Just a warning to all customers... DO NOT Order from Whatever Works... The site will tell you that it is in stock... It is not... ordered 6 seat cushions in July... got one in August. Called to cancel order but was told could not as it had gone too hard in process... September 24th. Just got billed for first one... Will return other 5 without opening box when they show up... No idea when that will be... Hopefully they will have to pay more in return postage and lost money but I doubt it... Upset Homemaker...
Why the two pages of sex toys? They don't belong in a "ordinary stuff" catalog. Don't you folk have any confidence in your regular products? Why would you include what is basically a nasty surprise in your catalog? It makes no sense. And believe me: this site won't let you complete the review with no stars; because of the inappropriate content of pages 52 and 53, I will not order from a dishonest company... not to mention the horrible customer service the great amount of negative reviews reveal. Buh-Bye!
My wife place an order on 2/24/20 for several items (total for order $130.91. Yesterday, 5/20/20, she attempted several times to call customer service. Each time, the recording asked for the order number then came back saying they couldn't understand it and referred her to customer service. Result: Placed on HOLD five times! (over an hour) Ridiculous! She never got to talk to anyone. I went on line today and found that the order is in the warehouse and is processing. 3 days shy of one month to process?
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! They have sold their order taking and customer service to the Philippines! If you want to be pressured to join their "club" or pressured to buy an additional item at 10% off (which is NOT WORTH IT)... then use them. And if you want to communicate with non-English speakers, go ahead. I miss their previous quality system and talking to a polite ENGLISH SPEAKING person. OK, you will say, order online... guess what, if there is a problem... which I say there will be... same Philippines! Plus I LIKE ordering by phone and saying Merry Christmas. This did NOT put me in the holiday spirit...
AND... THEIR PRODUCTS ARE OVERPRICED!

I ordered the only outdoor chair coveres that I could see and loved from all over the world from Whatever Works. $11.90 each ordered 2 to try out first before I ordered 12. Didn't notice the shipping to Australia totallying $102. I swallowed my pride after many emails back and forward and then to be told they couldn't verify my mastercard that I frequently order things from all over the world with no problems. All in all the chair covers looked lovely but the service has worn me down, so frustrating, and looking at the complaints section about this company, I agree, DON'T GO THERE.
Ordered get letter how prices changed since order, need more money, have yet to receive order number, and can't seem to find out why nothing heard or received, only to hear a lot of complaints and delay due to Covid!
Don't order from WhateverWorks unless you're willing to wait at least a month to receive your order. They say their stuff is in stock, but it's not. I placed and order on July 1 and here it is nearly a month later and they inform me that my order finally shipped today. Now I have to wait another 5-9 days to receive it. I could have ordered all of these things from Amazon and had them in less than a week. Until they fix their 19th century shipping practices, don't order from them! I will never use them again!
Perhaps I mistakenly authorized the Buying Club, but I doubt it! I don't normally subscribe to a buying club for any reason. Turned out that most of what I ordered was just junk and had to go back. I have canceled the "Club," but they are still trying to charge my card and the refund has NOT happened... stay away.
I spent over 600.00 dollars on their products and was very very disappointed. I felt like I was hit by the old bait and switch gimmick. The pictures looked pretty but the products are all made in china (junk). Half the products arrived and no joke, I could of picked them up at my local dollar store. So, I had to lug all the crap back to the post office and pay for shipping again. Note: they offer no free shipping. Coming or going. They are affiliated with Magellan and Potpourri the catalogs offer all the same garbage. Wish I could rate them a -5. And read the reviews first. The old buyer beware.
I received 1/2 of my order. I was never told that all I ordered wasn't available until the partial order came. The slippers are very slippery and really not safe to walk in.
-0- I would never order anything from this company. We have ordered in the past until they started selling sex toys! I called them requesting to be takenoff their mailing list. I explaind why. They said they would remove my name, but they didn't, they keep sending the magazines. I have young teenagers in my home. Is nothing sacred. You people are disgusting. I don't want your porn coming into my home. Whoever is the editor should be fired.
After making a purchase in February, I was charged a bogus $14.95 in March. I questioned this and they said it was a membership fee. I demanded a refund and cancellation of the membership. No refund yet. Today in April, another charge of $16.00. I believe that they are crooks and I do not recommend that you buy from this company!
What a rip off company this. I placed an order and wanted to get the free shipping and 15% off they offered by joining their VIP club... the website did not say it was a reoccurring charge of $15.00 a month... until I clicked on to join. When I tried to cancel, the rep could not give me a cancellation number on the items I ordered and then said I had to call another number to cancel the VIP charges. After speaking to 5 people, I just decided to call my credit card company to cancel it all and get the company removed as approved to charge to my card. What a rip off! Be aware!
Ordered lap tray's, material was very cheap, not put together good and for $73.24 they can keep them. If you return them, you pay $12.00 postage.
Fed-X through the box over the fence (box marked garment) and one of the tray's was broken on the corner where it landed and box broke open. Why it was packaged in a box marked garment, one will never know. The fed-x person thought it was probably clothing and wouldn't break
Tried to get online to see what's new and have not been able to get on for a week. Error message keeps saing that the site is down for maintenance
Will be moving on to Amazon!
I ordered from whatever works and they got my work address wrong, then I had to reorder then they wanted me to do the trial offer so they can get money from me when I forget. I said NO. Worst company EVER.
Computers have been"down" for THREE WEEKS! They take orders but cannot confirm or tell you status of shipment. Been 3 weeks, two calls to Customer Service and they are unable to help.
I got the catalogue today and found a lot of items I want to order... Thank God I read the dismal rating of this company and will NOT order and rather find these things on Amazon
How can a company stay in business when they do not care about customer service and common decency towards their customers...?
I found an expandable gate just like I had been looking for and it said it was in stock so I purchased on 7/14/20. I received my order confirmation and an email about shipping times due to covid. I waited until 7/28/20 and noticed that the product was now back ordered so I called customer service (India) and asked to just switch the color of the gate since the other color said it was in stock. She told me it would ship the next day. 3 days later and it still hadn't shipped so I called back. She said I would receive the gate no later than 10 business days. I called on the tenth business day and it still hadn't shipped and asked to cancel my order. She was a level one and couldn't cancel the order and the level two people were not available as it was past 5 pm EST and told me to call back the next day. I called and spoke with another 5 level ones who couldn't transfer me correctly until I finally reached Monique in the USA. She found my order and supposedly cancelled it. We will see when I get my refund but doesn't look good from some other reviews. I wish I had found this review site before I ordered.
ORDERED A GATE. WAS NOT WORTH $10, IT WAS CHEAP AND FLIMSY., I CALLED AND GOT INSTRUCTIONS TO SEND BACK. I PAID THE SHIPPING AS THEY SAID THEY WOULD REFUND IT. 1 MONTH LATER, THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS AND HOLD TIMES ARE OVER AN HOUR. DON'T GAMBLE ON ORDERING WITH THEM ORDER FROM SOMEONE REPUTABLE. NOW I HAVE TO GET MY CREDIT CARD INVOLVED.
Answer: I wish I don't choose this company. I should of done my homework and read the reviews first.
