For some reason lately vitacost has been taking a long time to ship items to you its used to be very fast shipping and when they drop it off at the post office that really isnt necessary
I ordered 5 boxes of St. Dalfour tea on Friday and they were delivered on Monday. Price was very good compared to most internet sites. Happy customer.
Last 2 orders sent back damaged. Decided to order again. Order came in a plastic bag with everything inside busted up. Been ordering for years no problems. Trying to save money on shipping I quess.

First time ordering with them and already unhappy. First, the website states using "promo code(s)", meaning multiple, but you can only use one. Second, the website specifies orders $49+ (or $25 of VC brand product) get free shipping. I did get free shipping, however they have you type in your zip code to find out how long it'll take (says no more than 4 days). Mine said 3 business days. They split mine up in two shipments and one I'll get in 7 business days and the other in 8. Called the company and the customer service person said it can take anywhere from 2-8 business days. No where on their website does it state that. She did apologize and offered 5% off my order. Big whoop, a whole $2.50 off my order for my trouble. I told her I wouldn't buy from them again because of my bad experience already and she stuck with the 5% off. I know a few days isn't much to gripe about, but it's the principle of being deceived and they really didn't do much to keep my business, especially for a new customer.
I have had problems with delivery of items from vitacost when they utilized OnTrac, Fedex, or USPS, however, they have ALWAYS fixed the situation. One time of the many times that I have ordered, some merchandise was inadvertantly damaged and they made good out of it for me! In my opinion, this is an honest and customer service oriented business and I highly recommend you all give it a try!
I've placed several orders through Vitacost and have referred family and friends. I didn't experience any issues with shipping delays (most orders come on the third day), products being "bad", or incorrect or missing items. This last shipment, I did not receive an item and two of the items were leaking. I stated I merely wanted a replacement for the missing item, but I wasn't terribly concerned with the leaking items (the tape they place over the lids and caps usually stops the problem). Within just a couple of hours overall for two e-mails, I had replacements for all three items preparing to be shipped.
I am also someone who writes reviews for every single item I purchase so not "all" of the reviews are fake.:)
Their products are much cheaper than what I'm able to find on Amazon most of the time, plus their selection is much greater. Not to mention, it's hard to pass up $10 for you and a friend each time you refer someone. I appreciate their speedy customer service and will continue to shop Vitacost.
I have been shopping at Vitacost for more than 15 years and, until the last 2-3 years, would have given them 5 stars. There have been increasingly frustrating order deliveries (nothing to do with supply/demand). Deliveries are delivered to wrong addresses, left at the back of my apartment on parking lot/driveway in weather and easily stolen if someone was inclined. This is in spite of a large sign asking that deliveries be left at front door. Most of the Vitacost deliveries in my area are by OnTrac. FedEx and Amazon have never done this and I am a frequent online shopper. In addition, with more frequency, is leaving my Unit # off of the label (contributing to the delivery issues). I have chatted, called, emailed multiple times with Vitacost Customer Service. They are happy to send the order again or refund but I have been unable to get them to address the core issues. An example would be letting them know the Unit # was not on the label. They say they see it in their system so don't believe it is not there. At one point I took a picture of the label sans Unit # but they did not want to see it. My latest order (placed on 3/1/22) was within 20 miles of my home and sat there for 7 days then sent back to Vitacost. When I talked with a supervisor, there was no apology, no explanation, just offer of resending order in another 4-5 business days. The most frustrating is their unwillingness to address the basic reason for the delivery issues. I am now researching alternative sites to order from. I may not be their highest spending customer but I average $150 - $200 per month.
They sent the wrong item and they do not respond to multiple messages. They have non-existent customer service. Horrible. No phone - just email that goes to a hole somewhere over a trash bin
Vitacost sent me an email with a 12 percent discount code. I logged in to the website, placed an order and entered the code. It didn't work. Tried multiple times with no success.
Order hemme iron (only one my stomach can tolerate) from here and usually receive in about a week or less -- great prices -- check retailmenot for coupon codes and coupon cactus for cash back.
Vitacost used to be OK. I decided I didn't want to buy any more stuff and have FOUGHT LIKE HELL to get off their email list. I have sent multiple emails, called them, etc. etc. The person I called said it would take a month. Finally I started to bombard them with UNSUBSCRIBE ME emails ( in huge highighted letters) as they are doing to me. I received three different emails today suddenly from three different people. (1) We've unsubscribed you; wait 24-48 hours. (2) We need your email address in order to unsubscribe you (!) (3) You have to go into your account in order to unsubscribe.
Sign up with them if you want to get MARKETING emails FOREVER.
They overcharged me for shipping yet I had still pay VAT and admin fees on arrival and it took ages, I contacted vitacost and they told me shipping could take up to 60 days which is totally unacceptable. I had much better experience with IHERB in terms of shipping cost and time, they deliver at cheaper cost with DHL.
Vitacost has a great selection of vitamins along with gourmet and organic foods. And customer service has improved dramatically. Will shop there again!
Ordered two jars of the Ener G Baking Powder. Packaged arrived dumped near the front door on the ground. Picked it up and discovered it had been cut open and retaped. Opened the package and found one of the jars was missing. Notified the company. They refunded that jar. Went to use the other one. Found it had been opened! Called the company, they refunded that jar. If you remember the tylenol murders, you realize that food that has been tampered with is a huge hazard. I would never order from Vitacost again. They were pretty blase'. They didn't much care. I'm concerned about the buying public, getting dangerous product! BEWARE! VITACOST IS WELL AWARE OF MY POSITION ON THEIR POSITION!

One star for lower price. Watch this site like a hawk, for errors. The site will add products to your order from previous orders. If you leave and come back to your existing order it takes away discount. Each time you have to check it is still there. I have put in send to my billing address, only to have it sent to my old billing and no matter how I showed the error had to arrange to drive to my old address to pick up a very heavy box. They charged me (pending) for a gift order on my credit card and told me there was no record of it. I called because I didn't get a confirmation after placing the order. I know there was no record. Duh! They suggested I reorder. I find the incompetence at a level previously unmatched in my online experience and I've ordered directly from other countries where English isn't the first language. Don't get angry with the person who is incompetent though, they're really sensitive. If they talk to you in a soft voice and say " sorry", you'll be expected to jump through hoops and apologize for their blunders. If you still want to shop at Vitacost, I suggest you take screenshots of your completed order, track the charge with your bank and keep good records. There's a good chance, you may wish you had when you need to dispute charges with your bank card.
I had an issue with one of my orders and via live chat I received support by Amy and she quickly solved the issue. Excellent customer service. I wish all the companies would work that efficient.
I live outside of the US, so when I visit the US I will often order products to be delivered to my hotel that I can't find in my home country. The tricky part is making sure that the delivery window syncs with my travel dates.
I ordered my favorite vitamins from this company. The first time, the order never shipped. When I contacted the CS dept using their very wonky chat feature, they basically shrugged, saying they didn't know why my order, which was confirmed as "processing" in an email, never shipped.
Silly me, I decided to try them again for the same vitamins but on a different trip. This time, I proactively reached out to CS to ensure the order would be shipped in a timely fashion. Their messed up chat and online email form was not functioning that day, so I tried emailing them using the address I had used previously.
No response.
The next day I tried the (once again very wonky, NOT mobile friendly) chat platform and this time got through to someone.
