Sent in a Samsung S7 Edge - still a high priced phone. This company offered me £1 for it when they received it because it had a Google Lock on it!
I wished I had read these reviews before sending my phone. Iphone 6s in mint condition, they obviously offered me a lower price claiming scratches to the casing. Foolishly I accepted the offer. Offer accepted Friday, apparently they have a cut off time for payment, they don't tell you about that on the website, so supposedly paid on Monday but still no money in the account. I've called them yesterday, they said money has left their account, but it is obviously a lie. I've been now on the phone for 20min with no answer. They are basically thiefs, my next call will be to trading standards and I will take this further as unless I get payment today, they have stolen my phone. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY!
I have recycled many phone and it is the first time this is happening. Their phone line also say they are finalist in recycler of the year from which mobile magasine. I checked the website and that claim is also false. So basically they are lying all the way. DO NOT TRUST!
Offer a price which is then drastically reduced without reason when they receive the phone. Better to use iOutlet or Envirofone
Trust pilot is full of fake positive reviews. So thought id post on here.
Decietful company dont bother using them. Tried selling my iphone 6s which is is excellent condition. Been in a case since day one, not a single scratch. It was £140 for excellent condition, but to be on the safe side i selected good condition £139. For the sake of £1 i wasnt bothered.
Recieved an email today.
Your device Apple iPhone 6S 64GB has been reviewed. Its current status is quarantined.
The reason for this is:
We have deemed the phone to have beyond normal wear and tear to the bezels.
We are pleased to be able to offer a new revised price of: £90.00
They are so incompetant. I have photos showing how immacualte the phone is. Their call center is useless and spews out the typical generic rubbish. Jobsworths!
Dont waste your time with using webuyanyphone. Go elsewhere and save yourself time and effort. They get your phone and knock you down on price straight away hoping you will give in because it is sometime easier for the seller.
Believe the bad reviews over the fake good ones!
I sent my Iphone 7 off after being quoted I could get £152 for it, I sent the phone recorded delivery which was over £7. They emailed to say they had received it and that a member of staff will check the device. An hour or so later I received an email to say that due to scratches and wear on the case they want to offer me £130 (the phone was in perfect condition as its always had a screen protector and a case on). Anyway just to save having to pay to get it back I accepted the offer and was told payment would be made within 5 working days. Those days came and went and still no payment. I rang them up to be promised that it would be in my account that evening. But of course it wasn't. I sent an email and was then told for sure the money would be in my account by LATEST 6pm today. 6pm came and went and still no funds. At this point I was furious so i emailed them to say myself and my husband will be driving down tomorrow morning. Yes the office is 2 hours away but i was prepared to travel down there to confront these CON ARTISTS and get either my phone or my money. I also told them I want money for the petrol we would use to drive down there. Within five minutes the money was in my account. Its funny what happens when you confront these people! Something needs to be done, I was silly really for not reading reviews but still these people shouldn't still be trading after the amount of people they have ripped off. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, AND IF THEY HAVE DONE THE SAME TO YOU, PLEASE CONTACT THE POLICE/TRADING STANDARDS OR TAKE THEM TO THE SMALL CLAIMES COURT. THIS HAS TO BE STOPPED!
Order No. *******
Had my phone since 10th December - was told payment has been
Done via faster payments, obviously not the case as no payment
Received. Emailed, told may take up to 5 working days, queried why they
Have faster payments quoted all over website if not using this method.
Received email Friday 14th Dec saying would be sorted by 6pm - I replied
Saying they close at 5pm so not in by 6pm would have to wait until
Monday, no reply.
Called four times, nobody answering phone. Emailed again stating if not had payment by 5pm will be contacting trading standards and requested they call me ASAP.
UPDATE!
5 minutes after posting this review online, checked my bank and they'd sent
Me my cash... along with FINALLY contacting me asking me to consider or
Editing this review as they'd sent the money by 6pm, as they outlined in
A previous email.
CONCERNS
1) They only gave me the deadline by 6pm today, after I pushed them. Originally they just sent a reply about it may take 5 working days.
2) They only replied to TWO of my emails after I had written this review and sent email mentioning Trading Standards.
