I tried this for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Not only was it a convenient way to have my car serviced, at home, it was also the best priced. The mechanic, Luke, was knowledgeable, pleasant, and helpful. I will continue to use this service for all of our vehicles.

Worst customer service I have ever had place is a scam stay away these reviews are. It legit giving this place all this praise I promise you. Mechanic never shows up second time by the way and they do nothing about it besides waste your day and time

The worst service possible. Don't waste your time and find a real mechanic service. I scheduled an appointment and had to rent a car until mymechanic could come see my car. I called them an hour before to make sure the mechanic was going to arrive and he said he was going to be a little late. I took an hour off of work to meet the mechanic at my house and he never showed up, do to personal problems. This was Wednesday and they rescheduled me for Saturday. Then I realized that they rescheduled me again with the same mechanic who didn't showed up on Wednesday. I was worried that he wasn't going to show up again, so I ask to speak to him. MyMechanic couldn't get a hold of him until an hour before my appointment. The customer service at MyMechanic calls me to ask me if my car was in a shaded area because the mechanic doesn't want to work in the heat. I said he could move my car wherever he likes. Why would they schedule me at 4PM if they know it's summer time in Dallas. Finally I told him I could not be there and told him where I put the key of the car, he called me once and just took off. Then I called the next day to get my money back and they said first they have to get ahold of the mechanic. An hour later they call me back and said they could not get ahold of the mechanic, so they going to credit me my money. I look at my credit card statement and they charged me $20 for the time he actually showed and didn't care to look for the key. I literally lost my money by waiting around for the mechanic to show up for 3 days, renting a car, Uber, and taking time off of work. Save your time and money, find a Real Mechanic. You think you will be saving money but it comes out more expensive at the end.

Suggestion: Ask the people you know for refers.

Pete arrived30mins before scheduled time. He explained everything in great detail. Was very professional, literally has a mobile mechanic shop! I recently was quoted a price by a dealership to fix the CV joint on my car and when I found YourMechanic who quoted less than half the cost, I was happy to give them a chance. My mechanic, Joseph, came to my home and was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. My car has never run so smoothly. And the 12,000 mile/12 month warranty is additional peace of mind. I would highly recommend this service.

Scheduled an appointment with Your Mechanic, because I had an older car that had not been driven or started in several years. I did not want to pay to have the car towed to a mechanic, only to get an expensive quote and be faced with having to fix the car or have it towed back. The car is not a daily driver, so I thought that it was ideal to have a someone diagnose the car at my house, and let me know what the deal is. Also, the cost for a Your Mechanic ASE certified technician to come out was $10.00 less than the towing cost would have been.

All in all everything went great. The technician showed up on time, and was able to assist me with getting the car started, he also noted and got me quotes for other items that needed repair. He also looked at another vehicle we own that had a check engine light coming on and was able to get me taken care of there as well. The overall experience was one of great convenience for me, and I will certainly use this service again when needed.

My suggestion to anyone who is thinking of using this service is, DON'T! My car was diagnosed as needing a new starter almost 3 weeks ago. Not only is my car not fixed, but according to the second mechanic who came out to my house, who informed me that it now needs more work due to the original mechanic messing it up worse. As of last Tuesday I am still waiting for someone from the warranty department to call me and make arrangements to get my car repaired. I have called roughly 8 times since last Tuesday and can't get ANYONE other that the poor CSR that answers the phone to speak to me. This may be the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

DO NOT USE YOURMECHANIC! If you do, good luck to you

Do not use this service! They will take all of your information and no one will show up. I wait 2 hours outside for someone to come and they never did. Then they will keep trying to reschedule your appointment and still no one will show up. If you try to cancel an appointment that you did not reschedule they will charge you $20.

"Peter is the only mechanic I feel comfortable using. In this world of the "fast buck", Peter makes me feel like my car will be fixed at a fair and reasonable price without any tomfoolery so to speak. I work 7 days a week, sometimes12 hours a day at the VA, so my time is very limited when it comes to personal stuff. This company will come to your home (on your day off when you'd rather relax by the pool) or go to your office and service your vehicle. I would and have recommended him to friends and family members alike without hesitation. Thank you Peter and Your Mechanic."

When you go the the site "yourmechanic.com", to schedule service you must give them your debit card numbers. I was a little nervous about it, but I trusted the site. A week after that someone within their company started taking small amounts of money until my account was drained. I know it was them, because it says your mechanic in the transaction description. I have filed charges and arrests were made. Do not trust this company!

Incompetence
March 10, 2017

Set up an appointment to replace an Intake Manifold Runner Control. This part controls airflow to the manifold. At about 3K RPMs, it opens up and allows more air, resulting in more power. At lower RPMs it closes for lower end power. I know what the part is, how it needs to be installed and how it should operate - I just didn't feel like tearing the top of the engine out myself.

Technician #1 comes on time - as promised. Tears the engine down, installs the part and puts it back together in record time. Pretty impressive so far, right? After clearing the codes, we discovered that there was a misfire on cylinder #2, so I opted to have them go ahead and change the coil pack, while he was here.

The same IMRC code as before showed again at the end of the repair, and I suggested that the linkage could have possibly been installed in reverse. I was dismissed, and told to give it a couple of days - "maybe the code will clear after the computer re-learns the truck". WHAT?

The next morning I contacted YM, for warranty work and never heard back. I continued to email and call until they finally allowed me to explain to them that the linkage was indeed, backward. They agreed to send out Technician #2, today. So, now I'm thinking "Great! My truck will be repaired, and I won't miss more work". WRONG. Tech #2 explained to me - after I explained that the linkage was backward - that he was only sent to confirm that it was throwing the same code, and he hadn't been authorized to fix anything.

They contacted me before T #2 left, and said that they wouldn't be charging me $70 for the diagnostic. They were going to charge me for their techs mistake. Then I was told that I would be contacted very quickly, in order to process a refund, so that it could be repaired at a local shop. I had to call them back at 6pm, and sat on hold until 7 pm, with nothing more than "your case is being reviewed."

I'm out over $500 to have the vehicle in worse condition than before they arrived.

I've just finally - after calling an raising nine kids of hell - received word that they would be sending out Tech #1, tomorrow morning@ 11am. Lets see if they can do something right, this time.
