Time travel
April 17, 2019

I booked a ticket to Paris for the summer and had difficulties with Vayama (both rudimentary service issues and customer service promptness) immediately. Vayama took over a week to charge my credit card for the ticket (and didn't respond to my repeated email inquiries about the reason for the delay). Even worse, one month later, they summarily changed my ticket so that I arrived in Toronto two hours after my connecting flight to Paris left. When I complained that they needed to fix this immediately, I received the infuriating PR pabulum that they're not always able to find "good options" as a result of the "rules of the airline." Apparently, the "rules of the airline" make time travel possible as well. I found a ticket (on the same airline on the same day) with less than 30 seconds of work, so this error rises to a level of rank incompetence. Frankly, I think it's tantamount to fraud: if I'd just ignored or not paid attention to the details of the schedule change announcement, Vayama would have stranded me in Toronto (and this is work trip, not some vacation jaunt). The fact that I'm still waiting for a revised e-ticket only further cements their utter lack of not just professionalism, but competence. I really cannot dissuade readers enough: this is a level of fraud and malfeasance that extends beyond the usual cruelty of travel companies and airlines.

I called the Hong Kong Airline on Aug 24th (Thursday) to check the actual official status of our ticket after we were being informed that our ticket has already been "cancelled". The Hong Kong Airline Supervisor affirmed us that our ticket is NOT cancelled, it's still under my name, IT IS ELIGIBLE for schedule-change, and since we bought the ticket from you, a third-party company, we can ONLY process the ticket from your end. We've then called your customer service on the same day three times to express our wish to restore the "cancelled" ticket, however, my calls were rudely hanged up by your assistants twice with them constantly voicing over me, interrupting me, and most importantly, still lying to me that my ticket is "cancelled" even after I told them I have called the airline. I have the call recorded.

Our family use Vayama for long time, not all purchases went smoothly through them but they helped in the past with any our problems. But not in this time, I do not know what happened with this company, but I see huge difference in Customer Service in comparison to the past. Ordered the flight, after couple days receive the Cancelation email, with no explanation. Tried to call to them and talk with represantatives, each time they give me different reasons for cancellation, I ask them about help to buy tiket again, (becouse they locked up my account with no reason!), they did not want to help at all! When I ask to talk with superviser, they just hang up phone(two times!). This is stresfull situation and they did not want to help, they just kick of customer! I had bougt the same ticket through different company and never come back to VAYAMA again! Avoid stress and DO NOT book through this company!

I had a very bad experience with Vayama.
I booked flight from Thailand to USA one way, and it's not quite cheap. Due to the spread of Coronavirus, I'm not able to travel, so I decided to cancel my flight. I submitted the cancellation request online following Vayama online instruction, never succeeded. I tried to call the customer service number almost everyday for 1 week, the call NEVER went through. I sent customer service an email on Vayama website, it showed I never sent the message. What a dumb website. Overall, I'm not happy with their customer service at all, and I DO NOT recommend Vayama. Actually this is the WORST booking company I've ever seen.
Here is a list of reasons:
1. Bad customer service. They never care about the customers. Their bad service made me think all they care is to take the money upfront, if any customer needs any assistance afterword, it's not their business.
2. Cheat on customer. What I mean is the ticket conditions. On their website it shows for any cancellation of changing, there is a standard fee charge, which is reasonable. However, if you really want to change or cancel, they will tell you: your ticket is not refundable, even though you want to cancel within 24 hours of booking.
3. Many people initially wanted to choose Vayama because they may have good deals. But if you look closely, there are HIDDEN fees. Don't get tricked. This happened to me, I learnt my lesson the hard way.

I can only recommend Vayama for people who are seasoned travelers with a lot of experience and patience. I booked round trip airfare from LA to Cambodia for less than $900 with Vayama. There was an airline change in a country that I did not have a visa for and I was concerned whther or not my luggage would transfer. I called the two airlines first and got conflicting information. I then called Vayama. What a waste of time that was. The representative asked me what I expected him to do! He would not call the airlines on my behalf as he said they have nobody to call and that I was calling a "call in" center. He also stated that Vayama is not responsible for luggage policies. At that point I reminded him that I had paid Vayama to get me AND MY LUGGAGE to my final destination. Still the only answer he could give me was "what do you want me to do?"

