I've probably had my Wells Fargo accounts for 10 years. Called to tell them I wanted to reversal on a merchant that placed a charge on my account. They didn't just stop the merchant they stopped the entire payment method. Which I use a lot. So I called today to get that stop removed and with my social security number my PIN number my card number my account number routing numbers logging numbers everything I can't get this done on my account. I know how to fix the problem. I'm going to close all my accounts with Wells Fargo and I'm going to go to a competent Bank!
I have no problem with the information I was given from the Wells Fargo Customer Service Representative. It was how I was spoken to. She constantly interrupted me when I was asking a question and continued to speak over me when I asked her if I could complete my question before gave an answer. I have noticed customer service going downhill for a couple years now. Covid can't be used as an excuse any more. I'm seriously considering moving my accounts elsewhere, which is a shame since the branches are so conveniently located.
Walked into the bank today was greeted promptly by the Manager David can't say enough how he treated me " awesome " everything I asked he helped me with right away. I would highly recommend this bank and David big time. Great experience!
Out of nowhere after 10+ years of banking with them WF decided to put a hold on my deposit for 7 business days (actually 8 because apparently they can't count) because I forgot to transfer money from my savings, and overdrafted my checking account by 8$. I was out of town visiting my mother on her death bed, and nobody will even attempt to clear the hold.

While going through divorce I wanted to remove my husband from the account since I was the primary on it. They said I couldn't until he came in and agreed to be removed. They also couldn't fix my status to make any changes as in their system I was still alien not a citizen. Funny that they didn't update that status when I took $600,000 mortgage but needed that to make simple changes so my husband couldn't run up debt during the divorce. I was forced to close my longest account and loose credit history because Wells Fargo couldn't get their things together. This is the worst bank with the worst customer service!
If i could get away with no stars i would. Never use wells fargo for an auto loan! Begged and pleaded for them to come get a vehicle for over a year and they wouldnt. Come to find out they had the entire vin wrong on vehicle and hit my credit for every single bit of it and of course wont even admit to being in the wrong after i did their job for them and figured out what the issue was and they talked to me like i was a complete idiot when it was their fault to begin with. Never again will i use this company.
By far the worst bank, from the top CEO to the pitiful excuses for bank employees. They must teach lying 101 for all employees. The children they employ to care for your money wear pajamas and slippers to work, eat constantly (on snacks customers pay for in hidden fees) rubber band fights during work hours, they have food fights in their break rooms (again with food your fees are paying for) rude, disrespectful and flat out liars, unable to own up to their own faults. The is the absolute worst bank in the entire country. If your phone gets compromised and your money gets stolen they will NOT replace the stolen money. This bank does not investigate your claims, but instead closes them without a resolution. This bank is know for creating fake bank accounts as i read other complaints so I am sure it's an inside job and people in Wells Fargo are a part of this. I have three accounts that's were cleaned out and Wells Fargo said I must of given someone permission!

They also took the time to follow up and make sure everything was ok and got my money back. Overall I was impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail.
Put a foreclosure on credit report that didn't happen and no one will take it off or have any knowledge of how to get it off. Miraculously no records found and is totally screwing up credit report. Wouldn't work with us when we tried to get help until I got a lawyer involved then funny how they could actually help. Such a joke.

I received disaster area check from flood insurance since the mortgage holder is Wells Fargo they needed to be an endorsee on the check which they received on July 3rd, 2023. Unfortunately, to date they have not processed the funds to date and this is after being told a check would be released to me on July 6. This is unacceptable, what a lousy bank to do business with, when other folks in my area told me there mortgage release partial funds to them immediately to begin repairs. So after 10 days i was told this morning that they can even look at my case until someone is assigned and it will be another 24 to 48 hours before that happens. I rated Wells Fargo a 1 because I could not go lower but looking at there overall ratings on 1.7 it seems this bank does not care.
I wouldn't advise anyone to use Wells Fargo bank. Been a customer for over 40 years, but will be changing soon. First, they questioned my husband's signature on a check, then they put a hold on it for 7 business days. No justifiable reason for any of it.
This is the worst bank I've ever used. Won't cash their own check without a 7.50 fee. What if the check was 8 bucks? Also my boss writes me a check every week which I cash at this bank. Now all of a sudden twice in a row you determine that you have to call and verify he wrote the check. So now you are calling us both criminals. Since he didn't answer the phone you refuse to cash his check. All you had to do wads LOOK. And you would have seen I cash his check weekly. Seems it has to be illegal to refuse cashing your own checks. It's no different than insufficient funds. You owe me an insufficient fumnds. My charge to you is 39 bucks

The scammers made a wire transfer $******* from my account. I have called Wells Fargo right away to stop trabsaction. Then I called again to be sure. They send my money next day despite of my warning.

I bought some furniture in June 2021 with the 12 month no interest plan. On 6/6/2022 I was charged for an interest of $651 with my balance at about $1,000. I was very surprised. Their explanation is the interest is charged based on the purchase, not the balance. I believe they have a very good reason to justify themselves but they are ignoring the fact that a customer who trusted them would close his account because of this trap like deal.