3) If they sent my cash within literally 5 minutes to me, why are they holding on to everyone's cash? Clearly because they see how far they can get away with keeping people's money until the threat of Trading Standards is sent, or a negative review left here.
I will not remove the review and will be going to Trading Standards still. They need to stop holding people's money that their entitled to have paid to them after sending their phone etc in. Also think their claims of damage or wear and tear is dubious, and shouldn't be trusted.
I would also add, that as plenty of reviews have said, when they decrease the original offer down, push against this and demand your phone back. You'll soon find out they, in actual fact, due to a mistake on their end, they can now pay the full amount - again, trying it on. I will now be seeking the rest of the money owed to me. I urge everyone else to do what I did if you want to get your cash back.
Sent samsung s9, had this phone for 2 years always had screen protectator, i was quoted £188 for phone and once sent to these guys, turn around and told be there was too many scratches on screen, before i sent phone to these guys taken the pictures of the screen and all way around the phone culdnt find any marks and now they apparntley sayin i have too many scratches on phone and lowered the price too £100 complete wasted my time, untrusted people to deal with, say one thing and then do other thing to give you a lower price, now i have asked to return the phone back to me as i know there was no scratches and lets hope they return the same handset that i sent them with same condition i sent, otherwise i will have to take this matter further becuase this not acceptable, i sent these guy my phone jus by looking at their reviews and though they review were good buy i guess review says one story and company turn around and say complete different stoey. I wuldnt be recommend these guys to any one, anyone want to send to these guys any phone make sure take pictures before sending becuase they will never give you full price of the phone which was quoted at the first place. AVOID AVOID.

First of all, I'd like to put emphasis on the fact that I've never wrote a bad review in my life. I have had some bad experiences with businesses and I'm happy to let them go if they can't be helped or are not malicious, but this one HAD to be spread so hopefully people will actively avoid approaching them. If one person takes note then I'll be happy.
It's important to start at the beginning - I originally sent my iPhone 13 to Meelie, who valued my phone at £370. Their counter offer was £280 after checking the condition, which to be honest I wasn't willing to accept so I politely declined and they sent back my device with no qualms. A good and straightforward service and for this reason once my phone is returned I will be going back to them with it for slightly less.
Looking on WeBuyAnyPhone's website, they offered £340 based on a 'good conditon' device. Once received, they stated that they were only willing to pay £125 for the phone, and wrote in terms 'if we don't hear back from you in 7 days then you automatically accept'. OBVIOUSLY I wasn't going to accept an offer which is less than any other company was willing to offer for a broken device, so I called up and expressed my opinion, and asked for my device to be sent back so I can go on with my business.
The very rude person on the phone then insisted I pay a charge to receive my property back, and said it was because I was 'dishonest' with the condition of my goods. Insisting I sent my phone with malice of some sort! I said to send the link. I replied to the Email asking for them to show me in their terms where they state that they would charge me extra if I didn't accept their offer, and another message was received from Sophie with two very subjective screenshots in their long list of pages of terms, followed by a very sarcastic message saying 'I look forward to receiving your payment.'
I am now in the position where I have 6 days to pay this sham of a business their hostage money for my goods back, or I accept their £125 offer for a perfectly working iPhone 13.
Once again, I do not write reviews. This will be my first and I assume my last, but AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Send me back my property, change your processes and stop scamming people.
Lowered my offer by £80
Gave bank details apparently they were wrong (not)
Asked for phone to be returned
More than 3 MONTHS later NOTHING!
I sentry good condition iPhone to these fraudsters who quoted me £168, on receipt they downgraded this to the phone was faulty as the screen and back were both damaged (images attached). They downgraded my offer to £10.15! If you don't reply within 72 hours you are agreeing to their offer. I have requested my device is sent back but we will see if it arrives
My iphone handset was in absolute perfect condition with photographs taken prior to postage. I received a reduced valuation of half! When I therefore asked for it to be returned together with its original box they then said they'd already recycled the original box! Absolute scam.
Answer: I sent my phone in and when they received it I was told I'd receive payment within 5 working days. On the 5th working day I received ful payment that they told mee.
Answer: I got through to them and threatened them with legal action, as they reduced my price, after saying phone was badly scratched front and rear, which it wasn't, and informed them that I had taken photos of the phone before I sent it! Be strong, they are rogues
