"Richard arrived before his scheduled 10:00 am appointment and got right to work on my car. He is very hard working and professional. Very pleased with his work. Good job Richard"
Very nice gentleman. He arrived on time and got right to work. He accomplished a very difficult thermostat replacement because of where it was located. I would not hesitate to ask for him in the future to perform any auto repairs."
The mechanic shows up on time, is very professional, and talks with me about the most effective way to keep the vehicle in good working order without spending money unnecessarily.
Arrived approximately 20 minutes earlier prior to the scheduled time window. Such great service and a thorough explanation of the repairs that would be done. He gave me an approximate time for the repairs to be completed. They were done within that time frame! I appreciate the wonderful service, professionalism, and knowledge Chris has!
"Excellent job. They had given him the wrong part so he had to go to an auto store and get the right one. Very nice, friendly, and courteous. Did a great job fixing my vehicle and gave it a quick test drive afterwards. I would highly recommend him and this site to get your car needs."
I will never, ever use this service again. I contacted them to have the valve cover gasket on my sons car replaced. When replacing the valve cover gasket it is also necessary to replace the intake manifold gasket and they did not include the part so the mechanic got one himself except it was the wrong one. He had the motor torn apart before realizing that it was the wrong one so we had to go to the auto parts store and purchase another one out of our own pocket. We also had to go and purchase a hose that he broke while taking the car apart. After he was done and put the car back together he listed the car incorrectly and we were charged much much less than we were supposed to be so being the honest person I am I called Your Mechanic to see what had happened and explain that we were to be refunded the amount for the parts we purchased. I tried to explain to Peter (CSR) what was going on and that there was a mistake, he was very rude and placed me on long holds several times, he eventually comes back on the line and tells me that because we provided parts that they are not going to honor the warranty so I preceeded to tell him that the mechanic told us to pick up the part, we didn't do it from the start and they didn't care so I hung up on them and told them they were not to charge me another dime if they were not going to honor their end of the deal and I hung up. A few minutes later I received another call from someone else saying they wanted to figure out what exactly happened, I then explained the situation to them and they then asked permission to charge me the remaining amount since the job was complete, I flipped out, told them "NO don't charge me another penny" and hung up. As soon as I hung up I realized there was an email from them with a receipt for the remaining amount of $266 that they did not charge us the first time and an message saying they would not be honoring the warranty. So they called and asked permission to charge us AFTER they did it. Needless to say we are disputing the charge with the bank and will never ever use this service again. Buyer Beware!
Horrible experience! It simply was a bait and switch tactic. The initial appointment was so prompt that I decided not to take my car to the auto repair shop. Later I was told that the repair would be delayed by hours, but still would be on the same day. Hours after the mechanic was a no show for the appointment time, someone called to reschedule for days later. There was little concern for the time I wasted waiting for the mechanic and now for delayed repair of my vehicle. I was willing to pay a little more for the convenience, but it ultimately became an inconvenience. Too bad you can't give a ZERO star!
Hi Travan,

"I would let Stefan work on my car again, very knowledgeable, timely and honest!"
Amazed at the process. QUICK!
First experience. Mechanic's first available appointment was a week out; I made the appointment, took the day off from work, and figured out how to go without transportation until he could make the repair.
Thirty minutes... THIRTY minutes before my appointment the mechanic, Adam Olsen, canceled my appointment and now wants me to reschedule in two weeks. Am I supposed to go without a vehicle for three weeks? Who's paying for my lost time today to take off from work? I'm not able to reach any customer service person or the mechanic.
Completely unhappy and unsatisfied. Your service is worthless without the people you hire showing up when they are supposed to. Honor your commitments.
Hi Scott,
Thank you for your review. We apologize for any inconveniences for the reschedule request. We see you have been in contact regarding this situation. We are always looking to improve and your review helps with that. Please let us know if you have any questions.

As a widow I'm always begging someone to drop me off at the garage so my cars can be worked on. My problem is now solved. Thanks to Your Mechanic I have an excellent and knowledgeable mechanic come to the house - for a price anyone can afford. He arrived on time; was pleasant and did a wonderful job of explaining what was wrong and fixed it at price that was reasonable.
I used the website to book a spark plug replacement for my Ford F-150 pickup. The online system provided availability on a Friday that I booked, but the appointment confirmation moved it to the following week. When I called customer service, I was told only one mechanic served my zip code - odd since I live in the Dallas FortWorth metroplex - and that was his first availability. When I tried to explain the zip code is part of the larger metroplex, customer service became defensive and argumentative. I gave up and moved the appointment to a day when I was home. Morning of appointment (2 weeks later) mechanic texts and asks what kind of plugs. Send him the part number and description. He tells me sometimes those break upon removal, so he was worried AND that I would be responsible for getting a broken plug fixed myself. When I tried to understand, I was told I voided any warranty by providing Ford OEM parts vs them supplying aftermarket parts. I pointed out that wasnt anywhere in the contract, but he cancelled the appointment. So great concept, flawed implementation.
Hi Scott,
Occasionally, we encounter a situation in which we cannot perform a specific service on a particular vehicle in a mobile setting. Providing your own parts for the service does completely void the warranty. The assigned mechanic was transparent and provided details to why the requested service was not able to be completed so any alternative arrangements can be made. You can find a copy of our warranty at yourmechanic.com/warranty. Please let us know if you have any questions.

