I have a good experience in Wix. Currently, I have three websites in Wix for which I am paying $150 for each, which is ridiculous. Now I am migrating to WordPress finally. Let me shortlist my feedback

1. Good for SEO, but not great
2. Limited features, If you want to implement any extra feature own your own through Coding you can't.
3. No custom URL, or you can say longest blog post URL.
4. most of the apps are paid apps.
5. Full of Javascript
6. Load every element indevidually
7. If you add more than 3-4 apps the site loading speed becomes critical.

Currently, one of my sites gennibbles.com is there, even that also I will migrate to WordPress. So my final word is Do not prefer Wix, take some time to learn WordPress and then make a website. You can find many tutorials to built a WordPress site, so don't worry go with WordPress instead Wix.

I paid for a website and bec my phone changed, I couldn't log into the account. I am still locked out, 3 months later. They also charged me without notice, the renewal date (as per THEIR email) was Jan 20, and they charged me in Dec AND on Jan 8. It's impossible to contact anyone, and they refuse to give me access to the account that I AM PAYING for, unless I send them a copy of my passport or drivers licence! Absolutely ridiculous! I need to block my credit card now, because it sounds from others that they will continue to charge you. I am flabbergasted how this company is allowed to operate. They are unethical and fraudulent. NEVER EVER even contemplate using them!

No Customer Support

I initially was cool with my wix site but that was before I became a bit more educated on its limitations and my main and number 1 complaint is that you CANNOT get in touch with a live person for specific website related issues that you can't find an answer to in the FAQ's. It makes me wonder why they seem to try their hardest to avoid human contact. I really need some support regarding the mobile version of my website and I see absolutely no where to reach a person by phone, email, chat or other. Such a disappointment. So much so that I am now looking into another platform that offer support. I switched from a Vistaprint platform, of which I was able to speak with a live person to assist with questions or difficulties I had to Wix with NO SUPPORT. I dislike having to write these kind of reviews but I feel like something needs to be said for the sake of improvement.

I have not received my refund even after 27 days when i asked them about it, they say it is out of their hands once they passed to the payment provider! They need to chase up with their payment provider to see why my refund has not gone over, not leave it to me suss it out. What the hell can I do? This just an excuse to say to me, we have sent refund but if you haven't received it, there is nothng we can do about it because we passed it to the payment provider and out of our control! Chase it up with your payment provider you are working with and ask them why my refund did not show up!

Gives me migraines

NOT AT ALL compatible with iPad or phone editing. I don't currently have a computer. Sure, I can move things, SOMETIMES, and when I do, it often isn't placed correctly or pops it right back to where it started. I have to refresh the page after every successful edit. The phone version is NEVER accurate from computer to device and also doesn't reflect accurately across different devices and is hard to edit. What takes me an hour on Wix, as bad as it is on a computer, has taken me over 5 hours and I'm not even close to being finished. Literally have a migraine and will need to borrow a computer. It's TRASH.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

My login email expired, I logged it with customer service over 2 weeks ago...still waiting for this issue to be resolved...i can't access my online shop, I can't upload my new products, It is impossible to speak to HUMAN! The response waiting is far too long...I am loosing sales but noone from WIX cares! Extremely disappointed!

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!

Is there an option below a 1? I tried wix.com. I cancelled my subscription and was charged $156 anyway. When I spoke with customer service and a manager they all refused to do anything about it. DO NOT USE WIX. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER

I have customers who have paid three Wix payments and they will not give us our money they are holding over 29 thousand of my money and keep telling me to send more proff of my account.I'm switching to Shopify as soon as I get paid if I get my funds

After hiring loads of local Chinese SEO experts and buying a. Cn domain, my Wix website still can't be properly indexed in Baidu search engine (the equivalent of Google in China). The worst thing is, Wix websites can't be transferred elsewhere so the only way of creating the website on another server is to build it again from scratch. If you plan to ever have business in China, DON'T use Wix.

Horrible customer service they take money out of your bank without your authorization, double the price this year for my subscription, if I try to cancel the service they cancel my domain "which is my domain"

Since I already pay for this year, I will continue for one more year but I will not use them any longer. My cc has a restriction now in order for my card to be used the bank will request from me a pin number... SO WIX our bank knows you are a fraudulent company.

I have been with Wix for many years. I have several websites. I had kept one for around $7 on autopay for over 7 yrs even though I wasn't using it thinking they would continue to honor their agreement not to show the banner ad that is normally shown on FREE sites at the top of the website. Now they have changed the rules. They are showing the banner and they will only offer a discount for a year. Disappointed in them. Thought they had good tools. Not worth it if they don't also have INTEGRITY. When I tried to reach another customer svc agent since the person was so disrespectful, every callback request I initiated was CANCELLED after the first ring. Vindictive and the company lacks integrity. I was going to purchase stock but long term this is a bad bet. Now looking for another company for my websites.

