Needed to reset my password, but the reset email never came. You can only contact help by logging and requesting a callback. Well if you can't log in that's hard to do. I finally tracked down their support email and their response was that they were aware of the issue. That's it...
I emailed them back and told them that was impossible due to their known issue and the response back was to log in and request a call back. Again, clearly idiotic. I have tweeted and sent several face book messages as well. I have now sent several emails and each response just pisses me off as it tell me to log in an request help. WHAT WAS I DOING WHEN I EMAILED? I pay for customer service as part of my premium subscription and resetting passwords seems like the lowest level of help a user might need. Good luck getting support for a complex issue.
The customer service is untenable and lets me know that if I stick with Wix that I'm clearly paying for something that they are unwilling to provide.
Be cautious when signing up with this company. It has been 2 weeks since my client paid me and Wix has not issued the funds to me.
They keep asking for documents before they issue the payout. Firstly, I fulfilled everything that was asked to setup the account in order to receive payments for my business. It wasn't until my client paid me that Wix asked for additional documents 'to prove I have a legit business'. After I fulfilled everything they asked for, they requested additional documents. What they have asked for exceeds the norm, so I refused to send additional information until I receive the funds.
I asked if I cancel the subscription, how soon when I be able to receive what my client has paid me. I have not got a direct answer. There answers are very general.
My subscription is now canceled and I still have not received what my client has paid me.
Last year, I purchased a website from Wix.com for a project involving a motel that I was working for. After I left the property the owner said that he wouldn't need the website anymore and went behind my back to get a copy of the completed site from WIX.COM. When I reported the copyright infringement to WIX.COM, they absolutely ignore it. Beware of how WIX.COM operates and be informed that these guys do not accept SSL certificates.
Outrageus! I bet ya they will reply to me - please contact our customer service, well dont bother because I already tried. I moved my site with domain to Wix, with around 6 months left. Wix told me I have to purchase domain from them for another year extra. I pushed the button, only to realise on invoice that the domain purchased is reset and will last only for a year from the day of purchase, in other words my 6 months I trasferred stopped existing, so they sold me domain for additional 6 months for the price of 12! I contacted customer service many times asking to give me money back, but with no response. Total ignorance, money grabbers and scammers! Avoid!
Editor never EVER finishes loading, no matter what I do, what browser I use or what computer I use. Unfortunately this lump of $#*!e is what I got dumped with to make a films blog for one of my units in Sixth Form and I'm going to have to submit an unfinished unit because of this. I prepared a free website from Wix.com. I already bought the domain name from another website and then I wanted to transfer the name to wix.com. Wix.com asked for 14.95 $ for domain name transportation cost and I paid for it. But then I couldnt use the domain name. Wix.com workers give the reason that I should also buy a Premium package to use my domain name which I already paid 14.95 $ at first. They made me pay 14.95 $ and they dont pay it back even if I asked. First they fool you by saying that their service is free but then force you to buy a Premium package. The explanations are inadequate and the postpurchase service is very awful.
After having problems with signing into my website after changing my phone number and address, I found I couldn't move forward to make changes and get into my account. I contacted customer service and they seemed to not bother replying to the problems I faced. My website has been offline for two weeks while I was waiting, and nothing. Absolutely nothing. A disgrace. They were just waiting for my payment to go through for the start of the month. Money was more important than looking after their client. I'm just one person, a nobody, someone they can treat as if I'm nothing. Disgraceful. I am coming out of Wix and moving to Printful and Shopify instead.
I canceled my website and email with Wix.com over two years ago. A year later they tried to bill me for my email services. I FINALLY was able to talk with someone through their callback service and he canceled (again) my email and refunded the charge. Now TWO years after they just charged me $26.+ AGAIN. Now I all the pages for customer service will not load. If I call their phone number, a recording tells me to go online, yet online pages won't load. What a nightmare. I have had Wix for 4 years for my website. It is easier for me to use and update. I had someone help build the website but I wanted to be able to make updates as my business changed. I wouldn't say I was the most tech savvy but I can get by. But they really want you to figure it out yourself and hide the telephone number so it is not a very viable option. When I started the website, I didn't realize that I couldn't update anything on my iPad, which has been a pain in the neck. Even if you want to talk to someone at Wix, they will not call you back if you are not on a desktop. During this time of year, I am away from my "desktop" from 7am until about 10 at night so not going to get this problem solved for a while. I will not be staying with them. Very frustrating.
Support service was unable to handle my issue of connecting email account to paid Wix domain. I AM STRUGGLING FOR LAST 9 MONTHS. All customer service people provide stupid "Sorry line" but no support or make sure that my issue getting resolve. Every time I get the new ticket number. So far I collected 4 tickets without any damn thing done. I am wondering what I am paying for! Harry
I initially had a WIX website. It was not what I needed and I had a Word Press website built. Weeks before my auto renewal for my WIX subscription, I tried to email them to cancel my renewal. They don't provide an email address or a phone number. The only support you can receive is "chat" support. The person I chatted with could not find my account. I found the directions online to cancel the account and I thought my account was canceled because when I tried to find it, I received a message stating that I did not have a premium account, then my credit was charged. I don't recommend WIX for the quality or the customer service.
