DO NOT USE!
March 18, 2019

I found WeBuyAnyPhone on a comparison website along with other trusted competitors which I have used numerous times before. It had 4/5 stars (the same as its trusted competitors) so I felt I was in good hands. They reduced my offer so I asked for my iPhone to be returned to me. They then miraculously increased the offer. I accepted and for two weeks was promised payment. We went round and round over the phone and email, but I did not receive a penny. It took for me to send a final complaint email (from my work email (law firm)) threatening Small Claims Court action and cc'ing in Trading Standards and Watchdog and suddenly a few hours later I got a blunt email response and payment directly in to my account.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR USE AGAIN!

Stay Well Clear
April 25, 2020

Worst Company Ever

I sent them a perfectly good iphone 7, I got a notification to say the phone was faulty and they offered me half the price of the phone or I can have it sent up, I asked for the phone to be sent back, I then received a text about 3 days later to day it was a technical error and they would pay the full amount (this looks like a common tactic by this company), I then waited another 2 weeks before they paid out

Please stay away from these cowboys

So I sent a good condition iPhone 13 Pro they offered a good price £381 to be exact. The phone has been in a case all of its life and a screen protector apart from the last couple of days before sending as I removed it ready to send. They received the phone and stated the screen is "chipped" and send a video of a very bright light highlighting a few very very minor surface scratches. Now I understand they need to sell on and the condition reflects this but they are clearly wanting "new condition" phones when listed as "good" condition on the order. Good does not mean new. So they revised there offer to £95. And for the sake of £95 I won't be filling the pockets of this greedy company I will get the phone back and give it to someone for free who needs a phone. So there is no decline button on there website only an accept so I contacted the chat. To be told to return this I have to pay £14.95 for insured tracked delivery for the value or £10 for return postage insured up to £150. I also declined and after saying I will phone the police and report theft it's now getting posted back to me for free. But moral of the story if you have a brand new looking phone you may be ok but even the tiniest tiniest of mark you will lose 75% of the value they stated. Luckily I took a video in detail and photos of condition report before sending the phone so il see how it is when I receive it back. Avoid don't waste your precious time with this company.

I am awaiting there customer relations team to reply to this review to say they run a fair honest policy but don't be fooled by there clever words. Read other reviews. Google there name and see how many people they do this to.

Avoid this company at all cost!
My phone has a brand new screen which had never been used and been kept in a case. The phone was in mint condition and they described it as average. Be warned...!

Disgraceful
April 16, 2019

As it's impossible to leave zero stars, I'll allow one for getting my money in the end.
I sent a brand new, straight out of the box iPhone 7,128g and was offered £180. It was sent, wrapped in enough bubble wrap to ensure an egg would have arrived safety via registered post (an extra cost advised by the company) to be told that the phone had significant ware and the price would now be £140. Nonsense but ok for the hassle I'll accept that.
Fast forward the promised 5 day turnaround. No money. Promised Thursday after a phone call, nothing, promised Friday after another phone call, nothing. Promised Monday... you get the picture.
By Tuesday I was furious. And reading the reviews it would seem the call handlers are very experienced in how to deal with angry customers. They're always very sorry, very apologetic, thank you sweetly for having so much patience and inform you that their boss is out of office/sick/day off and the payments are dealt with an internal department which simply cannot be accessed.
Avoid this company like the plague. It's cost a fortune to chase them and it's really not been worth the stress. I'd have given the phone away had I known.

Dont expect full price
December 7, 2023

"I had a rather unsatisfactory experience with this company on two separate occasions.

Approximately two years ago, I dispatched a flawless Note 20 Ultra to them. To my surprise, it was returned with alleged screen damage, which was not accurate. The accompanying photograph was blurry, and they offered a significantly reduced valuation. Subsequently, I sent the same device to another company without any issues, receiving the full amount for it.

Fast forward two years, and despite my prior experience, I decided to give them another chance with my 13 Pro Max. Initially, I requested their shipping label but received daily emails insisting I send my phone, even though I hadn't received their packaging.

Upon evaluation, they claimed over half off the value due to excessive scratches on the screen and back panel, which were entirely unfounded. The provided visual evidence did not support their assessment. Anticipating potential damage upon return, I was pleasantly surprised when the phone came back undamaged.

Some of the replies on this review site clearly show damaged phones and understand some review makers can be mistaken, but this was not true on this occasion.

Once again, I chose to send my phone to the next best online option, encountering no issues with acceptance and receiving the full payment.

In conclusion, I recommend opting for the second-highest priced company online. On two occasions, this company significantly undervalued my phone, leading me to suspect that it might be part of their business strategy, hoping customers either won't contest or will opt to pay the £12 return fee."