Through my own efforts everything worked out fine but it was a bit nerve wracking, no thanks to Vayama. Would I use them again? Possibly if it is a route I am familiar with a the savings is huge. Otherwise I would say stay away from them. They are nothing more than a clearing house.

HORRIBLE COMPANY
August 7, 2020

VAYAMA IS SOOOOO BAD AT WHAT THEY DO. I booked a trip in March, and due to the pandemic everything got cancelled which is FINE. But then, after 10 emails, infinite phone calls, and 6 months later I still have NOT RECEIVED. Refund for my $700 TICKET. I purchased trip insurance, I didn't mess up the ticket or anything like that, I did everything perfect on my end and they HAVE NOT CONTACTED ME WITH AN ACTUAL PERSON, or HELPED ME... THIS COMPANY IS a scam, and steal money. I travel at least once a month before pandemic and saw an affordable flight on vayama and I was dumb to use it. I should have stuck with my usual real airlines and paid a little more, because I would have a refund, I would of had better service and I would have spoken with a real person.

Don't do it, I know you are tempted but DONT DO IT.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Their customer service is off-shored, answered by some Indian people with terrible accent. I could barely understand.

I canceled my ticket back in June. They charged me a $300 cancelation fee right away and said they will refund the ticket... NOW is 12/14/2018, STILL NO REFUND.
I have called SO SO MANY TIMES. Some of the times i were put on hold for like 45 mins with no warnings what so ever.
They said they "processed" a refund back in August, but I didnt receive anything. I even went to my bank and they said they cant find it. I called them back and and they said they they will initiate another refund, and its been more than 5 days and still nothing.
Unprofessional customer service. Kept giving me the wrong information.

The ticket was $1100 and they charged me $300 cancelation fee when I canceled the ticket and every time I asked how much is my refund, they would say $800... then I argued with them and they back-peddling...

Cheap flight tickets are a big scam! They change the flight timings after booking very often and wouldn't even cancel the ticket when requested. Feels like a very dishonest company.

Booked flights in January 10 months in advance through Vayama to Madrid Spain Octiober to leave on a Wednesday arriving in Madrid Thursday. By July, four different flight changes came through requesting confirmation. The last change was a three day two night layover in Zurich Switzerland leaving on Sunday. Who was going to cover the expense of this layover plus the fact it did not work for my wife and I. So contacted Vayama to discuss options. Customer service was not helpful so ended up wanting to cancel the trip was told there was no superior available on a Wednesday afternoon to speak with. Was also told to contact the airline which clearly states in Vayamas conditions to contact Vayama directly for any change or cancelations. This has been a total nightmare and am still working with my credit card company to get reimbursement of funds. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I will rate them 0 for their services.
I really had very bad experiences with them. Few days before my travel to Mumbai from Chicago via Dubai with Emirates, I called them for baggage confirmation. They told me that I can take 2 Pieces of 23 kg and 1 Carry on and 1 laptop bag with me. I asked for written confirmation and they refused to do it, They said it wont have any problem while travelling. While coming back from Mumbai to chicago, at the emirates counter, emirates told me that I can take either carry on or laptop bag with me, So I had to put things of my carry on bag in my luggage bag and it became overweight. As we were 2 passengers, it happened for both of us. We had to pay INR ******* for extra weight.

When I called Vayama people, they are not doing anything. They are just saying that its not their mistake. They said, its airlines who always change their baggage policies. But vayama people should have correct information with them. Even if they change their policies, it needs to conveyed to passengers from Vayama. It was totally their mistake as they gave wrong information to customer and because of that i had to pay ******* for the luggage.

They are just worst people. The one to whom i called from Vayama support was the worst customer support I ever found. He just cut the call without listening to me.

