Never Again

Venus is horrible all the way around. I ordered a bikini in January and the top was too big. I tried to exchange it for a smaller one. I checked my account and it said it shipped. After waiting 2 weeks, I contacted them and they said that they had run out of that size and would refund my account. It took quite awhile to have them credit my account.
I also wanted to return the bottoms, since I didn't have a matching top. I chatted online and they said they would mail a return label within 7 business days. This has been 2 months ago and still no return label.
I decided to give them another chance, this week I placed and order and had the order shipped in 2 business days. It arrived, but had no return label. I kept a few things, but I need to return quite a few things. None of it fit well, most of the things I purchased feel cheap and not at all how they are described. There shoes also are true size, they are way smaller.
I contacted customer support for a return label and they said it would be 7 business days. I explained what happened before and they didn't seem to care. They just said the shipping label will be sent out in 7 days.
Other retailers allow you to print out a return label and make it very easy to return items.
I will be making copies of my return stubs and will watch this like a hawk.
It's super obvious that Venus doesn't care about their customers and only want your money. They don't care if you like the product and are satisfied.
Needless to say, I will never purchase another item from Venus again!

Hello, I can't post a full comment but please be warned about this place. I impulse shopped and bought a jacket, realizing I really did not need to want it I tried to have it canceled a day or two later. Here is the response I got-- "Thank you for your email, you should look the processing time when you placed an order, the processing time is 10-12 days, now the item within the processing time, so if you insist on cancel it, sorry to tell you that we can't give you the refund, hope you can understand it, thank you, have a good day!" ----They are willing to cancel the order and keep my money. I understand it was my fault for buying the cost but this is beyond ridiculous that they would offer to not send me the item and still keep my money. If the order is processing and takes 2 weeks to process that is ample time to call over find the order and stop it from shipping. I am sorry but this company if being very unfair about this and safe to say I am pissed. Just a warning to all those who order, don't buy it unless you really really want it because you will not get your money back.

Goof sleeping shirts

I bough graphic sleep shirt. It is not expensive, $29 only. It's affordable for me. It is very comfortable to sleep in it. The quality is good. I think, I'll buy some more items at this site.

While I adore the bathing suit that I purchased from the website, I do not appreciate the headaches that went into this order. I ordered these bathing suits online originally spending upwards of 100 dollars. Needless to say, for two complete bathing suit sets they are not cheap. I was fine with that because most of the time you pay for what you get. Further, approximately 3 business days or so later I received part of my shipment. No complaints there. But as time went on, I kept checking the status of my other package awaiting shipment. A week and half passed, so I called customer service. Not only did they not feel bad, they made me think it was THE CUSTOMERS fault. They informed me that the bathing suits I PAID for were no longer in stock, they're backordered. Like, ok that is fine but are you not going to tell me? I ordered those for a vacation I had that week upcoming. They totally screwed me. Not only did I get NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY from the customer service representative, but they didn't offer to ship me similar bathing suits expedited. When dealing with the customer service and accessing my account and order history, I realized the website it not user friendly. The order history lacks photo graphs so the lady on the phone was like "are you talking about piece order "insert random name" *******740" I had to manually type the numbers in to search for them on the Venus website. It could be so easy to just have the pictures next to what the customer ordered. I do not understand how this company has kept its customer with their lack of customer support.

No more puchase from Venus. 7 business days shipping cost me $8. That's is ridiculous. Also when I call to track my order the customer service is not helpul and very cranky.

I saw 2 dresses and measured my self and chosed tge right sizes which is US 10 and bith could not even enter my hips. The tailor should be fired as i considered this as fraud. Sending me wrong dresses which i could have worn to an occasion. Messed me up. I SWEAR I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS SIDE AGAIN. This is crazy. My dress size was 10 and this dress was soo tight and even on my 15 year old could not fit. Waste of money

Somewhat happy

This is the most honest review you will ever read so I hope it helps soneone. I was looking at their stuff online after an ad on Facebook and loved it. I ended up ordering 2 tops and a romper. AFTER I ordered I started reading some very unflattering reviews especially from Canadians about hidden costs, duties etc. So I was very worried, and even worse comments about quality which was very disappointing. Here's my story - yes I got an email about paying duties to some company so I chose COD so that I could just send the whole order back and cut my losses. It took 3 weeks (their tracking service is horrible) but I got it in th mail - no COD and no duties charged to my cc. When I opened the package I was pleasantly surprised! The two tops were exactly as pictured! Not only that I am almost always a medium/small and ordered medium in both tops and they fit/look great! The only issue is with the romper - it's exactly as pictured however after reading other reviews how it ran very small I ordered a large and it's way too big. I'm not going to bother sending it back I'll just gift it to someone who might like it or donate it. I'd give them 4 stars (I rarely give 5) but I was a bit pissed about the duties/taxes thing - seems to be a scam as I've ordered many things from the US and that's usually included. At the very least they should say that big and bold BEFORE you pay for your items.

To make an extremely long story short, the only thing that Venus got right about my order was my Ship to address. The Customer Service Dept is NOT all on the same page & THEY LIE, the warehouse pullers are obviously illiterate, as well as the packers, I originally had NO qualms with the shippers until my "supposedly" UPS RED next day air turned into UPS 2Day, & the poor poor poor floor manager couldn't have been more apologetic, I hope she gets a NEW job

I ordered on line two items, I decided to keep one and return one, I didn't care for the material of the item. I used the return label that came with the items. Once it had been a month I emailed and asked had they(Venus) received it, because I wanted a full refund, well I was told that they didn't have and had no way to track and their labels are not customer order specific, it's my fault I didn't get a receipt for the return from UPS or USPS ( they use both) I thought it would be safe to use their labels guess not, I won't buy from them again.

