Horrific! I tried to cancel, and they took the money from my bank account - not my card but straight to the bank! They hacked their way in. My bank doesn't know how this happened and is investigating.
Wix customer service refuses to refund the money and claims I now have a 'credit' but won't tell me how much this is or where I can view this so-called credit. As I am in Australia and it's a USA business, I am not protected by consumer law. Stay away from this company!

Pretty good!

I know there are some bad reviews about these guys, but I have had an overall positive experience with Wix. I have been using them for years and have designed about 6 wesbties with them. Yes it's hard to get hold of their customer service, but when you do they're quite helpful. It takes a bit to learn how to create these sites, but once you do, you can make really groovy websites that look like a pro made them. Overall, from my experience, I would recommend these guys.

It's trap

I want to share my bad experience with wix.com, I bought Domain and subscribe for two years, after I paid they start not like to help and asking me to hire someone to help me solve simple problems like keep the spaces between the texts! Or add code for dark mood!
The free call you requested to they call you back all is unprofessional people who just get pay for calling you back! They not able to help you, they read from the web and tell you, so in the end you be forced to hire someone to help you for silly needs.
I have only two pages and they even disable the calling back feature to get force me to pay for someone help me.
For that I not recommend this company, it's almost trap.
I will transfer my web once my subscription done.
They know me now when they read my feedback.

Subscribed to wix. $25 for yearly domain/ $18 for combo plan. It didn't load well; didn't publish well and half of my content disappeared. I wanted to close acct. Had just purchased month before. Can't "close" acct until subscription expires ( in a year for domain!) I requested refund and "team" denied within minutes. No narrative. $43 wasted. But my domain is hanging around for a year... they may have millions of customers but my experience with them. Wicked!

Terrible shady company

They take money without your permission out of the bank and increase prices without notification. The important information is in the fine print. They notify you about upcoming renewals with the expected date of recurring payment and then take money out of your account up to 30 days before, and you only find out about this change of terms once you attempt to cancel. I had responded to their email notifying me that payment did not go through last year with a request for a cancellation of service, not realizing that it was a no reply. Unlike straight companies that make it clear in a header that the email in a no reply, theirs is in the fine print you do not see when you are tired and busy. It is underhanded at best. They take advantage of people. I wish they could refund me the money for the service I have not used in a year and also upcoming year they just charged me for. Horrible company. Stay clear of them.

I decided on wix more than a year ago and have nothing but one headache after another. The customer service is garbage. It mostly has to do with how to set up customer payments and the lack of customer service and honestly they do not seem to care if I get paid for my product or not. Getting a hold of them is next to impossible. One second there is no problem but on the next payment from a customer all of the sudden they can't receive payment on my behalf sometime after I have mailed out the product. Do not use this product and they raise the prices as soon as you contract with them.

I would have given them no stars if it was possible!

Yeah sure Wix maybe user-friendly and easy to use. But man sites built using them are Sl OOO wwwww... and it is terrible for business, not only that but it is missing the most basic of features. It is nothing but a headache every time I open my editor. I can't even change the font of my website. And don't even get me started on their apps... all of them are garbage and you have to pay for everything. That is why the prices are so low. They make it up by charging the hell our of you to use any of the add ones. Overall, I should have stayed with WordPress. Faster, better apps and much better customer service!

Hands down the worst hosting on the planet. These idiots will cancel your membership and deactivate your domain without giving you any reason until your submit a support ticket. Do yourself a favor and find another host for your website.

No doubt you can create a great website with it, but the start is really hard. Their plans are really complicated and not easy to switch. I started out with a plan that allows for bookings and then later realised that I need another one to accept payments. I wasted 1 day trying to figure out how this was done and how to raise a ticket. They make it impossible (try googling wix support email and you wont get anything!). Finally somehow managed to do it and they gave a really complicated solution which meant paying for another premium plan. But now this plan wont connect to my domain. And again trying to raise another ticket, I have spent over 2 hours. This is time I should be spending on my business.

