The company's reputation is significantly marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction, primarily concerning its review management practices and aggressive advertising tactics. Many users express frustration over hidden reviews, perceived extortion for advertising, and a lack of genuine customer support. Positive aspects are scarce, with some customers appreciating the platform's potential for connecting with local businesses. However, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a distrust in the company's ethics and practices, leading to calls for accountability and transparency. Overall, the feedback indicates a critical need for Yelp to address these serious concerns to rebuild trust among its users.

Posting your experiences or opinions of a business thru yelp is fake and a fraud. If a business is paying yelp, they will remove any bad experience reviews you posted towards that business. Nobody should be using yelp and the reviews on it say it all.
Cantrell is the most biased, incompetent Chancellor I have ever witnessed in a courtroom. Her blatant bias and arrogant disregard for the law makes me wonder about the IQ of the voters who elected this woman to be Chancellor. My attorney has pointed out Orders she has entered that are so poorly written they are legally invalid, but she ignores the law and does whatever she feels like. Her poor legal judgment and egregiously bias is serious enough to have her recused from hearing my case. This woman shouldn't be allowed to practice law, much less serve as a Chancery Court judge.
Yelp will only show your positive reviews if you pay them for advertisement. We have 7 positive reviews and only 1 negative review (by someone who has never been inside our store) and they will only post the negative review! We have complained many times and they will only show all the reviews if you are paying customers. We even believe that they are the ones who posted the negative review to bully us into paying for advertisement.
Yelp's own guidelines state that reviews must be about a business's services, quality of product, etc., NOT about the perceived "political leanings" of a business, but Yelp! Doesn't enforce this. A few months ago someone left a scathing review for a good restaurant in Cambridge, Mass. Called the Asgard, because a waiter wore a T-shirt that had the words "border patrol" on it. The waiter's explanation fell on deaf ears, and the smug, self righteous reviewer accused the entire restaurant staff and owners of being racists who support the torture and murder of "immigrants" at the border. I have no connection with the Asgard, but I know as a customer that this ins't true. Complaints from me, my wife, and the restaurant owner regarding the hateful review - which violates Yelp!'s own policies - went nowhere. The review is still up. Yelp! Staffers are politically biased. Shame on them.
This is the first time I've left a bad review. Yelp you deserve it! Clicks are 12 times higher than google and as soon as I cancelled my campaign they deleted my legitimate reviews that they brought to my attention. I didn't know I had multiple 5-star reviews until a Yelp representative pointed it out to me. This company is a joke!
My own experience with this company is that it routinely hides my reviews of the businesses that I frequent the most often. As it turns out, these are small local businesses that do not pay Yelp's extortion fees. Coincidence? I don't know, but I do think there has to be a better option than this sharing real customer experiences. Maybe something that privately authenticates reviewers based on credit card purchases, perhaps.
Business buyer be ware - Yelp will provide a good sales pitch and 'promotions' to get your business promoted on their site and then nickle and dime you for trash leads. I was charged just under $947 for a 5 week campaign (Before I cancelled) that was set on a $450/month budget. Not worth your money - you will not get qualified leads - lots of better choices to promote your business.
The terms food critic, food writer, and restaurant critic can all be used to describe a writer who analyzes food or restaurants and then publishes the results of their findings.

It is so sad that the owner of a cleaning service will get herself in a jam and calls out for help and she doesn't care who comes to help her do maid service to the clients she has and then doesn't pay the person who helped her out of a bind... she is a rip off... service was done on June 23rd 2019 and I still haven't been paid.
They constantly call to get you to pay to advertise then when you get a honest customer to write a review it's up to them if it's helpful or not. Stick with google people!
Horrible service. We listed our business with Yelp since we already have Google and FB business listings, we thought another would be good. We asked those customers who had already left reviews on FB to review us in Yelp. They did. And their robot decided NONE, yes NONE of the 5 reviews we received were "approved". These are actual customers. We have proof. But there is no way to override their robot that rejects reviews. No way. No one can approve them. Yelp is a scam. Harassing you calling every day.
If you pay for them they will be very happy. If you stop paying for them they will start playing games with your business. And they will hide all of your good reviews. Start sowing up only bad reviews for people. Be careful with these an honest people.
Sale representative is so rude. They will force you to make payment for the Ads and did not guide you how to manage your page. Other flatforms will give you advices for FREE to develop your page. Should not do budiness with Yelp.
Snowflake heaven. Social media weaponized for corporate (yelp.com) greed. Humans prefer to complain disproportionately over complementing. Yelp capitalizes on this. Not an altruistic endeavor.
The most unprofessional business i ever dealt with.

All their promises is fake and full of lies
I signed up with Yelp and I was told that the daily budget was the maximum I was going to be charged. So I ran an ad for 7 days at $15/day. Should have equaled $105 right. When I got the bill I was charged $185! When I talk to customer success I get told that they charge per click and the $15/day was an average. When I asked for a refund of the difference I was told "That's not gonna happen" Left a bad taste in my mouth...
Got charged $540 for absolutely nothing. Kiana Davis and her crew called for months and emailed for months after I told them I don't want they services. Supposed to be pay per cliCk but the charged me by the day. It's a absolute waste of time and if you work hard for your money. Don't do business with yelp.
Got a phone call from a yelp rep. Was told to get online and set up an account and he told me were to click. After every thing was set up he told me everything else would be handled and i would only be charged if a yelp user clicked the call function on my page. Was hit with a $62.53 charge after 4 days of this phone call. Then today i received an email stating i owed another $352.00 i had only had 2 calls from yelp in a month period. I do not believe this warrants $402 worth of charges. Customer service is horrible. All they want to do is transfer you to 20 different people. Please do your research before letting theses people get you money. After looking at reviews on this page I see some horrible reviews. Save your money and advertise else were.
Answer: Yes, it's true or they go to "not recommended"
Answer: Yelp are crooks, find some where else
Answer: For one of my business they made me pay for their monthly service which I never did, so my positive review was hidden.
Answer: Look somewhere else. As the reviews here show Yelp is notoriously unreliable.
Answer: Yes they erase all reviews they darn well wish to delete. CROOKED YELP!
