The company has garnered significant negative feedback, primarily centered around poor customer service and product quality issues. Many customers reported difficulties with returns, long wait times for support, and unfulfilled orders, leading to frustrations over service delays. Additionally, there are concerns regarding the integrity of pricing and product descriptions. Conversely, a few reviews highlighted positive aspects, such as a wide selection of products and user-friendly purchasing processes. Overall, the prevailing sentiment reflects dissatisfaction, with calls for improved customer support and accountability in handling orders and returns.

I purchased a package with two baskets that said they were green and white. When the baskets arrived, they were more of a brown and white. I wanted to return them. Even though the color was not green as stated, they want to charge me to return them. Operators are friendly as they tell you would you like to start that return now and pay for it? The problem with paying for a return on something that is incorrectly advertised is that it pisses me off. It makes me very angry. The operator had the audacity to ask me if I looked at the pictures to see if they were actually green and white. What a dumb question! I won't buy from Wayfair again. My recommendation is that you never buy from Wayfair again. The reason is, return policy sucks
They said the patio furniture would be delivered between 8/6 and 8/8/2023. Then it was 8/9. It hadn't even been SHIPPED yet, so I tried to cancel. Two days later and the cancellation hasn't been approved yet. I think it is because they never have any idea where your order is, so they stall (even though they already took your money) until they can figure out where it is. I like vendors who charge you as they are shipping. They charge me for something that still hasn't shipped a week later? It's not like it is something being specially made for me.
Edited to add: these people are low. Two days AFTER I asked to cancel the order, they decided to ship it anyway. We will see if it shows up on the new expected delivery date.
Fraud transactions on my CC. Have not removed charge in three months, even after multiple calls and a written fraud report.
I ordered from Wayfare the first time, a small white coffee table for my living room. My handyman and I put it together. We went to slide it gently in place, and it completely collapsed. My first thought was shock, and since I was paying somebody to put it together for me I thought OK let's see if we can put it together, the screws are stripped so we glued it the next day upon thinking about it I thought oh I'll look and see what the return policy is or see if they can help sent an email to the resolution management explained my situation they requested a video which I sent then they said that I had notified them up after the 30 day of delivery return policy. I sent them another email saying I sent that within the specified time frame they requested photos of the damage. I explain to them that unfortunately my fault that I didn't take pictures at that particular time, but that we had put it together and glued it to the best of our ability, and that one side of the table was fine. The other side was still a little unsteady they said unfortunately they were unable to assist. I explain to them that I would not have spent all this time and energy, nor wasted their time if there had not been a problem, no help at all so buyer beware note the table is no longer on their website.
I special ordered a power reclining sofa with adjustable lumbar support from Wayfair on July 29,2023. My sofa was finally ready and a CONFIRMED delivery date was set for August 7,2023 between 3pm and 7pm. Since I had a CONFIRMED delivery date, I sold my old sofa and it was picked up on the afternoon of August 7th, the same day my new sofa was SUPPOSED to be delivered. Well guess what, not only did I NOT receive my sofa, I didn't get a call, a text, or ANYTHING! I tried calling Wayfair's shipping company and it went straight to voice mail so I called Wayfair directly. I was told that if it didn't show up by the end of the day to call back the next morning. So of course I didn't receive my sofa, and I called Wayfair the next morning. Wayfair customer service is WORTHLESS! They told me "all that we can do is put in a request to have it redelivered" and then proceeded to tell me it would be AT LEAST TWO BUSINESS DAYS before I would even receive a text from their delivery partner to schedule a new delivery. So now I am probably looking at ONE FULL WEEK without anything to sit on because Wayfair's shipping partner completely ghosted me and Wayfair is unable to do anything about it! This was my first and LAST time I will EVER purchase anything from Wayfair. Terrible shipping, terrible service!
I called to cancel an order hours after placing the order.Called CS and was recited by rep and manager customers there was nothing they could do. Customer Service stated after just a few hours that it was already on the truck. I said that I was trying to prevent playing ping pong with the item with that the manager of customer service hung up. I received the carpet and sent it back. Wayfair charged me$47.07 to ship it back. I will never do business with them again.
