The representative just unresponsively told me that the property I inquired doesn't allow short-term rental, which is totally wrong. And she even said, "at this point, I have to end this call, because I don't think this conversation is going to be productive".

Before hanging up the call, I just said you should be responsible for everything you said to the client, you need to know the fact really well before you even say that, it just shows how unprofessional you are.

I had a horrible experience with my Airbnb
Amanda, my contact at Bacasa messaged very brifly and then ghosted me. She did not answe her phone, call me back, or return messages. The telephone number for her that was sent in my email was incorrect. Another representative gave me her correct phone number.

Not happy

Vacasa is pretty much the only resource for my family to rent a condo in OC Maryland which sucks because they suck. They charge exorbitant fees and offer no amenities. No linen service. LATE check in at 4pm which takes up your while first day and seems unnecessary to me since check out is 10am. They're a greedy company and it's too bad condo owners in OCMD have to use them. Customer service is terrible. The check in people are always grumpy and treat you like an annoyance.

Terrible Company

I would give zero stars if that was possible. I have had terrible experience with Vacasa and would high recommend not renting with them, save your time and go through Airbnb or VRBO. Vacasa bought out Wyndham vacation rentals and is scamming my family out of our deposit and renters insurance as we are trying to cancel due to covid - we cannot travel due to half our party working in the health care industry and we cannot quarantine without losing our jobs when we get back. We've called several times, were on hold for over four hours each time, and never got a straight answer when we asked if they would honor the travel insurance we bought through Wyndham back in February. Vacasa's website and renters agreement says we would get our full refund back if we canceled 30 days before our vacation and that's what we're trying to do, but they are scamming us out of our full refund and saying they have to follow Wyndham policy, when it doesn't even exist. Horrible, stressful experience.

If you employe Vacasa to manage your rental property and it's destroyed well that what you deserve for not reading the reviews.
Absolutely the worst rental agency in the United States.
They don't vet your clients. They don't return calls. They do not care.

Vacation was cancelled during COVID when all flights were grounded. They wouldn't refund but did provide credit for 6 months. With travel restrictions in place still after 6 months they agreed to provide credit again with no deadline for use listed in confirmation email. Trying to book travel now and they are saying credit as expired (even after they acknowledged their email had not said there was an expiration). Lost over $4,000 USD. Oh, and they tried to lie when they said they "couldnt honor the credit as we are a public company and the SEC won't allow it" they really do think that people are dumb enough to believe that?!?! Wonder of the SEC knows that this company is blaming them when they shaft their customers. #SEC

House was disappointing. Not really clean. My son had to clean the bathroom and kitchen floors and had to wash floor mats before letting his kids play on the floor. The master bath shower curtain was moldy/stained. Some window blinds were broken. Floor molding was coming loose. The yard was dry and dusty (probably why the place wasn't really clean). The house needs an update to support the high price I paid.

Not sure I would trust Vacasa on a future home rental.

This condo is spacious and well equipped. The kitchen had everything and more to make meal preparation easy and convenient. The loft has a beautiful lanai from which we took in sunsets each night. The furnishings and decor have that tropical vibe that we want when staying in Hawaii. The pool with its ocean view is a place to spend all day. We loved the proximity to Poipu Beach and the easy access by walking. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Kauai! Aloha!

Never again!

We booked a condo in July 22. We were so excited! It was ocean front 1st floor, practically on the dune! About 1.5 months before we were supposed to leave they canceled it on us. They're substitute was nothing like what we originally picked out so I told them that. They found something better but just ok. Whatever. I guess at least we're still going. Nope! About a week before we leave, that one is unavailable! I was livid! We ended up taking a 7th floor condo with a side view of the ocean. I would've chosen a completely different beach if that's all that was available there but it was too late to change the rest of our vacation details so we sucked it up. I'll never take the chance of a ruined vacation with them again!

DO NOT rent from Vacasa!
It takes a lot to get me fired up, but I woke up at 3am freezing because the cabin heat is off again!
****I was on hold 50 minutes before I got a live person…. And I was told it's after hours and they will NOT send anyone to fix the heat until after 10am!
Btw…. We check out at 10am.
My only heat source is a fireplace that is set to a timer. So I have to stay up to continue turning on the fireplace to keep it warm-ish for my kids…. Then drive home on 4 hours of sleep!
Please share!
Things happen like heat going out, but this company does not take care of their guests!
Over $500 for 2 nights and this is the 2nd time with no heat…. But this time they won't fix it because it's "after business hours".
It is currently 24 degrees outside!
I asked for a partial refund…. I was told their refund limit is $100 but he would have to submit that form for approval.

