I have mixed feelings about UShip. UShip customer service was great and responded relatively quickly. However, since they hire third-party contractors in order to make these deliveries UShip can not help reaching out these third-party companies. After booking your shipment the only people that can help you are the third-parties customer service. I booked with Southeastern Freight Lines and although they delivered our packages without issues it was so hard to get them to even pick up out shipment. I scheduled a pick-up for Tuesday (07/30/24) and they kept "skipping" our stop without even a call stating they had an issue with the delivery instructions. Updates from both UShip and Southeastern Freight Lines were VERY minimal. Our shipment wasn't picked up until Thursday (08/01/24) and that only happened because I kept having to call customer service for a driver ETA. IT was a very stressful and infuriating experience and will most likely not use UShip again. The packages were delivered but it was SUCH an inconvenience I wouldn't want to experience again.
I tried a few times to use UShip. They first give your a range of what to expect for potential shipment costs; High, Medium & Low. The estimates never came close to the the low or medium and always ended up on the highest end.
After putting your shipping emails in you start to get bids and a bunch of aggressive response asking questions and urging you to book with them. All the estimates are the generally the same and when you want to book a service charge is added ON TOP of the shipping fee, not cool and it should be calculated in so you get a real estimate. Anyway, its an imperfect process but I suppose if you luck out and find a somewhat normal shipping entity with a reasonable price then its worth it. Otherwise try to avoid this process as Ive been reading also that your cargo gets beaten up pretty bad in the process.
I'm a first time user of uship and I am really glad I found them. I needed a travel trailer delivered to FL. From TX and I was calling independent companies and getting really high quotes. I found uship and listed it and was surprised at how many companies responded. My final bid that I accepted was more than half of what I was quoted calling companies on my own. I'm confused by the negative reviews, the customer is the one who selects the shipper they want to use and it's up to you to use your due diligence and check them out throughly before accepting their offer. I bypassed and declined a few that I didn't feel confident after reading their reviews. The lowest bid is not always the best shipper.
Hi Debbie,
Thank you for the review! We're glad to hear you had a great experience and look forward to working with you again soon.
Beware! Beware! Beware! Uship does not care if your belongings are stolen!
I had two vehicles in transit and both were stolen, along with memories, powertools and various other miscellaneous items added to the cargo. When speaking with Danny T via email, mind you, they won't even call you from the Loss Department, he proceeded to continuously be unhelpful, and continuously tell me that they can't move forward with my case. They've denied my case, even after providing a Police Report of my stolen items. They've also refused to reimburse my Protection Plan amount, with no reason given. It's been close to 2 months and all i've heard from them is "We can't move forward with your case."
DO NO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! They will turn their back on you, even when you do the right thing and purchase a protection plan.

I've used uShip many times over the years with good results. In using uShip for the first time this year, I've noticed there are a high number of brokers on the site. Going direct is far more difficult. To make matters worse, uShip, as I found out, does nothing to vet these brokers. This resulted in a poor experience. I hired a broker that had a good long track record according to reviews. They successfully moved the load too. Problem although they were paid in full, they did not pay the company that moved the load. Now they are hitting up manufacturers and service companies I'm associated with for payment. This reflects poorly on my company and is a huge problem for uShip! I will not use uShip till they address this issue as there are not measure to prevent this.
Hi RM,
I'm sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustrations. As a neutral third party, uShip gives shippers the ability to connect with independent carriers, vet/assess them, and choose their own carrier by comparing multiple sources of information, such as customer reviews, feedback scores, carrier profiles, and photos.
If you've not left feedback for your carrier, I think it's important to start there. Your Delivered Shipment email notification would have a leave feedback button within it as well as your listing page.
If there's anything we can do to assist further, please contact us at support@uship.com or (800) 698-7447. Being made aware of situations like yours is essential to maintaining and improving the safety of the uShip marketplace. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.
My car was supposed to arrive on 10/22…did not arrive until 8 days later no updates I had to call for the. Then when I asked for a credit for the inconvenience of me having to keep a rental an extra 8 days they told me their delivery dates are not guaranteed. No apology no updates why am I the one reaching out when you don't arrive on time. I would not recommend because they don't take care of their customers.

We loaded a moving pod and everything did not fit. We were lucky to post on UShip and Steven responded that same day, he was in the area and could pick up that evening and deliver within our timeframe. He came a few hours later. Took around (17) items from CA on Tuesday and delivered them in Boise on Sunday. Excellent experience/service!