Paid over $3000 for bed fame that I should have received on June 17th, 2023 per the agreement. On August 7th, still don't know when and if I will receive the item. DO not purchase anything from this company. Horrible experience.
All I want was to have two of my dishes replaced because they came broken went on line I tryed and tryed I will never shop at wayfair again never had a problem with the other stuff I have purchased there before but this is all it took two broken dishes!
This online store is horrible. Try to return something and you will know. You will pay to return items. Their quality is very poor as well unless you buy a high priced and overpriced name brand item(s) in which case you can buy directly from the company. I will never buy from them again and will delete their app.
It is the second time that I purchased something on Wayfair with a great discount and they do not honor it. I would suggest you stay far away from this crooked company.
The first time, my item was canceled, and they said it was wrongly advertised on their webpage.
This time, I was sent part of the product but not all. When I called, the first time they said they were sorry, and that the rest would be sent once I contacted the manufacturer. The second time I called, they said it was wrongly advertised on their webpage and that I had received only what I paid for and that because I had had such a great deal they were sending me only part of the product. Why would I want to buy only part of a Murphy bed!?!? Would it make any sense to any human to order the wooden box and no bed mechanism?! Of course not. After hours of research and calling they said the only thing they could do would be refund me after I repackage and send what I received back but they couldn't do anything else.
What a great way Way"fair" to make cash flow off of people and then tell them to send back the stuff for a refund! Of course, they don't care about the hours lost and their customer service is terrible!
The bottom line, the webpage lies, and its people do too. NOT A TRUSTWORTHY COMPANY!
I don't want to use Wayfair again. Ignoring consumer complaints, deliberately silent for a month to differentiate non-return clauses,
Eventually, they lose their return service within a month, and eventually consumers take over for a month, which is a bad company with no service for consumers.
We've made two purchases with Wayfair and I can promise we will NOT make a third. Recently we received a 4 piece bedroom set that had two unusable damaged items. 11 days later we received a replacement for the two pieces, and were informed Wayfair would not remove the old damaged furniture. Well turned out the new dresser was also significantly damaged. Wayfair called and said if we did not want to accept the new dresser they would need to remove it, otherwise we would be accepting delivery and a replacement would not be shipped. So all of a sudden they had room for both damaged dressers. So now we await our third deliver, another 10 - 14 days out and PRAY the this time we get undamaged furniture.
I had purchased a Serta sleeper couch a few days ago. I was taken to the hospital for a neck emergency procedure and needed to cancel the order/ I tried that later afternoon and was told to call back the next day to request the couch be re routed back to warehouse. That it had shipped but could be turned around. Nowhere on the item on the website does it ever mention charging a customer 140.00 out of a 1000 item for shipping or returning. I never even received the item. It was stopped before it ever reached the middle destination for contacting me to schedule a time to deliver it. Supervisors would not waive the fee as a courtesy die to my circumstances and even the employees on recorded calls at a lower level said I should have been credited back the full amount. They stopped the shipment of the item before I had the chance to fight the 140.00 shipping return charge that was never disclosed on the website. It talks vaguely about 35.00 fee for smaller items and only says we may charge larger fees for larger items/ either way, I then disputed this issue and my bank told me to try to resolve this and I have written five emails to executive management and the resolution team. None at that level have responded and I continue to get emails from virtual employees with robotic answers accusing me of not returning this within 30 days when it was 24 hours. I have never ever been treated this poorly by any company. Costco and Sams never charge for returns and I thought wayfair would be the same especially on a medical emergency with documentation form my hospital. They took 140.00 off my returned amount and I want my money back.
We have ordered two different bookcases from Wayfair. Both items were listed in stock. Both items were delayed, yet we were only notified of the delays each time the very day the bookcase was to arrive at our doorstep. Very little information was given on their website. Phone calls to customer service also gave similarly vague details. It was only after we escalated an issue to a supervisor that we found out that the first bookcase had supplier issues and wasn't even being made. Why were we not notified of this?
