Good customer support, love the gps tracking of when the mechanic will be there and where the mechanic coming to my place. Love the price quiote on what has to or wlll be done for repairs. Also, can ask the on line mechanic what other issues I am having and get answer right in my email box. Price is always fair and in range and o know what iam paying up front
7 months after having the starter break down in my '98 Dodge Durango, buying a replacement from Autozone, being sold the wrong model, returning it for the correct one and about a week of sincerely trying to do the job of installing the starter myself before quitting and having a local mechanic do it... my starter broke down again. This time I went online to yourmechanic.com. This was Thursday, at 7pm. By 9:30 am on Friday everything was done. I set an appointment, their guy brought the part, took off the old and installed the new. I watched tv while he did the work. Something that had previously turned into a saga laced with betrayal and conflict was taken care of before I had a chance to worry, and the price was right. Amazing job, couldn't be happier. 5 stars, killed it...
If I could give a negative infinity star rating I would. This company is a complete scam! I submitted a request for a quote and was immediately contacted by one of their mechanics. We set an appointment and he came to do the repair. Everything was fine until it was time for them to honor the warranty. Now, I'm being told my repair was a "side job", the recpeit I was provided isn't proficient and the mechanic no longer works for them, (BIG SURPRISE). I'm stuck with no vehicle after paying $475 for a repair. I'm telling anyone that will listen & looking into legal action! HELLO CHANNEL 5
I found/hired Rick through Yourmechanic. He was very professional and easy to communicate with. I was unable to be there to drop off my key but left it for my girlfriend instead. He replaced my brake rotor/disc and explained to me what else would be an issue in the future which I appreciated very much. He even gave me recommended service for next time along with a quote to book it. Very easy to talk to when asking about what was wrong with my car. I will definitely recommend booking him!
Seriously. Excellent service. Although my mechanic showed up a little late, he kept me informed and updated on his ETA. When he showed up, he was quick, professional, and best of all trustworthy! The dealership told me I needed to buy a whole new part where as John told me all I needed was to have the part cleaned out. Based on previous experiences I simply do not trust mechanics. Ive never had one not try to upsell me on something. I went to the dealership the next day for routine 100k maintenance and surprise- they were no longer trying to sell me on that repair. Of course they found a cool couple thousand dollars of other things to replace. No thanks, Im sticking with the convenience of service of YourMechanic.
VERy positive. Arrived on time, got right to the job and finished quickly. He was pleasant as well as efficient (and has a great handshake!)"
This service is very convenient. They give you good service and upfront pricing. I have used this service 3 times and with excellent results.
Mechanic arrived nearly 7 hours late.
Mechanic misdiagnosed the problem. He'd suggested having my ECU tested by third party on E-bay. That cost $90 to discover there was nothing wrong with the ECU, plus a lot of time (shipping, processing, receiving).
I opened a case with YourMechanic Customer Service. My intent was to have them at least send out a tech who was better qualified who could properly diagnose the problem. Seems they gave up on me as they have not responded to my latest contact for over two weeks.
I needed a prepurchase inspection for a car one thousand miles away. I was blown away by the thoroughness of their standard check list. Then, to top it off, I received a phone call from the mechanic who performed the inspection. He was courteous, patient and very knowledgeable. He amazingly took the time to go over verbally just about every single item on his check list. It must have been about 30 minutes before he finished with all my questions. Bravo, Nicholas, my mechanic from afar.
"This man is a God sent! A true professional willing to work and test until the job is done. I WISH I COULD HIRE HIM AS MY PERSONAL MECHANIC, NO KIDDING! TAHNKS PHILLIP"
Very happy with our service technician, James! On time, courteous, knowledgeable and well qualified. Love having our auto repaired at home. No need to have someone follow me to the garage for repair. This is the way to go. Im sold and will be a forever customer! Thanks so much! Oh, did I forget to mention Affordable!
Chris G is the best mechanic. He arrived at my location and inspected my vehicle. Once he diagnosed the problem he continued to search for other issues until he could give me a full vehicle health report.
This is my third time using your mechanic and the service is always the best.
The app was easy to use. The Pricing was accurate and easy to calculate. Overall a great experience. The mechanic showed up on time and didnt take long to do the work. Everything was within the estimated time from the quote
What a great experience i had, Chris came earlier than I expected and worked on my car very quick. With new suspensions installed, my car feels comfortable. Thank you so much Chris!
James of YourMechanic was very professional but personable & knowledgeable... very convenient to have a mechanic come to your home... the cost was very reasonable & the recommendation was trustworthy.
Just an update to this tragedy. 4 months after this started and them telling me politely o basically go away. They quietly refunded me the amount they charged for the labor. I'm still out the money I spent for the parts and transmission fluid I had to but at least they returned what they charged me. I'm pretty sure the negative attention here probably had something to do with my getting the refund..
I called them to report some problems after my vehicle's radiator was replaced but the first thing the call staff said was that I had not warranty because I chose to provide the parts. I told them that the parts were not the problem but my vehicle now leaking transmission fluid because of the work they performed. They promised to have my case escalated and after 3 calls and emails to them, nobody has contacted me. I had to get another radiator installed because Mymechanic tech mangled the fittings for the transmission cooler and it could not reused.
I scheduled an appt. 2 weeks advance, I ask for the day off so I can be here. The mechanic cancelled on me and wanted to reschedule. I rescheduled a few days later to be cancelled 3 times in one day. One mechanic said he didn't have the tools to replace the item. I did half of the work with the tools I had. What tools do you need? If you need oil put in your car or your windows clean don't forget to provide the funnel or windex. Im clueless why a mechanic wouldn't have the tools to fix it. Come on. Mechanic crying about it might rain that day of service. Funny. I did half of the work in the snow.
Joe was prompt at meeting his appointment and finished the project easily. He went above and beyond what I expected. Will be happy to call him when we need help.
If I could rate this company a zero, I would. The mechanic called and said the parts weren't available and he would come out around 11 or 12. Then I call and was told the parts still weren't available and the mechanic would be here at 5. Then I received a call saying the mechanic wasn't available at 5 and needed to reschedule for 8:30 tomorrow morning. Sooooo, the mechanic is at work, the CSRs are at work, but I am stuck at home because they don't want to work? DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY!
"Although I have confidence in my local mechanic, I could not afford their quote to fix my car. I was looking online to see what was involved with fixing it and found the "Your Mechanic" link and checked it out. I had a bit of concern, being a woman, about possibly being taken advantage of financially AND having someone come to my home to do the work (one reason I had my brother here). Gary R. Arrived for our appointment 15 minutes early (appreciated). He evaluated the issues with my car and fixed them quickly and completely. He knows his stuff! My brother, Nick and I both appreciate Gary's professional, but friendly and courteous manner, besides his automotive skills. Ladies, this is a mechanic and company that has proven their reliability to me. Their fees are reasonable and you are not over-billed for the parts either. I checked. :D And then there is the 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty... Thank you, Gary and the Your Mechanic team. I will be recommending (and using) your services in the future. May God bless you for your integrity and desire to help others."
Answer: Don't do it. They have scam written all over them. Was told different prices from different people within days of eachother
Answer: Good call. They're not touching anything of mine ever again!
