Just used Your Mechanic for another service. My mechanic this time was Tyler. Very professional, honest, and thorough. He was very helpful and took his time to explain things to me. I will definitely use this guy again.

Hollywood, Fl area I read a lt of great reviews from other states thinking I'll try it out. I own a dodge stratus. For the sake of the review... been canceled on 5 times now... all for different reasons with 10 minute notice of when they shldve been arriving. I'm giving them the 2 stars because they came finally one time, late without proper tools and took 5 hours to do a 2 hour job., take ur services else were
Sooo basically, I got my brakes replaced because not only they needed to be replaced but because they had annoying squeaking noise. At first it wasnt making noise but a day later, it was more squeking than before (it used to be once in a while- now its everytime I brake and now its another noise - whistling... more noise added! Its worse than before and its embarrassing! - so basically the mechanic screwed me over and they are charging me $80 for another crappy mechanic- I WILL NEVER RETURN OR HAVE ANY OF THEM WORK ON MY CAR AGAIN! JUST GO TO THE SHOP- I HAD TO LEARN THE HARD WAY! Now either I have to work on it myself or pay money at the shop- they put me in a bad situation :( Either way I would have been paying the same amount (your mechanic: 170+ 80=250... shop- SEARS - $300. Only a $50 difference but at least you can be sure to have good service free of defects and they will make it better, not worse)

I unfortunately made an appointment with them to have my crankshaft harmonic balancer replaced. In their FAQ page, the BOLD FACE LIE and state the mechanic will let you know if you need less or more repairs. I told the mechanic that my truck was making a weird loud noise when it starts and left the keys for him to start it because he didn't want me to when he first got here. Turns out my balancer didn't need to be replaced. He didn't start my truck to listen to the sound until after he replaced a part he knew I didn't need. Told me what it was and billed me for the service they knew I didn't need! When I talked to customer service it's oh, they assume another mechanic has already looked at the vehicle, all they do is the requested repairs, nothing more... but that's not what's stated on their website!

Amazing service: I literally saved a minimum of $500 using this. I scheduled a time and day, mechanic showed up exactly on time, put a new water pump in my car... on my own driveway. Cool thing is I didn't have to pay him there--just sign authorization b/c you pay online so there are no extra/hidden fees. Love it!
I would give no stars if I could. I had an appointment to get crankshaft position sensor replaced in my 330xi. After 3 hours he texts me to say he broke the bolt off in my crankcase, the one that holds the sensor in place. He was literally like a monkey with a banana in his hand, rather than a wrench, because he used the wrong driver to try to pull the bolt. Then he has no plan of action for removal, other than an idiotic one that I want no part of. His idea, drill IL through and re-tap the hole, yeah that what the engineers at BMW had in mind for replacement of this particular item. So next day I hear nothing from him, he does not respond to my texts until the very end of the day, and I'm talking like 1030 at night. The company itself still has not responded and I have a vehicle now that doesn't run but did when I brought it to them, and still needing repair... thanks alot.

It seems as though if the service performed does not completely correct the problem, there is simply no follow-up. After multiple attempts to get a mechanic back out to further investigate and correct the problem, the so-called "customer service" department completely refused to help me any further. After attempts to coordinate a scheduled follow-up appointment, I have been left abandoned and frustrated. In the many years that I have used the services of auto repair providers, I have never experienced such blatant disregard for customer satisfaction as YourMechanic has shown. I am profoundly dissatisfied and disappointed. I plan to file a formal complaint with the California State Bureau of Automotive Repairs. G. Facciani, Fresno, CA

Went to a neighborhood mechanic and was told i needed to replace a sway bar and drive belt and while the prices they quoted me were fare they weren't as low as those offered by your mechanic so I booked an appointment with them in a nearby suburb ( none available in my area) mechanic showed up in time with the required tools was kind and courteous and showed me what he was doing step by step and as he was going through the steps he told me there was nothing wrong with my sway bars and asked if I still wanted them replaced of course I said no but I was able to get him to replace the belt which he states was badly damaged and showed it to me. Over all a really good experience

Mechanic reached the address on time, analyzed the problem and explained well. Fixed the problem on the spot as the mechanic came up with needed spare part. Very accurate and transparent billing. I highly recommend this service to any one.
I used yourmechanic.com to get a heater control valve replaced on my 2006 prius. Everything was great. My only issue was they didn't service my home so I had it done at my brothers house.
I was skeptical about a mechanic coming to my house to replace a starter in my car, however this service was the best! Not only did Chris (my mechanic) perform only what was needed, but the cost was better than an auto shop. In addition, the service has a warranty and loved that I didnt have to have the added expense of towing the car. Now that I have tried this, I would definitely recommend it to others.