After we cancelled this order, we were given a 10% coupon that didn't arrive. I had to call customer service again to make sure they sent it out (apparently it was checked to be sent out, but the supervisor never actually hit the "send" button). When we ordered the second bookcase, again listed in stock, we noticed that our first bookcase we wanted was somehow conveniently listed as out-of-stock on their website--only after we had our issues of multiple delays.
The day our second bookcase was to arrive, we get an email that the item was delayed. Again, vague details, and I had to call customer service who confirmed that this was indeed another supply chain issue. The artificial delay of needing to wait for 6 more weeks was actually placed by Wayfair, not the supplier. In fact, if I didn't call, the likelihood that in 6 weeks time I would get another email from Wayfair saying the item was delayed was quite high. The worst part of this is the supplier for the second bookcase is actually the same supplier as the first bookcase we purchased, which begs the question why didn't Wayfair flag all products from this supplier as backordered or out-of-stock when this issue with this supplier was escalated to their investigative departments? From a customer's end, I shouldn't have been able to purchase that second bookcase and then wait 2 weeks for the same poor result.
Don't buy from Wayfair. Unreliable and poor customer resolutions.
They return policy is terrible- basically make you pay to return. In todays economy and with the options out there - shopping with them should be avoided. I'm for one DONE with them
We ordered a nice Ashley bedroom dresser from Wayfair. Upon delivery, we found one of the drawers were not hung properly, causing it to jam upon closing. After 2 weeks of enails, UT was decided by way fair to send us a complete replacement. We also requested, and they agreed, to take the orbit dresser back upon replacement delivery. Drivers arrived with replacement, but with no orders to take back replacement, even though that as promised in the email. Three separate customer service people (including 1st and 2nd level supervisors) couldn't fix that. Rejected the replacement for the same drawer issue. Wayfair reps continued to tell us what they COULDN'T do because of processes instead of working to satisfy a customer who has been misled and sold defective products. I would never recommend Mayfair to anyone.
All though I was a good supporter of Wayfair. My account online was hacked through wayfair. They take no responsibility. I advise to find another outlet to buy items with. Although I have never had a problem before they do not help you in any way to resolve it.
If it's something I have learned with this company and its suppliers. Never ever believe the delivered by date they give you. Give 2-8 weeks beyond that. When you call to find out what's going on they do absolutely nothing. They don't call suppliers to find out why shipment is delayed. They say we'll monitor it. Whatever that means. Oh, so get this go to cancel your order good luck with that. They print the shipping label as soon as they can so you can't cancel. Shipping label is printed but 4-6 weeks later it still hasn't ship. They say can't cancel because label is printed, but you can return when you get it, pay for shipping and restocking fee. What is that? They messed up and want you to pay for it. Just unacceptable. This happened to me twice. At this point I am done with Wayfair.

Answer: Allison, Yes, the box that the floor lamp came in did have a picture of the lamp on it. I would ask when you order. I hope this helps. James.
Answer: No, they will take returns, but you pay fees. As for poor quality, I guess we just swallow it.
Answer: From my experience, this is company is to be avoided. Sounds like your life will be hectic enough for awhile so you don't need additional stress. Buy elsewhere is my advice.
Answer: Need to call Customer Service ( a/k/a Customer Disservice) about any issue. Expect to be disappointed, but they may honor it. Best to avoid Wayfair in the future.
Answer: Suggest calling Customer Service aka Customer disservice. A word of advice: buy elsewhere; anywhere else. This Co. Just does not care.
Answer: Obviously their mission to become popular has worked. They don't need to be a good company anymore. They will take the money and run. When the time is right, they will close up shop and reopen with a new name. It is hard to find a business with integrity anymore.
Answer: Stay away. They do not follow up to make things right concerning your order.
Answer: Call customer service (aka customer disservice). This company should be avoided. Deal with a reputable Co like Amazon or its partners, They care.
Answer: I wouldn't order anything big from Wayfair. I had to order the same product 3 times, and each time, the product was damaged. Wayfair rhymes with nightmare for a reason.
