is collect your information and when you stop paying or refuse to pay for awful service they send fraudulent trolls pretending to be a potential tenant, buyer, seller that provides no identification to post negative reviews! Zillow is a terrible website!
Answer: Why would you expect a call from the buyer. All buyers, if they want things done proper way, their lawyer/rep/realtor will call you. So, when you do a for sale by owner, you are saying, you don't have a lawyer to represent you, but the buyer will.