Seriously beware of these people. Do not Buy tickets from them.

STAY AWAY FROM VAYAMA
April 30, 2018

Stay away from this ''ghost company'' Vayama. Today april 30th i bought a plane ticket from Bucharest to sacramento california, the plane ticket was for the date of may 22nd. As soon as they (vayama) charged my card and took the money they did not send me any e-ticket confirmation number... nothing at all but a made up VUS nr... whatever that is. It's a scam company, probably from India(i called them at least 7-8 times trying to solve the issue), i got different answers every time... different info from different scammers working for this BS company. PLEASE GOOD PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM THEM! They say the air carrier cancelled the flight, then they come up with more lies saying they will refund the money back within 3-5 days. It is all a scam. My mistake was i did not check the forum reviews about VAYAMA. IT IS THE WORST THIRD PARTY COMPANY ONLINE. STAY AWAY FROM VAYAMA
I CAN NOT GIVE THEM NOT EVEN ONE STAR BUT IF I DON'T THE WEBSITE WON'T LET ME POST THIS.

Unethical company
August 19, 2020

Vayama abandoned us in Greece in the middle of our trip this year. They never even told us our flights were cancelled. I had to find out for myself. I tried to call and email them since January when I found out that my flight had been cancelled by the airline. My emails were replied to with a standard response saying that I don't have to do anything and they will fix us up a month before my flight, which was supposed to be in May. I sent several emails, as their phone didnt work, and got the same standard response. They never contacted me until I finally got back home after buying another ticket from another airline in June. They contacted me in August after I disputed their charge with my credit card. They said since there was a dispute they couldn't do anything until I dropped the dispute. I told them since they only contacted me three months after my scheduled return when I disputed them that they should give me a refund then i'll drop the dispute. I doubt i'll ever hear from them again.
This is an unethical business that everyone should stay away from!

Hello everyone,
Before this experience vayama used to be a site that I respected somewhat, having used it a couple of times and having had good experiences.

On this particular trip, we booked a two way flight with lufthansa. As we couldn't make the inbound flight, I called vayama support trying to change it but didn't find any options, so we decided to simply use the return flight.

Apparently however, in case of no-shows lufthansa cancels the entire flight, including the return trip.

We were blissfully unaware of this until the day before our return trip. I tried checking in online via vayama, but kept getting errors on their site. I called them, and was, frankly quite rudely, told that there is nothing vayama can do for me. There was not even an offer for vayama to try to book another return flight for us, the person on the other end of the line literally started getting aggravated and kept telling me he was going to hang up on me. I frankly lost it, and after a very sincere expletive I hung up on him.

We ended up booking a flight with Portugal airlines.

Ultiimately the entire $1600 booking via vayama was lost, and there was absolutely 0 communication from Vayama about the no show cancellation. There was literally nothing. Not an email, not a phone call, not a warning on their webpage after logging in with the booking reference they sent me.

I frankly do not blame vayama for lufthansa's policy, but after seeing the complete lack of respect or consideration for their customers, I am obviously never ever using them again.

Good luck to everyone else and happy flying.
Vlad

Absolutely the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Booked a flight, from Brussels to the USA through vayama. Unfortunately, I had a death in the family and was unable to take my trip. Vayama offered no help to cancel my flight that I booked through them and told me they would not help. Their customer service has repeatedly been extremely rude and when I asked to speak to a supervisor was told that they would not want to speak to me. They told me I had to cancel my flight directly through the airline TUI Fly. So they cannot help with anything such as flight changes or cancellations, in fact they repeatedly gave me the wrong phone numbers and contact info for the airlines and none of the reservation numbers they repeatedly gave me matched any records at the Airlines. So, I unfortunately had to continue to contact their insistently rude customer service in order to finally get only some of the information I needed. On top of the death of my brother that I had to deal with, I had to be verbally abused and mistreated by this company repeatedly just to make simple cancellation. Avoid this company at all costs! And I will also be avoiding any other company that does business with them.
