They quoted £100 but on receipt sent me a text message with link stating there was a problem. I accepted £60 to save the hassle. Then received a text message on 20/02/20 from the Trade Ins Team stating your payment would be processed as soon as possible. It's now 04/03/20 and still no payment. Contacted E-Giant as that is where my phone was posted with order number. They transferred me to the contact number on the site. Spoke to a lady who told me the payment had gone in on 21/02/20... Totally untrue. Tried phoning back as advised. The phone number didn't work. I have since sent a message on a contact form and still waiting. I'll give them another day before I contact trading standards as they can not continue to trade in this way.
I wish I'd read the reviews of this company before sending my phone. There are so many other reviews the same as mine, under offering, poor customer service and in my case they've told me they'd give me £10 more or id have to pay £10 to send it back. Since when is sending phone back to me £10?! I can't see anyone that had received what they've had their phone valued at, always under pay and what's worse is they seem to want to have the equivalent of a brand new phone to give you what they've offered by price. I'll be going to Ombudsman and formally complaining. Their stupid video to "prove" anything is not worth the time spent recording it as well.
Don't use this company. Quoted £210 for an iPhone 11 in immaculate condition but had an 80% battery. Website says if battery is below 80% then a maximum of £30 will be deducted. Price came back offering £41.25. Absolute joke. And what they don't tell you is if you decline the offer and want your phone back they charge you £10.75
Avoid unless you don't mind receiving no where near your original offer
It's a scam don't be fooled they offer you a high value then on receiving the phone will lie about something being wrong with it.they make a revise silly offer but will then charge you £12 to send phone back … ha ha brilliant scam. I pity them as clearly need the money that much. Do sleep well we buy any phones … BE WARNED
After approx. 6 calls and 3 emails, I am still waiting to receive the money for the phone... Every time I call, I'm told the same thing, that it is being processed that there is an issue with a third party provider and they're very sorry...
Don't use this company! Offer was originally £205 and when they received my phone it was reduced to £105 due scratches on the screen. They definitely weren't there when I packed my phone up! See below before and after photos. I've had no option but to expect the offer, I wish I'd read the reviews on here first, as if returned to me, I'm sure it would now have these scratches.
Sent my old iPhone X in bubble wrap and cardboard because I was quoted £205. I received the problem with your phone email and was quoted £60 then a few days later £85. I still declined as my almost perfect phone, it had some very minor scratches on the back, was worth more than they were offering. My phone was sent back to me with the back smashed beyond repair. Do not send these rip off merchants your phone
I recently upgraded my phone and sought to sell my old one. I normally use mazuma as they have always been good but webuyanyphone offered about £45 more for trade in so I stupidly went with them. Mazuma have NEVER knocked me down on 4 trade ins. This company received my phone which was in PERFECT condition as always in full body case. They stated there were three marks on it which is a lie and knocked over £100 off the trade in price quoted. I have the original box and the wires were still in their original sleeve. I kept the original screen stickers and put them back on. I'm a geek I know but you could have nearly sold this as a new phone. To have £100 knocked off the price as well as taking a week to sort and me having to chase them, they finally gave me a knocked
Down pay out. I wish I stuck with my normal trade In company. AVOID this company.
I am still chasing the loss of my iPad Air 2, which I traded in at the start of June. I have received no response to my emails and it's been impossible to get through on the telephone lines for the past three months.
The service is absolutely appalling, I am loathed to even give them one star because I've clearly been conned. The company have obviously sold the item to another buyer before I had a chance to respond to the offer. To this date I have received no response or compensation.
If any representation of the company reads this page, my order number is *******. I am now having to go through the lengthy battle of a court case because their complete non-response. I urge anyone else having issues to go through the courts as well so that this fraudulent company can be closed down.
Sent my iPhone 11 off which has only been owned for a year, with only a few minor scratches to the screen and body. I put it through as good condition which is was and sent the phone off. Having paid extra for special delivery I was told a day later that my offer of £365 had been reduced to £130 for a phone not even a year old. Of course I declined as I'd rather have no money than give them a phone in almost excellent condition. Not a chance they can con somebody else.