Worse Customer Service Ever!

I booked a weekend for my husbands birthday and the room was horribe. Called 4 times, texts sent and pictures- was told we'd get a call back w/i an hour to assist us. 2 hours later no help. Couldn't stay there. Seahorse 2H in Lincoln City is awful. 24 hours later still no call back.

They cancelled my reservation for a beach house called The Salt Life in Navarre Beach, Florida. This beach house was reserved for our wedding and our wedding party was going to be staying there. They told us when we booked it a month before the wedding (due to another beach house canceling on us due to hurricane damage) that this beach house had no damage and would be ready for our wedding. We talked to them 2 days ago 10/19/2020, just to double check that our reservation was still good and there was no damage. They confirmed there was no damage and that it would be ready for our wedding. Today 10/21/2020 they cancelled out reservation due to hurricane damage, 2 weeks before our wedding. Why did they lie to us twice? And especially 2 days beforehand? That is not acceptable especially for something that is as important as a wedding. If they see this please contact me for a friendly little phone call.

Vacasa is a scam

This company is a joke. They cancelled our reservation a day before the check-in date due to not having the place clean, however, they kept our money. It was up to us to request a refund. They said it will take 8 weeks to mail a check, they couldn't simply just refund our card. We waited the 8 weeks and no check. We called and nobody took accountability, they just keep passing the buck around and finally got a supervisor who said they will reissue the check and it will take another 4 weeks! This is ludicrous. Horrible "service", horrible company.

I have booked a resort close to Kelowna for a family vacation. After the wildfire started, we couldn't reach the property due to the fire. Called Vacasa to cancel due to natural disaster, they refused to refund, only cleaning fees($200 out of almost$1400). I escalated the issue to their management only to find it was even worse than the 2 customer service representatives I had talked first.
Their response was "it's not our fault"!
They offered a reschedule of reservation within 30 days, but increased the reservation by $540! Seriously!
That was the worst unprofessional experience we have had with such service, we will never do business with Vacasa anymore.
I will never recommend them to anyone.
People; document everything when you deal with them, if you ever done that.
Thanks for #Airbnb for their support to resolve this issue.
Zero Star to Vacasa all the way.

Condo Canceled
June 19, 2021

We booked a condo in Eagle Crest Resort, Redmond, Oregon in March for the following dates: July 29 thru Aug 3. We got notified three days ago that the owner put a hold on it. VaCasa did not have anything else for those dates. Why did they wait until now to tell us as all condos are booked for those dates. Our airlines reservations were booked around those dates. They did refund our deposit, but that created a lot of frustration trying to find accommodations for the dates needed. We spend hours on the computer looking for a place. We were traveling from the east coast to the west coast, so we were looking forward to having a nice place to stay and we feel that the owner and VaCasa ruined our vacation.

The lock will not work on my condominium door. To leave we either have to go 18 floors down get someone to come back with the key and let us inside every EVERYtime we wanna come in our door. And I was told by someone that worked at the desk that they knew that this lock was bad. They should've never rented this condo. And I wish I'd thought about it and realized things and check the reviews before I rented this, but I didn't my mistake. There's no phone number absolutely no phone number to get in Touch with the desk we're on the 18th floor we come up we can't get in. We have to go all the way back down to the first floor. Wait for somebody to help us tell him yeah we tried our code 15 times and it won't work and then they come up with a key and let us in. And you wonder why I am furious?

Poor customer service

Absolutely think the owner of this company needs to hear about his employee's and the way they help the customers that have booked with them. I was asking for a refund on my reservations due to inclement weather keeping me from traveling halfway across the United States. No offer on a credit for future reservations or anything. The representative had nothing to say except sorry but we can't go back on our policy, the owner wouldn't make any money if we went back on our policies. Wasn't asking for his bank account, just my money back on the reservations. I booked this through Airbnb and they generously refunded what they could and referred me to the host to collect the rest. I guess the owner of the company really needs this $467. Too bad the customer support couldn't be any better help than they are. Would not recommend anyone to book with Vacasa, pretty sure Vacasa is not the only place to book in the area you are visiting.

Wasted our time

We attempted to slightly change the dates of our trip. We followed the website directions to email them. They ignored our request and let someone else take our timeslot. They refused to extend the cancellation date after they wasted our time and failed to follow their own process. They were unwilling to take responsibility for their inaction.