I am happy I didn't see this site before my 1st order. I'm 5'6" 145, size 8/M, curves, long legs. I feel like Venus clothing is designed for my shape! I got 3 tops, 2 maxi dresses, and a swimsuit set. I'm happy with all of them! The maxis aren't super high quality fabric, but I got them on sale at $22 & $24, which is a good price for them. They have comfy stretch and look pretty & casual-sexy. The swimsuit is GREAT, best one I've bought in a long time! Love the "Marilyn" swim top for the "D" that I am. Sexy yet classy. I chose items really carefully, styles that I already know will look flattering on me. I zoomed in on them, checking what fabric, sizing guide. I got an offer for a $25 gift certificate if I order $50 minimum, so I'm guessing if you like them, they incentive to buy again, yay!

I haven't wanted to return, so I can't speak to that. But reading other reviews has me continue to be vigilant at ordering things I will truly want, so that I don't rely on "I can just return it if I'm not sure."

I buy from Venus all the time n big issues so far before I order any clohts form i read the review so I can see what size I need to get love her jeans line and t-shirt shoes always fit right I which the give more credit line but it all good!

Just wanted to add that if anyone is hesitant about ordering from Venus, use the size chart-- go by bust size for tops. Order one item and see how you like it. I am shocked at reading the negative reviews about customer service. I have been ordering clothes from them for over 10 years. The only problem I've had was I ordered a large in tops when it should have been a medium. I have never returned anything so I don't know about the fees involved. The charge card is nice because you get points/dollars to use to purchase more clothes. ( kind of like Kohls cash). As far as the quality of the clothes--- never had a problem. Some of the clothes are of a thinner quality but if u read the description of the clothes, they tell you what the material is made from. I have never had my clothes fall apart-- even with multiple washings. Their shoes/sandals and boots are awesome and better quality then the ones from the local shoe stores. Plus I get a lot of compliments. The shoes run true to size. My wardrobe consists of Nike and Venus.

Disclaimer - if you're ordering from Canada, these clothes will cost you a small fortune. Expect to pay US exchange plus an additional 30-35% taxes and duty. Your $100 dollar order will easily cost you $160-180.

I've ordered from Venus a few times over the past 10yrs.
I love the bathing suits but the clothes drastically vary in sizing consistency and quality.
Two orders ago I was missing a cardigan. I use the chat feature to see if I could get things resolved - person over chat was rude and gave misinformation. The issue however, did get resolved and I received my cardigan. Sizing seems different than it used to be.

This order, I received a shirt that is just garbage and a bathing suit that just doesn't look great so I'm returning them but I didn't receive the pre-paid return slip in my package. Chatted in with Sarah W on their online chat feature. She was unbelievably rude (and had terrible grammar). Ended the chat before I could even ask any more questions. I believe the order I just made is going to be my last. I'm no longer willing to pay that much money for spotty quality and terrible Customer Serivce.

Finding the time or desire to shop for swimsuit is really hard for me. The Venus site is very convenient, plus they have a huge variety of swimsuits to choose from, which is why I have been shopping through them since my early 20s. I have noticed some of their sizes have gotten bigger through the years, I guess it's to keep up with the "contemporary sizing" that other companies are doing (in other words, what used to be a size Zero is a size 4 today). I suggest when ordering, you order in 2 sizes. That way you can return the ones that don't fit. Also, like most companies, their clothes are shown on tall models, which means if you're 5'4" or shorter, the hems will look longer on you. I also recommend that you be very meticulous about your returns. In other words, know exactly how much you're supposed to get refunded, & check your order history online to make sure it's correct. I did notice on my last return they charged me $69.00 for the shipping label fee, when it should've been $6.95. When I called customer service, they gave me no problems and immediately refunded the full $69.00. The overall quality of their clothes have greatly improved through the years too. I have been their customer for years and I think I finally figured out how to order from them. If it weren't for the refund issue, I'd have given them Five Stars.

Ripping me off!
February 9, 2021

I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEN AGAIN. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. TERRIBLE RETURN POLICY! Ordered swim wear that was on sale 3 pieces were good and 3 were very poor quality so i send back for a V credit with their returnable label that was included. I was supposed to get over $40 v credit and got $0 YES $0 dollars back! When i emailed they said sales are not returnable! How i was supposed to know that? Also if they are not returnable why are you including return label? Also why would you keep my items than? Do you resale them? Or what happens to it? I want my money back or credit or the items i payed for. Why would i be sending them to you if i get nothing back? Shame on you for ripping off a single mother!

Wrong order received
April 27, 2018

I received my order on Friday April 27th and was planning to wear the $50+ dress that I ordered for my best friends wedding on the next day, Saturday April 28th. When I opened the package, I found that it was the wrong order that was shipped to me. The packing slip stated that it was supposed to be delivered to Lexington, KY. Therefore, I had no dress to wear to the wedding and was left with less than 24 hours to find something to wear. I called VENUS immediately and was told to return the item, and there was nothing they could do. I will NEVER order from this company again nor advise anyone to order from them.