I used this site to buld my photography website. It is kind of hard at the begining to build the site if you are building it from scratch. But I figured out how. Now my site is up and running. This site also has really grat apps to help your site in many ways. The only thing about Wix I don't like is that when you publish your site it will take around 1 to 3 months for your website to show up in search engines. That is too long. We as user want people to be able to find our site the same day that we publish it.

Predatory company

Do NOT use WIX - they are a predatory company and will charge your account with fraudulent and unauthorized recurrent charges. They are total crooks! They are aware of their predatory billing practices and this is intentional fraud. RUN away from WIX.

I have two Wix accounts. It sucks when you misplace the password and the only place they can send it to is the email you brought from them that is on lock because you lost the password. Now I have to wait 3-4 days to resolve and I am loosing business.

This is a very strange company. They cancelled my website without notification. Took me awhile to get to a page that finally said customer service would call me back. Got a call that said "scam likely" and answered it because I suspected it was WIX customer service- it was. When I asked why they cancelled my account, customer service couldn't tell me anything except my account was "flagged." I had never had problems with my card before, but was worried there was some reason why my card was "flagged" and asked for a manager. Not even the manager had the ability to tell me what was wrong. He said it would take 3-5 days for some weird secret department to research it. Then he didn't apologize for not notifying me that my website was cancelled and said it was my responsibility to monitor my own company website. Very disconcerted that this weird company has my credit card information.

Its better to be ripped off by a friend, because you may find him someday, but when its an internet based rip off like the so called free website builder called wix.com, what are you going to do? Bust a caps lock on them?. I prepared a free website from Wix.com. Wix.com asked for 24.95 $ for domain name transportation cost and I paid for it. But then I couldnt use the domain name. Couldn't view the site. Wix.com workers further gave me reasons that I should also buy a Premium package to use my domain name which I already paid 14.95 $ at first. They made me pay 24.95 $ and they wont pay it back after asking as the site states that i am liable to a refund in the first 14days. First they fool you by saying that their service is free but then force you to buy a Premium package. The explanations are inadequate and the postpurchase service is very awful. And the guys will be dancing in church on sunday.

I've used Wix for years for multiple sites. This year, my mom's business partner died and among the many things that needed to be taken care of after her passing was updating my mom's website to reflect that she was working alone. They were collaborative artists and sold their work under the name Malotte and Rae. She thought about what she wanted to call her company and we came up with Malotte Studios. I revamped her site and repurchased a premium plan with Wix. Since the site hadn't been active for a while, I was under the impression that a domain name was included with a new purchase. I tried to assign the domain and couldn't find the voucher for it. I contacted customer support. It took them 2 days to get back to me and during that time, someone purchased the domain name I wanted... malottestudios.com. It had to be someone who works at Wix because there is no way anyone could have known we wanted that domain. Their company has absolutely no integrity. I'll never use them again.

Auto renewal
March 29, 2019

Be careful with the auto renewal! I hasn't used my website and I guess the auto renewal was set so they charged my account. They send an e-mail before, but I have a separate e-mail address for the website, and because my project was off I haven't checked my e-mail address. I noticed the renewal after 20 days, and they give only 2 weeks to ask a refund. I explained my situation to the costumer service, but they rejected to give any refund.
A really bad experience!

I cancelled my subscription with Wix and they still auto renewed on a credit card I ONLY used for Wix. They gave me three days to get them info on a credit card I didn't have or they wouldn't refund me. They can clearly see on their side I haven't logged into my account for a year, and I told them I didn't have access to that credit card. I called the credit card company, ordered a new one and when it arrived I emailed them the details. Because it had been 7 days instead of the 3, they denied the refund and also blamed me for not cancelling all my services individually. They said I only cancelled the premium subscription and I should have cancelled them all one by one in order to not be auto renewed. Terrible customer service, and a terrible policy to give someone THREE days to get them info. Holding a refund on something I clearly cancelled should be against the law.

Please don't use Wix whatever you do, after deciding not to continue with them and canceling my premium subscription many months ago, they still took out over £300 from my bank account last week. I have contacted them multiple times and requested a refund they still haven't refunded me. I don't have a website with them, I don't have a domain connected with them and I don't even use their service for anything. There a very dodgy company and their customer service are the most difficult and rude to deal with of all the E-commerce/website hosts. I will continue to spread my experiences and dealings with them online, through reviews, and on social media so others don't make the same mistake I did and sign up for this rotten company. I'm also contacting my bank as there is a possible case of fraudulent activity on Wix's part. Go to Shopify, Big Cartel, Go Daddy anyone but these guys they DO NOT USE THEM!