Wix lacks coherency and transparency when it comes to purchasing plans and domains. Do not reccomend, they also rejected my request for a refund with no explanation, when my organization was not able to afford a renewal.
I have used Wix for several websites that I manage. This past Oct 2020, I started the work on a new website & paid for the premium account for that site ($276). However, for reasons unknown, my customer fell through in being able to continue through with the website. I never got paid by this client; I immediately contact Wix Support in early Nov 2020 & requested a refund of the remaining balance; WIX REFUSED- basically told me they do not do refund of an account.
Eventually, I am going to look to move my other sites off of Wix due to the extremely poor consideration given to me by Wix.
There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE. No agents to speak with about website design or cancellation of service. This is a racket that rips people off! I tried cancelling my $120/year "subscription" and I just get sent around in circles on the website - it says I have no account history with them, yet I'm out $360 over the past three years. How can they keep charging me when I'm not getting anything for this service? When I bought the service, I thought it was for a year's subscription, I didn't know it was going to be a locked-in subscription for fricking life! How can this be legal? I call the customer service phone number and the robot says to go to the website where I will find all my answers. There are no answers. And there is no where I can pose my specific question and post an email where I can expect to get an answer from this lousy "company."
Guys please anyone who had or has the same issue with the Wix credit card processing please rich out to me *******006. In April 2019 we seen that wix is not depositing the money to our account for 6 weeksand later we received an email that our account is closed because they couldn't verify some kind of information which we did provide and we were told that they will hold 50,000.00$ for 90 days. 90 days went by and we didn't receive the money. Now wix is saying that they refunded money to our customers 2 month ago! We contacted our customers to verify it, but no-one received the money. Obviously Wix is lying, its been 8 month now since they have my money. Wix keeps telling us that they are investigating something, no respond at all why we still don't have the money back. We are looking to sue them, 50K is a lot of money. Let us know if you have the same issues.
They jack up the price after you create an account by $100 PER MONTH for the Business VIP package then give you false 50% off discounts so you'll end up paying MORE than their original price! I called their customer service line to complain about the issue and they proceeded to lie and tell me there was a price increase in the last 3 months but it never got changed on the website. COMPLETE AND TOTAL SCAM.
I waited for an hour to get a call back from them and when I finally got one the call was silent and disconnected, not the first time it happens I do not understand how so many people like WIX even trying to reach out to someone to call you is a struggle needless to say they charge like if they where the best in customer service. I feel next to HOCOOS.com they are the worst and so expensive.
Been with Wix for approx. 5 years. Even though their live support was good, reaching support was more difficult than scheduling a meeting with the President of the United States of America. Virtually took hours to connect with someone.
They rely on one form of ID to verify you, your EMAIL ADDRESS connected to your account. I recently changed my email associated with my Wix account. With that change alone, they locked me out of my account.
I spoke to them directly and even though I provided evidence of ownership of my URL with GoDaddy, it was not good enough.
Because I couldn't get access to my account, and because my Wix renewal could not be paid due to lockout, Wix shut down my website.
No problem! I am simply moving my website to GoDaddy who has my Domain. Plus, GoDaddy is a third of the price compared to Wix.
Custom support is poor. Enquiry on payment can easily take 20 business days (so basically 1 whole month). Poor custom service made it not worth the price tag.
Honestly, it's quite difficult to use and the site looks like trash even with my professional logos-- and never mind that I can't actually use my headline banner for the site without paying a developer to make a tiny code change. I'm embarrassed to use this for my business because it looks so amateurish.
The tools are clumsy, the FAQ and support are useless, and everything is extremely basic looking. Making even the most basic edits to a section takes forever due to lag and the extreme limitations of their "optimized" site options-- you get three that look almost exactly alike, you can't create your own color palette, only use pregenerated ones, and even after uploading libraries of photos, they always direct you to "recommended" stock photography that has nothing to do with your business.
The actual purpose of this "easy" web-builder is to get you to pay for more and more extras that will just eat up more of your time-- aka your business's money-- until you're forced to hire a developer so it won't look like a toddler made the website while asleep.
I won't be renewing my subscription, to say the least.

Then I tried this morning, and there is a new recording that saids that they will next be open on Tuesday feb Feb 21st! So. Fuck. Seriously. We can't afford to rebuild our whole site again with another service! And i've/we've had WIX for over 6yrs now..

Answer: One of the things that really bother me with Wix (besides them being so focused on extracting money from their customers that they tend to forget about everything else) is that they make these changes and do not care one bit to inform their customers that they are going to do this, so all of the sudden one has a site that doesn't function and unless one keeps checking daily whether everything still works as it should, one end up having problems. That's one of the reasons why I'm out and do not plan to use them much longer.