AVOID YOURMECHANIC LIKE THE PLAGUE.
I have been holding off towards writing this for a week and a half, giving the assigned mechanic, Alex benefit of the doubt but he's rescheduled 4 times! AND what makes it worse -- he reschedules HOURS AFTER he's supposed to be there?
I don't understand how YourMechanic operates like this? Like you guys seriously have NO standards for the contracted mechanics operating under your entity. This is the WORST company I have EVER dealt with hands down. The Uber charges and time lost at this moment now is basically irreversible because I've had no car for 2 weeks.
Hi Colby,
Thank you for your review. Your mechanic should aim to be honest, prompt, and thorough in every customer interaction. We apologize if your experience did not meet this expectation. We will ensure the details of your case get forwarded to the appropriate department so we can prevent this from happening again.

Honorio arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, and pointed out some other issues that I was unaware of. He diagnosed the vehicle, showed me the meter, and developed a repair plan. Honorio is very professional and courteous. He is a good mechanic and trustworthy. I will definitely be asking him to do more work on my vehicles. I am very pleased with yourmechanic.com. The service is excellent and is very convenient. I avoided having to risk driving my car on the road to a repair shop and didn't have to get it towed. The prices are very competitive, too. I am switching over to Honorio as my personal mechanic.
I used yourmechanic.com a few years ago and the mechanic, convenience, and price were equally as good.
"I was a bit suspicious about yourmechanic offers at first, but I don't think i would want anyone else to serve my car after Jose. He is a PRO with so many years of experience and a "Senior+" level car knowledge. Jose changed my pads and rotors and, i saved almost 40% compared to an auto shop quote. After his service car runs better than before. Thank you and i hope to book him again next time!"
I had Chris from Your Mechanic out to repair my front brakes. He did a great job. The dealer quoted me an expensive price which included parts I didn't need. Chris had the job Done quickly for a good price. In addition to being skilled and professional Chris is a very nice person. I highly recommend Your Mechanic. Chris saved me time and money.
Thank you.
yourmechanic.com came to inspect grinding clutch noise and told me my car needed a new clutch but the company didn't provide those services, however, the mechanic said this is normal and his supervisor would authorize him to perform the job at his home. He said their towing company would pick the car up and that same day and have it fixed within a day. The mechanic came the same day and picked up my car and called and told me it was only a clutch plate that needed to be fixed and instead of $800.00 it would be a couple hundred bucks cheaper. The car broke 8 months later with the same problem as before and the mechanic had indicated the parts were brand new from Kia and that yourmechanic.com's warranty was one year. I called the company to get them to fix my car and they told me they could not find a service order for repairs (only the estimate) for $70.00. When explaining to them more, I was told that the mechanic (Kyle) was no longer working for them because he was caught doing side jobs and the warranty is not covered since I did not pay through yourmechanic.com. This is someone that they sent to repair my car and somehow I am responsible for their bad hiring choices. My car is broken down in front of my house and has been for the last 30 days. I am a single working mother and spent over 570 dollars to repair my car that is now broken again.

I tried to use this service in Dallas, TX. I made an appointment 2 weeks ahead of time. I received an email the day before the appointment confirming my mechanic would be there. And then when I woke up in the morning, I got an email saying the mechanic canceled and needed to reschedule. When I clicked the link to reschedule, the next available appointment was 2 more weeks away. Sorry, not doing that again... Shame on Yourmechanic.

$70.00 was my charge want to know what service was done for $70.00? They checked my battery. My car was being looked at because it shut off on me while driving. So i call this company to look at it the next day when they came it started so in the 15 minutes he was there and didn't find what was wrong. So now i have to pay for a real mechanic to figure out what was wrong with my car and why it randomly shut off no fluid checks nothing. I would recommend your go somewherebelse to get tour car looked at or you will be paying twice!
Hi Brandon,
Thank you so much for your review. A diagnostic inspection is highly recommended if you are not sure what is wrong with your vehicle and a technician will come out to assess the situation and provide recommendations on follow-up repairs. Even though the dispatched technician will use his experience in diagnosing the vehicle, it would not be possible to duplicate the issue if the problems were not present during the time of the scheduled visit. It would be difficult to diagnose an intermittent issue. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Although being hesitant to try 'Your Mechanic,' I truly had an exceptional experience after my first encounter with this company! My mechanic Joe, was very professional and knowledgeable! His diagnostics were completely explained in layman terms. The final cost was quite reasonable, much less then I had imagined. I would recommend 'Your Mechanic' to all my family and friends! Thank you so much!
Answer: Don't do it. They have scam written all over them. Was told different prices from different people within days of eachother
Answer: Good call. They're not touching anything of mine ever again!