Their support sux for a premium plan holder... go somewhere else.

While they have great templates and a nice variety they are some technical issues I've had with Wix. There are a lot of features that other hosting companies offer than Wix does not. But, for the last 4 years I have been able to find a workaround for most of those issues. However, their customer service is horrible! You can only get support by submitting an ticket for which you only get an email. The problem is that most staff consistently replies with only canned responses without reading the actual issue. When you try to have someone call you they ask you for a 2-hour window the next day. And, then call you out of that window and say you didn't respond. I've been trying to get a simple answer for 5 days with no luck. Have asked for a manager more than a handful of times and am still waiting.

Wix is obviously designed to create websites. That's great and all until you realize that the domain they supply you is bulky and unappealing. The site offers you the option of changing the domain name for $15 (Plus an additional $9 if you're interested in the added security options). My total domain totaled to be $25. But hey, what do you expect from a free website?

I bought my domain and thought, "Sweet! I now have my own website!"

WRONG. That payment simply reserved the domain for me. In order to activate it online, you had to purchase a seperate premium monthly plan which you would expect to come with the domain you purchased!

At this point, I was completely enraged. I attempted to cancel my domain, however, Wix was one step ahead of me. This was the only transaction that could not be refunded.

Would rate 0/10.

This is a pretty cool website, where you can create your own web page(s) with flash animation all for free (option to upgrade) and all you need is a domain name. You don't have to know html or java script and it's a simple step by step process that takes only a few minutes to create a web page of your design.
Great alternative to a blog.

Your website has not brought me any real humans I have literally had maybe 100 entries ALL SPAM.
Not only that I can't get into contact with a human being to discuss the issue. So I'm paying to have my data sold to spam companies and that's it I have perceived no other Service from this website and I do not recommend it to anyone trying to start their business. Free email you see in this image provided are spam emails and this is just 1 day. Every day I wake up to new spam emails from wicks I'm not sure what I'm paying for.

A standalone platform

The platform is good and convenient, and would be a great find for some smal business e-shop, for example. But its incompatible with the larger and most popular ones, so you can rely only on this one.

Don't use WIX

Thought I would buy a website to put my FTM2017 on for my extended family to use, wrong. Wix was eager to allow me to buy my domain name and then they tell me in many more windows of more expense, that no refunds if you are unhappy. Not happy Jan. Classic get you in and then hit you for more expense(monthly yearly), goodness knows what the service is like, I can only guess.

When you connect your custom domain (or subdomain) to Wix, their system automatically prefixes this with 'www' so mydomain.com becomes www.mydomain.com and bookings.mydomain.com becomes www.bookings.mydomain.com. This is completely unnecessary and archaic, but according to Wix it is 'impossible' to remove www because it is part of a websites' 'address structure' (whatever that means - it's certainly not a recognised technical term). The fact is that this is a historical f*#@up that they can't be bothered to address.
So, if you don't want to have www.in front of your website domain, Wix is not an option for you

Absolutely overpriced business tiers. The customer support are clueless when it comes to resolving billing problems. God forbid you pay for a plan and then try to change it, they then keep charging you even though you paid for a high plan.

Do yourself a favor and build your own website

I think you should all be aware of a huge problem WIX has - the website can not be viewed well on safari as well as on other browsers. This is a problem Wix says they "work hard" to solve - but it has been more than 4 month since. They refuse to refund paying costumers, even though the website is worthless like this. Also, they hide this problem and delete comments and posts from their forum and their Facebook page.

Terrible customer service. They offer no support other than AI chat. I signed up for services over 2 years ago. When my domain expired I no longer had access to my emails and my website. They just charged me $600 for a renewal. Of services I cannot use. A
They will not refund because it's a renewal. It's disgusting that they can do this and not offer any solution. The website itself was terrible. I want to speak to a person and I want my money back! 😡 If I could give negative stars I would.
