A few hours before my appointment I get a call and am told the mechanic they can send is not qualified and can not change out an alternator. They said they would need to cancel my appointment. When I question the representative why they are canceling I get a rude response and am dismissed. Save your time, money and headache.

I scheduled an appointment to get my cabin air filter changed. The morning of my appointment an hour before the mechanic was supposed to show us I received an email saying that the part was unavailable and they would have to reschedule, no offer of compensation, tho I would have been charged $25 if I had done the same. I called into the call center in the afternoon to find out the issue and about possibly rescheduling. I was told the part did not arrive until today at 2PM and thats why the mechanic was unable to make the morning appointment. They offered to reschedule for the following day, I asked the women to please confirm with the parts store and the mechanic that the part was in fact in stock and that there would not be another issue with my appointment the next day. The women assured me that the part was now in stock, but that as soon as we got off the phone she would call to confirm with both of them and if there was any issue they would call me right back. She also offered to take $6 off the repair, sorta a joke and insulting.

Next morning I get a text from the mechanic saying he just talked to the parts store and they should be getting the part in sometime today, but not in time for our appointment but he would let me know. I called up the main number again. Furious this time that they have cancelled a second appointment in days days and lied to me yesterday about the part being in stock. They offered very little apology and no explanation, said I could reschedule and this time they would offer me $10 off the repair. This company is a joke and their customer service is even worse I would avoid this company at all costs if you value your time or honesty.

Nelson showed up early ready to go! Diagnosed the car, offered us numerous solutions on how to fix the issue, and explained everything very clearly. Fast, honest, clear, etc. What else can someone want in a mechanic?

I will absolutely be using this service again, and will be asking for Nelson each time!

Brian

I got an instant quote to replace my serpentine belts on my car and my mechanic was slightly late, but that was okay, I think he drove a long way. The mechanic was friendly, professional, and it was supposed to take him an hour, but he finished replacing my belts in about 40 minutes. I saved over 40% by not going to an actual mechanic shop. I thought it was weird though how they needed my license plate number, I'm not sure what the reason behind that was since they had my vin number. Overall I was pleased with the service and I would use Your Mechanic again.

When it comes to Automotive Service/Repairs, I am no different than everyone else. I dread it! Why? Not just because of the potential costs, but because I always feel like i'm going to be taken advantage of. We've all seen the sting operations and how so many service shops are cited for billing scams and charging for unnecessary services.

I must admit I was a little skeptical when I discovered "YourMechanic". The fact that they come to you to perform the service, and price those services sometimes far below local mechanic shops left me wondering if the quality of the service was going to be dreadful.

I can advise you that I was overwhelmed with my first service experience. It was great, but I was still wondering if this was going to be the exception and not the rule. My second experience was no different. I have an early 2000's Ford and repairs are commonplace, but each time I got a great deal and great work at my convenience.

I rated this business at five stars, and I don't rate ANYBODY or ANYTHING at five stars unless I've had an exceptional experience, truly Exceptional. The mechanic who did my work, inspected my vehicle and advised about potential problems and eased my concerns about other issues. I knew that he "had my back" and was really looking out for me.

I will close by saying that when it comes to Automotive Service/Repairs I've experienced since I started driving over 45 years ago, this has been the best. I have no doubt that you'll experience the same.

Today was my first experience with "Your Mechanic". Mechanic showed up on time as promised and performed the required repair as request. Kenneth was quick did an extra diagnostic for me because my check engine light was on and explained my problem at no extra cost. Pricing was fair and the convenience was great to have this done all in my drive way. Great way to go!

Trung Do from YourMechanic had my car serviced yesterday. I would like to give him 6 stars if the system allows me to. Last week I took my car to Precision Auto Tune in Sunnyvale for oil change and tire rotation. They examined my car and found the driver side front strut was leaking oil. They gave me a quote of $630 trying to persuade me to replace both driver side and passenger side front struts, because they told me if one strut is broken, I'd better replace both, otherwise if I replace one, they will charge additional $70 labor for alignment. I refused and started to search online, and then I found YourMechanic and booked Trung. In the beginning, I thought I do need to replace both sides, so I submitted the request and got the quote of $440, which is a lot cheaper than the shop. Yesterday when Trung was here for the replacement, he examined and tested my car carefully, and then he told me the passenger side strut is completely healthy and no need to be replaced. That saved half of the cost which becomes $220 only. Compared to the quote of $630 from the shop, I saved $410! The work was well done and I can feel the difference right after it is replaced. I would definitely use YourMechanic and Trung again for my next service.