Got a boat towed from PA. To CA. No pre dilivery inspection no pictures. Got in a 20 car pile up. Boat got damaged. Driver had no dot license on the underpowered truck that he drove inter state towing my boat. This is a federal offense uship is like uber only uber checks who is working for them. Be warned no support will be given and no credentials are checked when a driver picks up your cargo.
Rate doubled after delivery, come to find out after talking to a service rep. It was on their end, bc their system doesn't auto calculate for over size. Not my problem right? Still disputing for money back
Hi Dennis,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Service providers are able to discuss all costs associated with their bids, including oversized items, before a price is agreed on. If you have not done so already, please contact our support team at (800) 698-7447 or support@uship.com to address this situation.
When you look for options like Uship, you are expecting better rates and a good customer service, but this is not the case. I needed to send some packages within Canada, and when you compare the pricing with other well-known companies, it was actually more expensive. This makes no sense. This was my experience, so I would not recommend Uship.
Uship was great and easy to use. It was way cheaper and alot less hassle tha using FedEx or UPS Freight. It sometimes takes a few days to get a response to someone traveling through your area. But its still half the price of other options. The site is easy to use, and the whole process went smooth and easy. Highly recommend. It will now be my only freight shipping option.
A good way to stay away from the large shipping companies who could care less if your stuff gets damaged. I have used them 3 times and ALL 3 were an excellent experience. The shippers are self-employed and take extra care to deliver the items without problems or damage. Easy to use service and exceptional communication from the shippers. A+ service.
The site is easy to use and presented a lot of bids from carriers. The bid amounts were all over the map so I selected one in the middle with good ratings. The carrier was a rough and tumble guy and heavy smoker (the 3 motorcycles transported in his van still smell like smoke), but he was a good communicator and did what he said he would. There was no damage of any kind. I all worked out.
We shipped a golf cart from NJ to FL. Upon arrival it was determined that the cart was about an inch or two too tall to fit into the trailer. At that point he could have just said it won't work. He was determined to help us out. Lowered the air in tires and removed the roof of the cart. We were able to get it into the trailer. He went above and beyond for us. If there is every anything we need or a family/friend needs to ship, he will be our first call.
They will not stand behind what they do. They give you a bid to ship a package of certain dimensions and certain weight. I weighed the crate and measured it with the driver here. Two weeks later, they charge me an extra $200 and will not respond. They say that the package was overweight. Beware they are dishonest.
Hi there,
It sounds like you may have a dispute with the carrier/company you matched with, not uShip. Though uShip is a neutral third party that gives consumers the ability to find and work with independent carriers, we do our best to assist when situations like this arise. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact uShip support by calling (800) 698-7447 or emailing support@uship.com.
I used uShip to ship a motorcycle from Memphis to South Carolina. The suggested bid price was quite a bid lower than what I actually ended up paying. I tried using the Smart Phone App. But I had to go to the PC based on line site to complete and track my delivery to completion. UShip phone support is excellent but only available directly during normal business hours. After hours support is via voice mail
Very easy to get a quote from many shippers. Inexpensive fee charged by uShip. I received a lot of fair quotes from various shippers so it is also very much a high profile 'go to' tool for shippers wanting to work directly with customers.
They are liars after the quote and delivery they ask me to pay $450 for extra charge plus the first quoted price I paid already.
Hi Alaa,
Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you're unsatisfied with your uShip experience.
The only time it’s acceptable for a service provider to raise the price post-match is when there are additional shipment details that come up after the bid is accepted. When this happens, the service provider may need to adjust the bid price accordingly. In situations like this, the best way uShip Member Support can assist is by opening communication with both parties so they can discuss a potential resolution.
If there is a way we can further assist you, please contact us at 1-800-698-7447 or support@uship.com.
Had a rocking chair in NY I needed shipped to FL. After listing my product to be shipped, I received several bids and decided on Llyns LLC. We decided on a price, and Aaron took it from there. He text messaged me every step of the way, and delivered it to our house exactly as we agreed upon. He was a great guy to deal with, as was UShip. Will definitely use them again if needed and refer to our friends.
Hi Robert,
Thank you for the review! We're so glad to hear you had a great experience with the carrier you matched with on uShip. We look forward to working with you again in the future.
Pete picked up a golf cart I bought in Chestermere lake (in my absence) and brought it to Windermere BC on his flatbed. He had the right equipment, it arrived in good shape, properly secured, was on time (early in fact) and was very communicative from start to finish. I would definitely use Pete again!
