Two separate orders for D5 heavy duty saucepans have had long shipping delays.
First order was delivered OK, excellent quality, but 2 months late. Still waiting for my second
Order, looks like a 4 week delay.
An item listed as available and continued to be so a week afterward ordering was backordered after order was placed.
They also sell my email address and ads from many companies flooded by mail box.
None, I mean nome of their CSR make any sense. They reply to you with that copy and paste BS. I have proof that the item has been returned to them buy they say another 2 weeks. Absolute crooks! I will charge back my card with all the proof I have.
My wife ordered some WS products on their web site on 12/7/23. She used 2 different gift cards to pay for her purchase, which apparently confuses the system and every single Williams-Sonoma customer service person. It is now 1/20/24 and our order has never shipped and although 6-8 service reps have promised to resolve the problem, no-one has actually done it. There is no follow up, no courtesy, just BS promises to get us off the phone. We will never deal with this company again. Terribly frustrating!
I ordered an Italian pasta crate as a Christmas gift on 12/18. Their site said delivery 12/29 which would be late for Christmas but I apologized to my daughter in law and explained it. On the 29th, there still was no update on shipping, so I called customer service. I was told it was a problem with the vendor and at that point they couldn't even cancel my order. I was told they had been having problems with their tracking. Then probably trying to make me feel better they told me they had other problems with vendors and customers that ordered Christmas dinners for 12 didn't get their meals because of a shortage of mashed potatoes, so their Christmas dinners were ruined. I was told that they would give my name and number to the vendor and they would contact me. I was later told that this would never actually happen. I told them that the vendor wasn't the one that had my money for several weeks, Williams-Sonoma did, with no product to show for it and also if they had just let me know that the crate wouldn't be available, I would have had time to get her something else. I asked to speak to a manager. After a long wait, the manager came on what sounded like a cell phone because it kept breaking up. Probably to get me off the line, she told me that she was able to see tracking and that it actually would be delivered that day. It did not arrive. A couple days later the website said it would arrive 1/4/24. It did not. I called again, spoke to a very pleasant representative. They did end up refunding my money. But that did not help the fact that my daughter-in-law didn't get a Christmas gift. There was no other compensation offered. All they had to do was be truthful that the item wasn't available by the date. Poor communication and several lies. Will not be ordering anything from them again.
Need to donate stale food products. Don't put on shelf for purchase. I'm 81 years old and on social security. Called manager and said needs to investigate my purchase.
I don't know if the items they are selling are just cheap quality or if it is the company itself which doesn't even check the conditions of the items they are selling, but the tea box we received was in awful conditions, probably it was a return and they probably sent it to us because we had never bought from them before, so for them we were just second or third class customers. I would recommend you not to buy from a company which treats first time costumers as third class customers. Please keep in mind we did some fixing of the item ourselves because when we opened the box you could even see the nails on the side and the lid didn't fit properly
Never buy food from them! They ruined our Christmas!
We decided to purchase our Christmas meal with them, after reading to the fake advertisement! We ordered the food on dec 15 for arrival before christmas (Dec 22)…it didn't arrive and we called and were said that delivery was confirmed for the 23rd! Nothing arrived and when we called today we were said that you would not honor the delivery and they could do nothing about it! Now we are left without any food for our Christmas Eve! They ruined our Christmas… so be aware of this scam of a company!
Ordered turkey breast from William Sonoma (not inexpensive) as said enough for 10-12 people. SO SMALL but they cannot supplement with another breast! Bad description and customer service. Will not order again
If there were zero stars thats what I'd give them. I paid over $3,000 for the Drifted Ebony Wood Dining Table. Not only does it seem like pressed plastic wood product, the finish started coming off in less than 6 months. Although I finally called within a year of receiving it. (Not buying it unfortunately), there was no satisfaction. Wasted Money. My household has no children, no chemical products, and no wear and tear. Don't be another victim of their company by ordering from them. Pitiful Quality for an extremely high price.
I ordered these meals as supplements for busy nights and to take to friends on the mend. Tried a couple and so far I am surprisingly disappointed. They are heavy on cheap pasta and rice and skimpy on dry, dry meats. Barely enough sauce to enrich the dish. I have had to supplement each and every meal. I wish I had taken photos both times - but was famished and needed to eat.
WILL NOT SPEND AGAIN ON THESE OVER PRICED AND UNDER CREATED FROZEN ENTREES.
Their customers service is ridiculously poor. 0 communication. Item never showed up, now I'm told will be delayed for 3 months. I called their customer service 4 times on separate occasions who were completely unhelpful. I'm honestly surprised they are still in business. Save yourself the stress and buy elsewhere.
Its going to take a lawsuit for this company to do right by its consumers.
This company is a disaster and would highly recommend not purchasing from. The furniture on display is not the same you receive - very different quality. The website tells you delivery estimate and it has surpassed that estimate for weeks.
Do not purchase from West Elm, you will be extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in the entire process. At the end you will wish you went with your other options like i am sure many shoppers encounter.
When friends and family stay with us, they often send a thank you gift from WS. Getting the gift and returning it are a pain, I believe intentionally so. First, they offer gift-givers the option to have the store available for pick-up at the store and avoid delivery costs. This is just a way to try to get the gift-receiver into the store with hope they will make additional, overpriced purchases. Second, if you want to return a gift, which I do for ridiculously priced small appliances, the on-line default gift return gives back the money to the gift giver. Yep! I had to call to get a store credit. Their customer service people don't have a clue of how their own system works. My latest is an item that I returned weeks ago, but still have not received the "e-credit" that was promised when I delivered the return item to UPS. DON'T BUY GIFTS AT WILLIAMS-SONOMA.
I purchased a floor mat at WS on line and a few hours later cancelled the order and was told I could not cancel // but I never received the item or anything anyway -/ had to call them five times and by law you have 24 hours to change your mind even if this weren't a truly abusive retail attitude — what an awful place! You can't cancel hours later $152.00
Really? And they dispute my dispute with my bank? Just awful awful will never shop there — so I have to eat it?
I went to make an online purchase on the Williams Sonoma website. I have never in my life seen such a dishonest website. When I checked out, I was shown the amount of my purchase. However, I was not shown the shipping charge (which was 60 percent of the cost of my merchandise) or the tax until the order was completed and paid for. In other words, you will have no idea whatsoever what you total charge will be until after you pay for your order. To me, this looks like intentional fraud.

I have been a customer of Williams-Sonoma for many years. Up until now, everything has been mostly fine; however, they sent me a defective item recently and won't let me send it back. In addition, they refuse to answer my email, and instead send me automated messages to repurchase the same defective item. Unbelievable. Will be cutting up their credit card and never using it again.
My wife received 4 decorative plates from her daughter in law. One plate had a black inclusion in the white portion. Customer service contacted that resulted in the agent told us to "keep it". I sent an email to the ceo. NEVER GOT A RESPONSE. Now that is customer service of the first magnitude.
One canister. You've got to be kidding. Greedy and disgusting. This shows what kind of store this really is.
Amazon here I come!
I worked for this company for a bit, they incentivize employees to lie to customers to protect their performance reviews. The company marks up all items based on the brand name and the products can be purchased for cheaper from their competitors. Over all its not a company that you want to work with if you desire satisfaction and good customer service.
Answer: Scam, questionable business tactics which are reported to the Better Business Bureau and American Express. Failure of customer service to respond within 72 hours as promised.
Answer: Because they are scamming to show higher sales numbers. Their systems can't even handle an address change ( when my order was delayed 5 months I needed the address changed due to a move).