Your Mechanic, specificly Rodney, the mechanic who came to fix my jeep, set me at easy instantly. He not only fixed the issue, he explained things clearly, and did not make me feel stupid like many garages do if you are female. I will never go to a garage again unless i have to! A great idea and a great service start to finish! Very professional and thorough!

Great Job
July 22, 2016

Godwin did a great job changing the oil in my car. First, he called me and arrived early for the appointment which I really appreciated. Then he answered my questions about the car that were not even related to the oil change. He has a good attitude and you can tell he know what he is doing. I absolutely liked the way he did the job and will certainly use his services again.

Jeffery was Great
July 21, 2016

Jeffery was GREAT! We had a bad alternator resulting in a dead battery which we could not change ourselves because of the location of the battery. Jeffery came and changed out the alternator and also charged the battery! All while my son was at work. When he left work, his car was fixed with a charged battery! We were sure we would pay for the convience of having the mechanic fix it in the parkinglot at his work but no! The price was very reasonable, and a great mechanic with the best personality! I am telling everyone!

William arrived on time and was very courteous. He explained what he would do and was honest about what we needed fixed. He answered our questions and didn't seem put off by us checking in. He encouraged questions. This is our first time using Yourmechanic and I was very nervous but my husband and I were thoroughly satisfied with William and his outstanding, conscientious service. We would use this service without hesitation and recommend it to our family friends. Thank you.
From beginning to end Yourmechanic was on point.

They sent a mechanic out to perform a terrible brake job. All he had to do was replace the brake pads and do an inspection/test drive to make sure everything was fine. He couldn't even do that. This is simple stuff, he replaced the pads and did what mechanics apparently call a "slap job." That's right, if you want a "slap job" on your car then sure go ahead and contact YourMechanic.com. He put the brakes on with little to no lubrication, they overheated and warped the rotors. Our rotors are damaged and just weeks later we need to get the Rotors and pads replaced - completely replaced, over $700. What did we even pay for? Now, their warranty department informs us that the most they can do is replace the brake pads or refund us for the brakes. This is ridiculous! They should pay for the rotors too; their mechanic misled us into thinking everything was fine, when, in fact, it was not fine. Not even a week or two later, we got a quote from Meineke and they said it was a bad brake job and that whoever did this should pay for the whole thing to get replaced. Who do we trust? The people who put dangerous squeaky brakes on our car that now slides and is dangerous to drive on? Or the company that's pretty much been around forever (AKA Meineke). I should have went to a legitimate business before I trusted YourMechanic.com with the safety of my family. Uber is one thing, it's a ride from Point A to Point B... but that same principle clearly doesn't work for mechanic's that work for a company that refuses to hold them accountable and will not pay for something they messed up.

YourMechanic.com and Chris Allshouse definitely deserve 5++ stars. I am so grateful I came across YourMechanic while googling for an auto mechanic in my area. Love the convenience, the notifications, the efficiency and best of all, the fact that it is 30% less expensive compared to typical auto mechanics that have shops. The convenience of them coming to you rather than you going to the shop and waiting until your car is done is one of the top benefits but finding out that the cost is at least 30% less is just another reason why I have been sharing this experience with family and friends and people who constantly browse online for any thing they need.

The mechanic who service my zip code is Chris Allshouse. He is professional, honest, an expert in his field, knowledgeable, thorough and great with customer service to ensure customer satisfaction. My initial appointment was for 9 AM on Father's Day. He came a half hour early and explained/apologized to me that there was a mistake on the labor portion of the online quote. I have a V6 but the online estimate quoted me inline 6 so the labor was only 1 hour instead of 3. Anyhow, Chris explained what he would do and also assured me that he would have to re-schedule our appointment for the following day, will negotiate an additional discount on my behalf for the inconvenience as the discrepancy was not my fault. Everything that he promised was kept.

He came a half hour early the following day, repaired my valve cover gasket as needed and provided inspection report afterwards. I had such a great experience at a fair price and shared my experience and the referral code with the boyfriend, family and friends.

Awesome job Chris and keep it up YourMechanic!

Great experience!

Brandon was great. Showed up on time, was courteous and knowledgeable. He figured out what was wrong and solved my problem after my own regular mechanic charged me $85 for 'computer diagnostics' and couldn't find the issue to fix it. I will definitely call Brandon again!

Excellent Service
June 7, 2016

When the local car service center couldn't diagnose the issue with my car, I reached out to YourMechanic. Shaun James was the one who came over to my place and did a through check and figured out the problem. I am so glad there is a service like your's that has mobile mechanics to come over to the residence for service. I will definitely be using you in the future for all my car needs. Thanks.