SCAM BUSINESS
This mobile phone quote business lures you in with seemingly decent quotes upfront. But beware - their subsequent quotes after "testing" turn out to be utter robbery.

I made the mistake of sending my phone to them for an initial assessment after getting a reasonable quote. But after running their so-called "testing procedure," they came back with a revised quote that was a half of the original amount! A clear bait-and-switch tactic.

As if that wasn't bad enough, they then had the audacity to demand I pay them money for return shipping if I didn't want to accept their absurdly reduced quote. This smells like a scam procedure meant to squeeze more money out of unsuspecting customers, who already sent their phones in.

They intentionally hide the fact that you'll likely end up receiving a half of what was initially quoted until they have your device in their possession. Don't let them take advantage of you like they did me! Their misleading quotes and demands for shipping fees are completely underhanded.

In summary, avoid this sham of a mobile phone quote business at all costs! Their technique will leave you getting a half of what was expected, if you see your phone again at all. Don't get stuck in their slimy scam like I did - stay far away!

This company tried to scam me. They are clearly exploiting people who have sent their device in at the amount originally offered but then announce issues' with the device. They offered me £302 for my iPhone X then after testing announced to me that the product's condition is "not as indicated on the order. Due to the moderate scarring/pitting to the screen and the rear casing, the device has been re-classified as per our terms and conditions. However, we are pleased to be able to offer a new revised price of: £ 180.00". I was 100% certain this was not the case as the phone was pristine. I declined the lower offer which was almost half of the original offer price. Strangely a day later I received another email from them stating " We have some great news! Our quality assurance team have reviewed your device as there was a technical error with the grading system and we're able to offer you more! We're pleased to be able to increase your offer to the full value of: £302". Very dubious! To make matters worse, they never honoured the 5 working day payment either. I had to hound them for my funds as I was without a phone during this period yet I had to wait exactly 2 WEEKS later to receive my funds. They conveniently blamed the coronavirus for not being able to transfer said funds as standard however I was then left without a proper phone for this whole period. Be very careful of this company!

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!
I was quoted £165 for my phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge 32Gb). The phone was in perfect order and with NO SCRATCHES or any marks, I have photographic evidence to prove it. They falsely claimed there were marks on it (even though I posted it Special Delivery at a cost of £8). They offered £110.
BEWARE - the price they quote is for a totally unused, new phone.

Previous review

I traded in my Samsung galaxy s7 edge for £124, the phone was in mint condition and no scratches, I posted my phone to them 1st class recorded to then receive an email telling me it had scratches on the screen (lies) and offered me £100. I agreed to the offer as they already had my phone and I needed the money, I was informed that I would receive my money in 5 days but this never happened, emailed them to get the reply that payment sometimes takes longer so I waited, emailed again, no reply, called them after 2 weeks to be told the money will be in today (Wednesday), no money, called again on the Thursday to be told my money will be in my account my midnight Monday, no money, called twice today, Tuesday to be told it will be resolved today, if it is not resolved today I am calling the police as this is fraud and theft, trading standards willl also get a letter of complaint along with watchdog, i will take them to court if I need to and I will not stop until. I get my money or phone back.
Stay away from this dis honest lying cheating company.

Bunch of theives basically! I wish I had looked at the reviews first so not to waist my time! I sent my phone which was in immaculate condition offered the 220 on the comparison site - only to be sent a message saying it was broken (does anyone see a pattern here) I am a bit suspicious by nature I this kind of world sadly we live in and made sure I took photos of it on - off - charging - working BEFORE I sent it. Anyway I asked for it to be returned only to receive it in a standard envelope no packaging with the screen smashed in. Legal proceedings commencing! ÀVOID AVOID AVOID

I chose we buy any phone from the plethora of phone recycling companies because they quoted slightly more than the others. Despite my phone being pristine they said it showed signs of wear and dropped the price in line with the rest. Clearly it wasn't worth getting it sent back so I agreed feeling slightly scammed at this dishonest practice.
That was 10 days ago. They quote 5 working days for the payment to be made into your bank and 10 days later I'm still chasing them. Each message to their customer services department is replied with a cut and paste "Keep checking your bank account". I'm starting to give up hope of ever seeing the money and will be passing this on to trading standards.

Be very wary. They will send emails saying that the payment will be made in 5 working days. However there are terms and conditions buried on the website. Terms and conditions they could easily mention in the automated emails.

Only after posting this review did I finally get paid out, followed the next day by an employee begging me to change this review.

There are lots of phone recycling companies. Choose a different one. This one is untrustworthy.