I'd actually give them no stars if I could. I sent my phone in April and having heard nothing for almost two months I rang them, They said they would sort out the money for me the next day but they didn't. I have since rang a further six times and heard the same promise on every occasion and I still haven't received my money. Would never use them again and would strongly suggest everybody else stays away from them as well.
Appalling company, seemingly impossible to get hold of despite numerous phone calls and emails. I have been messed around from the start and despite rejecting a derisory offer for my phone, which has no issues, and instructing that this be returned to me over a week ago I have heard nothing to confirm that this will happen. Extremely frustrating and frankly unacceptable.
My wife sent her iPhone 11 off to these people after a good quote. The phone was in good condition, screen was clean but couple light scuffs to bottom corner of case. She was quoted £195. So she packed it up in it's original box, then wrapped in a ton of bubble wrap which I then posted. Couple of days later they receive it, and tell her it's damaged on the screen along with a video to prove it. Quote has now gone down to £30. She then rings them and asks for the phone to be returned. (They do try charging £10 for this privilege!) She finally gets phone back - surprise surprise no damage on screen, however was sent back in a iPhone 12 box not the iPhone 11 she sent it in….
So with this in mind -DO NOT USE this company, I'm surprised Trading Standards have not shut them down.
Got an estimate of £123 for my Samsung galaxy s9 then received an email saying there is a problem with my phone and it said there was heavy scratches on the screen so they will offer me £70. My phone has been in a heavy duty case with a screen protector on since I brought it so its rubbish would not recommend to anyone.
Absolutely disgusted with this company.
Allegedly they say they had made a payment of my device yet to date have not received payment.
Getting hold of anyone to resolve the problem via email or phone has been impossible.
No calls back, no emails back, just a complete void of information.
They have my phone and continue to ignore me.
Stay away from these people.
Absolutely joke of a company quoted £235 for my phone and they offered me £80 when I called them they upped the offer to £160. This company is an absolutely scam trying to get good quality phones for cheaper than they are worth. I will not be using them again.
Worst phone trading company of all time.
I have still not been paid for my iPhone 7 (accepted the offer on 15/Feb).
I have emailed 4 times and spoken on the phone to a young man - all of which told me they would 'escalate' the problem.
Will be reporting to Trading Standards and taking legal action if I do not receive my payment within 24 hours.
Offered £140. Apparently there was wear on the glass screen. Offered £60. No scratches, chips or cracks, just wear, well it is a touch screen. Out to rip you off
The phone I sold was in perfect condition iPhone 13 The price quoted was 269, but when they received the phone they amended the price to 175 pounds saying it is not good and wear on screen and bezels. They sent me the video which I am sharing here for people to see how cheap this company is and as seen from the video you can see no wear on screen and the bezels or anywhere else. When I asked me to return the phone they said I need to first pay for the postage charges and all. There have been many same cases with other people mentioning that they usually ammend the price by 100 pounds when they receive the device
The reasons they gave me for my amended value are
Screen wear, rear housing wear and bezels wear
The video attached is the one they sent me as the proof of wear.
You all can look at the video and you be the judge if there are any actual wear
My device also passed all the 33 tests done as seen in the image below
At last they said they will add 15 pounds to my offer in the name of postage charges and offer me 190 pounds
Like many others on here I have been stung by them and they have blatantly lied about the condition of my phone.
Website said £110 for good condition. It was in excellent condition. They then said it was scratched in several places so basically making out I lied to them. They offered me £70 which I accepted to save hassle. I suspected, if I said no they'd send it back scratched. They're a bunch of lying charlatans in all honesty, so avoid!.
Answer: I sent my phone in and when they received it I was told I'd receive payment within 5 working days. On the 5th working day I received ful payment that they told mee.
Answer: I got through to them and threatened them with legal action, as they reduced my price, after saying phone was badly scratched front and rear, which it wasn't, and informed them that I had taken photos of the phone before I sent it! Be strong, they are rogues
